XD I should be a writer for soap operas.
So I found of list of things I'm allowed to do legally in SC and things I'm not.

1. I can run away from home.
2. I can be tried as an adult in a court.
3. I can have sex with people over 18.
4. I can still have sex with people UNDER 18!
5. I can go to an R-rated movie by myself.
6. I can get a full-time job.
7. I can drop out of school.
8. I can register to vote.

BUT....

1. I cannot buy cigarettes.
2. I cannot buy alcohol.
3. I cannot enter the military.
4. I cannot go to a club.
5. I cannot go to a bar. (though honestly they never check IDs)
6. I cannot take a loan from a bank.
7. I cannot sign for myself in a hospital.
8. I cannot get a credit card.
9. I cannot open a business.
10. I cannot vote.

TECHNICALLY
17 is in South Cackalackie. blaugh

Here, 17 is practically an adult, without a few privaleges. And you have to be 17 to get into an R-rated movie by yourself...you can get in at any age as long as your with a family member that's over 18. Unless you're under 6...then you can only get in until 6 pm.
