My second highest priority in life is to progress along my spiritual path and become the best I can in whatever respect my path offers. Every now and then, I think I can see where the path is taking me, then it shifts dramatically. Does anyone here know where their path leads them? Is anyone at the end of their path? I would be surprised if anyone had an answer for either of these. One question I do hope to find answers to, "Where do you want/hope your path will take you?" I know death lies ahead in the path, but I'm sure that's not the end of it. Do you find yourself longing to be something greater? What in your opinion would be "great?" Personally, I hope for nothing more specific than certainty.

I know not where my path may lead, nor am I near the end of my path. To be honest I don't think it ends. My hope is that our path extends beyond the mortal life. I think that we are here to learn, to experience all that Earth has to offer, we simply keep reincarnating until we have gathered all the experiences then we as a whole move on to gather experiences elsewhere be it another planet, dimension, universe, galaxy, or something completely unfathomable to us in our current forms. I think we just continue to gather experience and knowledge infinitely, therefore we are always walking our paths, and our paths are always changing, twisting and turning. I don't know that that would be considered something greater or just something other. It is a belief I have held for years now.

That's interesting. So rather than growing towards a certain point, you're growing to uncover new gems of experience?

To tell the truth I dislike the idea of paths, and the prospect that any endeavor we take must eventually end.
I was asked a similar question about five years ago and the answer to that was rough, but since then Iv completed a kind of saying for it. (Forever I shall walk up a world yet made till my feet lay fields of endless hills and my eyes witness skies of endless splendor)
I must admit however that its not entirely mine as I got the first Idea of it from one of my favorite teachers Mrs Wyne. He was the one of the best philosophy teachers at the time. But even he thinks all things shall end.

I like the idea of something greater as long as that something is better then where I'm coming from. If that's the case then I'm just peachy with the outcome no matter what.
