The wedding reception was starting to obviously end for the evening. However the music in the background was still lively. The stars lit high above the sky, was the audience for those still full of life down on the planets surface.
For both the age groups of young and old were on the dance floor. Perhaps there was a golden opportunity for the youth to learn from their elders. And for the elders to learn something from the next generation, taking the next steps in life.

Cora Hellsing Cal suppressed a giggle as she opted to put her shoes on now that there were more in her circle of conversation. She smiled to Kayla in welcome and looked back at Erik. "I would not call you old," she protested. "Older, yes, but not old. 'Old' has a connotation of a walker and nursing home." Setting down her glass, she continued, "Perhaps you would teach a novice learning, if you pardon the break with decorum." Erik quirked a high brow in mere curiosity, looking the young lady from head to toe. She was definitely exquisite to the unknown eyes. A personality that would capture any man's attention. Erik found it quite interesting that this young lady had really anything to do with this old foogie, he thought to himself. Bringing on a light smirk to his thoughts. Setting down his half empty glass upon the table top. His blue eyes appeared to take a different light on the situation. Thinking about the next step in this setting. Taking the risk. He excused himself from the company, very gentleman like. Bowing his head towards the young lady. Offering his left arm for her to capture, "every day is a golden opportunity to learn from any situation my dear. And you, my lady, won't be the only one learning something new." His smirk turned into a genuine smile, as he waited for Cal to follow his lead.

Cal toed off her shoes again [she wasn't very graceful in them anyway] and took Erik's arm. "You're a flatterer," she said, swiping at a fallen lock of curly brown. "What could I possibly teach you that you don't already know? I am not what my diction and personality suggest." She blinked a few times to adjust her vision [she'd forgone her glasses] and added, "Not to put you off."

Erik noticed that Cal appeared to be slightly uncomfortable in the shoes she was wearing, "Perhaps then my dear. You do not need such articles along thine feet." Gesturing towards the shoes, as he lead her out towards the dance floor. Smirking slightly, only if the young girl could read minds. Then she'd understand what lessons in life she could teach to others. Hrmph. Oh really? He thought. "Then if that is true my dear... why the innocent expression and body language? Catch twenty two?" He wasn't mocking her, only making an observation. Turning towards her with a slow bow of his body. His left arm glided out and away from her, though his hand captured her right hand delicately. While his right hand crossed and laid against his chest, while bowing towards her. Standing back upright, he allowed her the time to dispose of the hurtful shoes. "The best way to learn how to dance is by feeling, my dear. As well as expressing your body language to others. Let your body do the talking. Not by side stepping. By flowing smoothly like a babbling brook. The music will help guide your feet, and move your soul to the beat. If you want a solid beat to listen too. Fade out everything around you, except the music, and the beating of your heart. And we will... begin the lesson."

She gave a little snort of amusement. "You're just teasing me," she said in good humor. She checked that her skirt was short enough to avoid trouble and gave him a small curtsy [she'd recently stung someone who was a Jane Austen buff]. She was burning to ask, but she refrained. There would be time later. Ghosting a hand through her hair again, she waited for his next instruction, holding out her hands for him to take.

~Storm watched on the sidelines. She knew Cal was knew and though there was a new peace with Magneto she still wasn't easy to trust him. She herself instead of dancing stood by the bar with a small glass of wine in her hand,~

Magneto took ahold of her hands, guiding her right hand to come to a rest along his shoulder. His left hand and arm, slightly raised, eased down along her upper shoulder region. While his right hand took ahold of her left hand, giving her reassuring smirk. "Now that we have the hands under control. Relax your body. Don't stand so stiff. And when I move backwards, you move forwards - towards me. I will move slowly, until you can not only feel the music in your mind. But with your body as well. And when that happens my dear, you will feel your soul dancing along the floor."

Cal relaxed easily into dancing posture. "I may not be proficient," she said sedately, "but I am a moderate dancer. Lead, and I shall follow." She kept the cool venom from her tone; she knew how like a peon she sounded. That phone call immediately came to mind. Not yet, she thought to herself. Not yet.

Jubilee most definitely paused for a moment. Taking a double look, spotting Magneto of all people dancing with Cal. The sight of seeing him dancing, basically knocked her socks off. "Well whaddya know? The old coot does actually have a heart. Who'd thought?"

the 15 year old Hope creeped up next to storm and gave a sly grin- and a playful scoff, "jubes is right storm..I thought he'd at least use his cane.." she gave an amused laugh and looked at jubilee..

She kept the cool venom from her tone; she knew how like a peon she sounded. That phone call immediately came to mind. Not yet, she thought to herself. Not yet. Magneto ignored the bickering children along the sidelines. Keeping his steps in rhythm with the music, as he guided Cal delicately and slowly. He could still sense the tension in not just her body but as well as in her tones. Gently pulling her body closer to his body, only to push her body gently away. Moving her right arm up so that he could twirl her body slowly, like a ballerina would perform. Capturing her left hand in his right hand, as he pulled her back gently against his chest. His feet slid along the floor, as if he was buffing the wooden floorboards. Twirling Cal back out towards the floor, capturing her hands in front of her. "Now side step. Watch my feet." He took a few side steps to the right, before meeting back in the center towards her. The waltz they were doing was reminding him of when he was in Austria, a long time ago. After they side stepped with the music, he spun Cal around, delicately once again, pulling the front of her body close against his body. His left arm wrapped securely around her upper back, holding her closely as he continued the dance with passion. His right hand gently took ahold of her left hand, guiding her to ending of the music. Even though the music ended, he was still holding Cal closely. His eyes appeared to be locked with hers. It took a moment in his mind to calculate that the song was over with. Before giving the lady her space. Releasing her body and hand slowly. Back stepping a bit, to bow towards her. "Thank you... thank you Cal, for allowing me the time to dance with you."

Cal smiled back up at him. "If you'd rather not," she said, "you needn't stop. I've no one else to dance with tonight." She looked down on her hands, the surface still marked with scarring burns. "Or would you like to have a seat and talk?" She didn't want to go back to sitting quietly at her table with nothing to do. She folded her injured hands into her pockets.

Erik studied the young lady's expression. Watching her lower her gaze down upon her hands. Walking back towards her, he delicately took her hands into his. His thumbs delicately brushing the backsides of Cal's hands slowly. He swallowed dryly, coming to realization that she was injured. What a fool he was. For not observing her injuries before. "Please tell me, Lady Cal. That I did not further irritate your injured hands." His blue eyes were showing obvious signs of care for the lady's health and well being.

Cal shook her head quickly, allaying his distress. "No," she answered. "They're all right. I received these burns months ago." She looked down again. "I had thought they were healed fairly well, but then I don't have very much experience with burns. Please don't feel too badly. I'd forgotten all about them."
