DO NOT POST UNLESS YOU ARE TELLING ME WHY YOU SHOULD BE THE NEXT LEADER OF THIS GUILD, AND IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THE RULES OF WHAT YOU ARE TO PUT AND THE LENGTH OF THE REASON WHY YOU SHOULD BE THE LEADER, YOUR POST WILL BE DELETED AND YOU WILL GET A WARNING, REPEATED RULE BRAKING WILL GET YOU BANNED, I HAVE TOO MUCH GOING ON IN MY LIFE RIGHT NOW TO BABY SIT A BUNCH OF PEOPLE WHO CAN'T FOLLOW RULES!
Hello everyone... this has been a long time coming sadly...
With my life in the military, being deployed all the time... and just not having time for this guild... I will have to pass it on to someone who has more time for it then I do.
As you can tell, I'm never on here anymore (Other then having art contest) so If you think your up for the job of taking over this guild... here's what you need to do
Post in here giving me your reason why you should be able to take over this guild...
This can be no shorter then 100 words per paragraph, and a total of 5 paragraphs. You need to tell me what makes you a truly good guild leader, what you have pland for this guild, and what you pland to make it bigger and better then is already is.
Also tell me a bit about yourself... Don't go to indeapth with this, because other people will be able to read this... but just a bit to let me know something about your.
Please follow these rules and here in Jan the guild will be turned over to the new owner!

If you members do not want a new leader for this guild, and do not start putting in why you should be, the guild will just close all together, and everyone removed. I don't think you all want this to happen, so start putting in the reasons why you should be the next guild leader, or I will have to removed anyone and close the guild!

I noticed your lack of applications for guild captain and then your warning about shutting the guild down. I know I haven't been here lately, but I've been needing a reason to drag myself back here. I love this guild. It is probably one of my favorites and it is also the first guild I ever joined. So this place has a lot of sentimental value to me. I would really hate to see this guild shut down so here, I post an application. I will try to shoot for the required five paragraphs, so this will likely be interesting.
Why would I make a good captain? I have captained two guilds, one of which I handed over to some one else due to it having been a gift. The second, I am still maintaining and people are still active on. I am also a vice captain in another guild, acting more as a guide to help a brand new captain learn the ropes. I keep the guilds organized and I help make sure everyone is following the rules, whether that means scanning a few pages of the rps here and there or just going through and keeping a list of marks against the rules each person has. I like to try and keep a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the guilds I help run. It makes them all the more welcoming and a lot easier to keep up and running.
For the guild and what I have planned, that, so far is up in the air. Maybe a few guild only contests here and there. A few new sub forums. I would likely post a thread first, asking what the guild members think we need to improve and what needs to change completely. I'm willing to work with everyone on this and get their opinions. After all, if I can get their thoughts on this and hear their concerns, I can help keep this place a happy guild. So, again, it is still slightly up in the air, but I am looking into a few possibilities.
How to make the guild bigger and better? Possibly apply for a Gaia event to be held or hosted by the guild. Either that or go into the guild forums and do a bit of advertising. I might even converse with other captains, getting some helpful advice on how to let the rest of Gaia know we're here. This also stems back to the previous paragraph. Depending on the feed back I would get from the rest of the guild members, I would know what direction to go with the guild. But the main goal would to keep the guild easily navigable, welcoming, and organized.
Last, a little about myself? Well, again I am the captain of an entirely role playing guild as well as vice captain in another guild. I had previously started a guild prior to last year that was centered around anime and manga. I was captain of that for about five months before it was ready to be turned over to the vice captain. With the guild I am currently in charge of, we have regular posters and I have threads set up where you can easily contact either me, the vice captain, or any of the mods if need be. I check it at least once a day and I look over every question or concern I get. I spend most of my time in the guilds, making sure they are running correctly and just getting to know my guild members be it by joining an rp with them or just discussing something in a thread.
If there are any questions you have or any concerns just pm me. I'm on at least once every day. Even if I don't get the position, I still just hope that this place keeps running. It really is a guild with a lot of good memories and it would be a huge loss if it were to be shut down. Gaia needs guilds like this. It is welcoming and already feels kind of like a family. Thank you for taking the time to read this horrid application, I know it had to have been pretty bad, and I wish you luck in finding a captain.

I've been a bit hesitant to write this considering right now I am without a computer and can only get online about three times a week using my mom's computer. But, I just found out that I am getting a laptop in January so I will be able to come on more and decided to apply especially because of the recent guild announcement. I really enjoy having a place where a bunch of FMA fans can come and talk about the show and I'd hate to see this shut down. D:
I have had guilds passed to me before for a short amount of time as well as managed my own. I feel that I have very good organizational skills and speaking (typing?) skills. If I am to become the guild leader one of my first steps would be to clean up the guild forums a little. See what no one has ever posted in or what people rarely post in.
Also, I would see who is still interested in being in the guild so that the guild isn't cluttered with non-active members. I would do a lot of advertising to try and get new recruits for the guild as well as add some new sub-forums and contests. I'd most likely write a new announcement introducing myself and asking some people for opinions of what they'd like to see be done with the guild.
I'd be able to make the guild better because I feel that right now the only reason it is lacking is because people are not as active as they used to be. I plan to re-do the guild front page. I will most likely keep the content that is there but probably spiff it up with colors and different pictures or banners. I would also try to assign all the moderators to specific sections to make sure that every part of the guild is running smoothly and everyone is following the set rules.
As far as things about myself, I'm not too interesting. I am 21 and right now I work part time at a day care. I will be heading back to college to be a Clinical Medical Assistant in January part time for only a few hours a day. I draw pictures and post them on Deviant Art. I have been a leader and a co-leader on two clubs on DA. I had a Kingdom Hearts guild passed down to me here on Gaia which I soon closed down because of lack of activity from the members. I also co-ran another guild with a friend and have helped out many forum hang outs.

Thank you for considering me as a guild leader, even if you don't pick me I hope that the person you do pick can keep this place running, It'd be a shame to see it get shut down. :/ Thanks for your time.
