[Our War Must Continue]

Jazz
A black and white claw smacked the top of the gleaming dark oak counter, causing the bartender behind it to snap his head up, glowing eyes darting to the surface that had just been smacked, only to shift back up into the visored face of Jazz Meister.
“Well M’off bro,” Meister’s rich voice spoke with a satisfied undertone to it. Pushing his empty mug across the counter and into the large claw of the raver Coffee Equis, who just scowled at the idea of having to clean it, and carelessly shoved it under his counter.

“So you’re the eat and run type huh?” the massive Coffee grumbled leaning an elbow onto the counter.

“ya know me, can’t sit still fer long.” The smaller Coffee added with a thick chuckle, sliding off his stool and waving a hand to the disgruntled Equis, knowing his old friend had enjoyed having him to be a distraction from the other customers.

“I better see you back here by night!” Equis boomed after him, rather unprofessionally, causing many heads to turn in surprise from their drinks and snacks.

“ain’t ganna miss yer rave might bro, I’ll be here” Mesiter reassure him, laughing again and shooting a smooth grin before pushing open the door and crawling out into to cool late afternoon air.

Jazz had been enjoying his new life at the Swamp Side café, it was a relaxing existence at the least, and he had grown quite fond of his new family, thought in his heart there was still quite a distance between them, a void that; no matter how much he tried to ignore, would be a constant interference with those he attempted to get close to.
A pleasant smile still on his face as he meandered though the border of Candyland and the Swamp, not drifting into either. Head held high, an effect of showing off the chest design he wore, and the symbol that had deep and old meaning to Jazz gleaming on his chest and shoulder. A symbol that had probably lost all meaning to the two lands long ago, but still remained as powerful to Jazz as it did the day he received it. Though it served as more of a memorial now.
Humming a tone that had stuck with him from the jukebox he had been played with earlier, he enjoyed being out and moving.

Starscream
"What's the matter, dark one?" Baphomet rumbled as he hefted his scythe higher into his shoulder, balancing himself easily on his back legs with his scythe and tail acting as counterweights. "Had enough already?" His mocking grin only added insult to injury as he loomed over the red and white numa who stood firmly before him in defiance.

Starscream snarled angrily and only showed him her left side, guarding her bleeding right rear leg. It would not do if she sustained further injury from his scythe, and while she was angry and impulsive, she was not stupid. "Laugh it up - I'm not done yet," she spat in response before taking a leap into the air to fly to safety. Her fur bristled when he laughed after her, but she knew better than to try to retaliate and instead glided to a safe distance before dropping back to the ground to nurse her wounded leg.

She scowled when she noticed he had also made a cut in the lower part of her wing on that side. That would heal on its own, but it didn't anger her any less. Sighing, Starscream licked the gash on her rear leg, swaying her wings up and down to cool her temper. She cast a glare at the purple symbol on the upper part of her wing while she nursed her wound. That symbol had given her nothing but hardship all her life, but still, she couldn't help but display it proudly. She still believed in its cause even if the cause was long dead.

Jazz
Ears fanning forward slightly, pausing for a moment to stare off into the wooded distance, mouth opening slowly in puzzlement as he could have sworn he had heard some laugher... but it was so faint, he could have very well just imagined it.
head shaking softly as he chuckled at himself and continued on.
he was still on the boarder, having its own unique scent, a blend of Coffee and Candy, though each was easy to pick out from the other. He didn't participially enjoy the scent of Candy, more for the feeling of edginess it brought to him.
sniffing to try and clear his nose, he started to drift off towards the Swamp, thinking he would enjoy the sites around his new home, he didn't get far however before a new scent, a scent that held more power then both Coffee and Candy or them combined drifted though the air, causing him to stop dead, jerking his head around.
Blood... and it was coming from Candy land.

hesitating for a long while, body curled towards the swamp, but head and mind extended towards where the scent of blood was coming from... and why? why was there blood in the air? from the impression he got there was not reason there should be, unless there was an accident, in which case someone needed help.
Changing his direction, Jazz broke the border and entered Candyland, his smaller size allowing him to part though the brush with relative ease.
following his nose to the source, he pushed though one last wall of brush, only to stop dead once they reviled just what he had been searing for.
mouth open again, eyes wide behind his visor, he stared at something he never expected to see again, the bold purple symbol of the enemy stamped upon the gray wings of a wounded female MLP.
unable to move or speak, as memories flooded back into his mind, trying desperately to sort out if he was actually seeing this, or if his mind was playing tricks on him from the smell of blood and candy surrounding him.

Starscream
Starscream continued to clean her wounded leg, licking the once white fur carefully. She pressed her tongue into the wound to keep the blood flowing for a while, not flinching even though it hurt. The pain was a good distraction - pain helped her think more clearly - pain was familiar in a new land full of so many unfamiliar things. The land had changed so much in her long life, she scarcely wished to dwell on it. She needed to focus on one thing at a time, and right now, that one thing was rescuing her companion - the only one she could trust anymore.

She glared heatedly at the lollipop grove in the distance, pressing her ears back. She had to confront Baphomet again - soon. Primus only knew what that horrible numa was going to do to Frenzy if she did not rescue him soon, but in her weakened state, Starscream did more damage to herself than she did to the brown numa. The war had taken its toll on her - she was unhealthy and weak, but she had to continue onward if only for Frenzy's sake. If anything happened to him, she doubted she could go on.

A rustle tore Starscream from her morbid thoughts, and she looked sharply toward the noise. At first, she only growled with annoyance. She did not like other numas - it made no difference whether they were candy or coffee or even pocket. None could be trusted, so she drove them away on impulse and attempted to do so now.

Then she saw that awful, horrid red symbol.

Every single strand of fur on Starscream's body stood on end as her slitted red eyes widened, her wings stiffened straight upwards, and her turbines screeched, scorching the grass underfoot. She started to shake though from fear or rage she was not certain. She thought they were dead - they were supposed to be dead. She and Frenzy were the sole survivors of the war - they had known that for decades. Yet there he stood - a coffee with the symbol of her enemy. And here she stood - injured and in no condition to fight anymore. What was she going to do? She could only hope she could intimidate the coffee enough to either drive him away or to escape.

Jazz
His dazed confusion lingered for longer then it should have, the absence of fighting in the lifestyle he had adopted for the many past years had dulled his soldier reflexes; If you see the purple symbol, attack first… ask later. It was what had kept him and many of his comrades alive… for the most part.
But he had been so convinced that they were all dead… they HAD to be all dead, that he could not POSIBLY be seeing one in front of him now. The only explanation was that he must just mistaking a normal Candy Numa for his enemy, and he had no desire in going around attacking innocent Numa.
But the longer he stood there, starting at her armor, her symbols, watched her posture stiffen defensively, and that horrible Screech of her powered boots that the Numacon Seeker’s all emitted.
No, this was not his mind playing tricks on him, this was his past returning to him, He, Jazz was not the soul survivor. But why… why did it have to be a Numacon.

A thundering growl swelled from the small Coffee’s chest as his lips curled up from his long tusks. Face lowering to try and add to his own intimidation, eyes narrowed behind his visor as he started to analyze the situation.
The thing that stood out more promptly was her wound, she was injured, and that gave him a clear advantage. Before, he might have thought twice about attacking one who was already ignored, but after suffering the loss of his follow soldiers… his friends, mercy towards the Numacon was not coming easily.

“The war is OVER!” he boomed, tail swishing sharply behind him as he advanced cautiously forward to position himself in the clearing, for while Coffee where significantly more powerful then Candy and MLP, an experienced Autonuma knew better then to ever underestimate the craftiness and abilities of a trained Numacon. To do so had often resulted in a rather unpleasant, and messy defeat. “You and yer kind are supposed ta be DEAD!”

[On Neutral Ground]

Heritage
Black head wings flattened back against an equally dark scaled head, curled hooked snout turned up with peaked curiosity, accompanied by a soft hiss.
Ansel, while highly curious was just as much cautious, he had never smelled blood before and was intrigued by its sickening aroma. Rather then venture for much further however, the back Digi chirped in apprehension, and hopped down from the branch he had perched himself on, earning himself a glance from his care taker as he landed with a soft crunch in the snow next to the gleaming Coffee.
Heritage could read his Digi surprisingly well, and knew that there would be something interesting waiting up ahead. Pausing his progress though the snow, letting the streaming ribbons settle down around him again. He lifted his ears up, and fanned them forward.
"I smell it to" he said in Response to his Digi once again nosing the air.
It was a thick and sick smell, blood and bad heath. Yet Heritage could not help but draw in a few more breaths of it, his coffee blood getting a rather disturbing attraction to it.
“Go find it” he said softly to his Digi.
Giving Heritage a piercing stare, before his head lowered and he streaked off like a haunting shadow, slipping out of sight before Heritage could speak another word.

Frenzy
Frenzy fluttered as best he could over the sticky mess of molasses which made up the swamp, his tattered wings having trouble keeping him airborne. In his mouth, he carried a stalk of licorice - the only source of nutrients he could find in the swamp. He would have vastly preferred to find chocolate or gumdrops - even marshmallows would be better than licorice, but he could not afford to leave Starscream alone for as long as it would take for him to find a proper source of nutrition.

As soon as he was close enough, Frenzy dropped onto the grass at the very edge of the swamp and darted into the rock candy outcropping there. Inside the little cavern of rock candy was Starscream. Most of her wounds from the battle with Baphomet and the less threatening injuries from the Autonuma they met had healed or at least were not open wounds anymore, but her health was horrible and had been even before the fight.

Frenzy whimpered and nosed the licorice over to his friend to eat. "'Ya need ta eat," he told her even though he knew she could only half hear him through her fever. If he could just get her the proper food, she would be doing so much better. She was a candy numa - they needed sugar, but all he could find in the swamp was molasses, coffee, and licorice.

Heritage
Maneuvering though the swamp was almost natural for a Digi-coffee, they were built to be able to make there way though the stick environment with swiftness and ease. It also helped that Ansel was especially fast.
Streaking into the nearest bush when he heard the sound of light talking. Long neck crouched low to the ground as he peered curiously though the leaves. What he saw was unexpected in the least, it was not very often one saw a Candy in the Swamp, let alone a MLP and what looked like her Fluffy.
He could tell there was something wrong. From the looks of it the MLP was in a very sad state of health, and the fluffy was hardly in good shape either.
Hissing softly he slid forward to get a better look, his halo slipping back over his head as his head wings folded themselves up again, his eyes, the only color on his body where wide and still.
Slipping out again and jumping up to the mouth of the cave, crouching low and stiff, just staring.

Frenzy
Starscream managed to wake up just long enough to take the licorice and start to halfheartedly chew on it, red eyes glazed over from fever. Frenzy nuzzled her head worriedly as she ate, trying desperately to think of what else he could do. He had to find proper food for candy numas, but finding any would probably take a day of searching plus the time it would take to drag it back. Maybe he could hide the entrance with licorice or something...

Frenzy's ears pinned back when he heard something, and he spun around to look to the entrance. He had not forgotten about the Autonuma they ran into the other day and had been keeping guard in case the wretched coffee came to finish them off.

Frenzy bristled his fur and spread his ragged wings in an attempt to look threatening as he hissed, "Who's there?"

Heritage
the creature was completely black, other then a glowing gold halo that was the most obvious give away of its location. it imply looked like a shadow with two bright green/yellow orbs plastered on a black face.
Ansel did not speak as he was discovered, either by choice or by inability, but he did let out a soft Hiss when he was called to, tail flicking behind his as he bowed his head even further, staring intently, but looking ready to bolt at any moment. he was never one to get into a fight, despite the swamps residence were more commonly like, most could almost call him a coward for how easy it is to make the Black digi flee.
while his strong curiosity was keeping him from fleeing at the moment, and the knowledge that his care taker was following behind, he continued to Hiss, and cautiously watch the fluffy, eyes darting towards the female MLP every now and then.
