Okay I have a spice rack which needs to be raplaced with fresh herbs. Which ones dont go bad and what seasoning do I use for what type of food? I will list them in the next post after I clean off the bottles. sweatdrop But go ahead and list what you used for certain tastes or foods.

For soup or pasta I sugest basil. Tia basil or spicey basil or even sweet basil.
If you really want the bare minimum for your cupboard, I would keep: - all herbs, they can be used for any meat dish and since they are dried their shelf life is extremely long.
- cinnamon, as it is the most called for spice.
- cayenne to kick things up
- salt and pepper
- onion and garlic powders
- vanilla and almond extracts
- unsweetened cocoa
- cumin or curry for exotic flavors
- baking powder and baking soda

Yeah I have spices from before I was even born... haha from my Mom and she told me they never go bad so use what you have ^_^
