Welcome to the Ravenclaw Common Room!
"Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw If you've a ready mind Where those of wit and learning Will always find their kind. "
Ravenclaw Tower, which is located on the west side of the castle (OP1 cool ; the entrance is a door at the top of a tightly winding spiral staircase that leads up from the fifth floor. The door has neither handle nor keyhole, but a talking bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle. Rather than asking for a conventional password, the knocker will ask a question; if answered correctly, the knocker will compliment the person on the answer and the door will swing open (DH29).
The common room, like the other House common rooms, is decorated in House colours (blue and bronze silk wall hangings, in this case, and a midnight-blue carpet decorated with stars). The room is wide, circular, and very airy, with a domed ceiling painted with stars, and walls with graceful arched windows that provide a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. There are bookcases, tables, and chairs, and opposite the entrance is another door leading to the dormitories.

Rose entered the common room and noticed it was unusually empty....
She dragged herself to her desk and pulled out a piece of parchment and a quill. She started to write a letter home when she heard a loud thud comming from the main part of the common room....
"What in the world is that," she wondered....
She decided she best investigate.

Estelle was in the Ravenclaw's House Library trying to find a good fiction book to read. As she pulled out a particularly small book that had been jammed onto the shelf, she unknowingly started an avalanche of books. Estelle now found herself buried beneath a few heavy texts and many other novels.

Rose rushed in to see a girl underneath what seemed a never ending sea of books. "Oh my god! Are you ok under there?" No answer, she decided it was time to take action
Wingardium Leviosa
She very rapidly focused all her energy into moving all of the books at one time as if they were one unit. When she had them high enough in the air....
Depulso
She sent the books flying across the room, they could be delt with later for now she had to worry about the girl who was previously burried underneath all those heavy tomes.
"Are you alright," she asked with a great deal of concern and worry.

Estelle looked up and gave a pained smile, "Hurts a bit, but I'm alright. I've been hit with much worse playing Quidditch." Estelle got up and stared at the sea of books that were now shoved in the corner, and said "Pertornare Mensola"* One by one the books began to fit themselves back onto the shelves. Holding out her hand she said, "So, I'm Estelle, and I'm very greatful that you helped me out there."

Rose shook the girls hand "I'm Rose, and your welcome. I'm sure you would have done the same for me," she smiled. "That was a pretty impressive spell, I'm not familiar with that one . Anyway, are you sure you don't need to see the nurse?"

"I'm fine, really. It's only a few bruises...but you're right, I should head to the nurse," Estelle smiled and picked up her book. She prepared to leave. "It was nice meeting you Rose."
