So, to many of the old regulars of the guild, this guild seems dead. The daily discussion has died off, and many things seem to have changed.
What should we do to fix this?

I'm personally not one of the regulars of this guild, just joined because I'm a huge Haruhi fan.
But a way to bring it up, if you haven't done this, would be make contests, cosplay discussion, start sending out announcements asking about weird sitings and such (or magic).
Just try sprucing things up, and do what everyone needs to do to make a guild big: Make attractions.

 We've already done all this, I think we just need to advertise more people to our guild. With more people, there comes more chat and interesting people.

We've done those, many times over.
One of the big things is that the guild isn't only related to Haruhi. In the end, it's a place to make friends and just chat about life overall.
Hm. Maybe a name change would help.

Eh, maybe it's because of the good times I associate with it, or because I'm not so fond of change, but I don't think a name change is totally necessary. I feel that the GSOS is something wholly separate from the Haruhi franchise. Now, maybe the description/how we advertise can change to reflect that better, but GSOS just feels like us.
Oh, btw, hope y'all have been well in during long while it's been since I've made an appearance.

Offer free cheese samples. If that doesn't work. Then force them to take my Accounting test.
Okay in all seriousness, new name may work, but at the same time, I like the name as it is. We do need more new members since there's always a rapid turnover of users at every time of the day and week.

Basically advertise. A name change would be refreshing.
Almost no one posted even when S2 came out!
But Endless Eight killed off my interest in Haruhi. I mean seriously, who thought it was a good idea to do that? scream
Now my favorite anime is Bakemonogatari. Senjougahara Fascination! heart

Contests are great, if people know they're here.
Set up a whole bunch for halloween (you already know I'm stuck on it) and once you got it all organized, prizes picked out and all. Advertise and use that fancy guild announcement button to lure people in! (like me, who forgets things like guilds constantly)

What we need is something that attacts people to keep comming to the guild to stay and have fun. With the new guild announcements being notified to our members, that can be a big turnover to help raise activeness. Hell, I haven't been here in a long a** time, but I'm posting just because of that annoumcement ^^;
Name change doesn't bother me, but it does seem like a good idea.
The only big problem I find in guilds (all kinds of guilds) is inactive sub-forums. There's always just one active forum while the others sit. Yes, we need activeness in the guild as a whole, but activeness all round is a good thing too =]
...Just throwing things around.

That one certainly brought me here,
