I am actually dating a vampire. Of course many of my subjects aren't that happy about it and would much rather me be dating a dark elf, but what can you do when you're in love? So I of course don't really have a problem with them. Most of them anyways. I have had my quarrels with a few in the past. One of them being the Vampire Prince.

I can tolerate some of them, thought there's two that I've grown very attached to. One being my twin (aCiDiC pSyChOtIc), and the other one is my younger sister (CrypticDarkness). Though, my younger sister runs her own clan of Vampires. My twin hates leading and following, therefore she is a loner. . well. . . until she hangs out with my Guildmates and I.

Vampires as a theme in books/ literature I like, as long as they don't sparkle like Tinkerbelle. scream There are a few vampire series I like, but there's also a lot of online vampire stories I'm more into.
As for RPing, I'm working on my character Vyce's background and she has connections with a vampire who is another character I RP (though not on gaia- I keep my vampire RPs off of gaia cuz they usually tend to sky-rocket out of the PG-13 category. sweatdrop )

In regards to vampires, I do like them, however, since Twilight, they've gotten a little overplayed. I mean, "The Vampire's Assistant" "Twilight: New Moon", "Transylmania",...and I'm sure there's a few that I"m forgetting, and that's just this year, guys.
It is my personal belief that the only vampires worth acknowledging are Louis, Lestat, and Armand from Interview with a vampire and LOUIE VON HELSON! <3

*glances over and notices styk's post.* wow, and here i thought he came across lik the Dark Elf nazi against Vampires... anywho...
i have always loved Vampires, and in fact, i have made my best RP characters as Vampire Dark Elves. my mom even read the Queen of the Damned while she was pregnant with me. xd
as Ayame said before me, it is upsetting that the only reason they became popular again was because of that rediculous and pathetic excuse for litterature, spewed out of the pathetic mind of a pretentious girl far too old to be stuck in her self-demeaing fantasies, that is the twilight series. (and i have had this name for YEARS prior to her emergence as an "author"... she can't write worth s**t by the way...)
however, there are still good Vampire medias out there, such as the Chronicles of Vladimir Todd, or the Queen of the Damned, or True Blood, or the D&D game... or hell, even Angel, though it's not very accurate, it's still a great show to watch! 3nodding

Interview with a Vampire is actually a pretty entertaining movie. I watched it with some of my friends, like, when I was eight. Then when it was on the Sci-Fi channel I was pretty stoked. Bram Stoker's Dracula was another good Vampire flick. Though, the Nosferatu will forever remain the best Vampire movie ever. Hands down.

i still feel upset though of the rather large fictional-racism problem on Gaia though. sad this thread has gotten all of 12 posts in like a year? realy? and is only very mildly tolerant of Vampires.
why are so many Dark Elves so spiteful and hateful towards Vampires, Humans, Centaurs and the like? AND HOW COME NOBODY ACKNOWLEDGES THE ORCS AND TROLLS! gonk
i intend to make it worthewhile though. i don't expect to stop the racism, but i figure i can shine some spotlight on it at least, and help promote Roleplaying on the site.
