By the sacred whiskers of Mau Bast, you all have NO idea how badly I want to see more of the fictional milieu of Gaia, nyao!

I would dearly love to see some serious steampunk (as well as cyberpunk, dark fantasy/gothic horror, and fantasy) elements added to the overall world of Gaia--for a couple of months now, I've suggested that people like us design some additions to Gaia and present them as a package to the admins and devs here. I think that if aficionados of different genres were to come up with a well-developed proposal, complete with descriptions, concept art, and suggestions on how these new areas, etc. could fit into the existing world of Gaia, the devs might be more willing to consider adding them, don't you?

Perhaps we could have a floating city in the clouds with a definite steampunk/magic-punk feel (much like the HMS Anachronism, possibly? >-_^<) that lifted off some time back in Gaia's past and now flies around the world, serviced by its own airship fleet and trading unusual goods produced aboard the airship city in exchange for foodstuffs, raw materials, etc. (i.e. new shops and new NPCs to interact with!).

Anyone like this idea? >^_^<

Steampunk is supposed to be what the past could have been like! An idealised world where racism, classism and imperialism don't have to exist anymore.
The punk in steampunk is all for sticking two fingers up at the old boys club who acted only in their own interests back in those days! We're supposed to be better than that!

I would have thought a steampunk world would be the last place you would find... discrimination!

Steampunk is for everyone brar! Even teh_n00bs!

But yes, I would like to see a steampunk world. They could do all manner of things with it! Give us an airship or even a steamy city where we can build proper steamy houses too!

Can't wait for remnants of skystone to be finished, while on this subject!
