Here's a quick FAQ to help answer some questions. If you have any that aren't answered, feel free to ask!

What am I allowed to post here?

As long as it follows Gaia's ToS, anything! Sketches, photography, digital art, literature, sculptures, beads, sewing. Anything you have created and want to share!

Why are there so many rules? D:
Be an artist and writer myself, I take the art industry very seriously. X3; Plus, I want to make sure this doesn't turn into an undesirable environment. I want to keep it happy and fun. :3

Can I make multiple posts?
I'd try to keep it all to one post, but you certainly may if you wish. :3

If I ask for concrit and I think someone was flaming me, what should I do?
PM me about it, with the post and the member name, and I will see what I can do. If I deem it really was flaming, I'll talk to them about it. But realize that if you can't take criticism, it's not considered flaming. If you can't take it, you probably shouldn't ask for it.

Is there any restriction on file type?
Certainly not! If JPG looks better to you, use it. If you prefer PNG, go for it!

Is there a size limit for pictures?
It depends on how you're posting. If you are posting the image directly into the page, please try not to have it larger than 500px in width. If it is larger, please put a link to it instead! ^^ This is to avoid page stretching and atrocious loading times. :3

Why can't I post something that isn't mine?
Well, because it's not yours. :3 I don't support art thievery of any form, and I don't tolerate it. It's a disrespect to the artists who decided to share their works with others. If you want to show a picture off that you found and thought was funny/pretty/ect, the Chatterbox is a good place for that.

Why should we watermark our stuff?
To protect it! People are so readily willing to take art and use it however they wish nowadays. I had a friend who wasn't that great at drawing, but her art was stolen and sold on eBay as lighter covers, clock faces, t-shirts and the like. Someone else was making profit off of her work! If you watermark it like I explained in the watermark-thread, your art is at a far less likely chance of being stolen and used. Plus, if it's reposted anywhere on the internet, people will know who actually drew it and how to contact you to report it/compliment you/ect.

So do we HAVE to watermark our stuff?
Well, no. It's not in the rules, so you certainly do not have to. However, I will still highly recommend it to you anyway. :<

Uh, that's it for now. If there are any others, I'll be glad to answer and add them up here. ^^
