Talking about servers made me want to just make a thread on them. Do you have any specific reasons for why you are in server you are in? Share whatever you'd like here. Whether its about the people, the economy, or just the feel of the server. :3

Scania.
Like I said in the last thread, because my main source of meso resides there. XP
Also because it's easier to get a hold of higher lvl items (at least for me it's easier), through basilmarket & the freemarket.
In the newer servers, since there aren't many players in them yet, no one seems to have any weapons or equipment I need or it takes me awhile to get em'. sad
About the people: are communities different in different servers?
I haven't played Maple in awhile, but in Scania, the lower-levels (10-30) seems to be...um, more "short-fused".
While I was in a KPQ last night we had a newbie in our party, so he was slow on what to do. The leader was explaining it to him & our fourth party member just broke out and screamed, "WTF, YOU EFFING NOOB! HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO?? YOU'RE SLOWING IT DOWN FOR US. f**. HURRY THE f** UP. DAM FUKING NOOB!!!!!!! f5f5f5f5" I was just like, "Settle down, dude. f6" Which he didn't until the new guy got his pass. >_> Later I saw the angry mapler didn't know the "proper" order of the barrel course. He kept jumping around and we ended up unable to complete it because it was taking us way too long. The guy didn't know how to stand still.
This happened twice in one day, there was another new PQer in our group and a very impatient player.

lol, I'm in Kradia for only one reason, my best friend. I was "mapling it up" in Khani, than my best friend in real life joins Kradia and doesn't wanna start a new character, and I look at my 10X Priest, and say nu uh, not starting a new guy, so he buys a world transfer and I transfer over. Stayed in Kradia ever since.

I dunno about lower levels, but High levels are like that here, you can ask one question and they'll call you a noob. I was on a zrun once, on my BW, he has nx and can mule helms and my friend hosts zruns so we can make so mesos, and he get exp also, and on this run we also had another helm mule, a lv. 8X Wind archer. In the party we have a bishop and a DrK, 15X Drk, he was just supposed to HB and keep her HBed.... and the attacker party was pro as hell, yet before the 3rd arm died, HB gave out and the Drk was on the other side of the map, killing the arms, We screamed for HB for her( I've got auto pot and survived alone, a lv. 120 Blaze Wiz doesn't need HB if you know what your doing, and I do.) So the Wind Archer dies, and me and the Wind Archer are like "WTF your in our party, your just supposed to HB!" all he could say is "you didn't say HB nub"....ugh, a fight broke out and the Wind Archer left... So all in all..... I ask everyone this:
Are the high levels in every server as stupid and stuck up as kradia?
(Seriously... though girls tend to be cool, guys though.... >_<;; )

Well, I guess I'll talk about Bera. I have a few friends in real life playing there, so I wouldn't dare pick another server. Everything is good there, I can find everything I need (most of the time), my mesos are good, and the population isnt too big. But there are a heck load of KoC. o.o
The people there are, well, good for the most part. But like any other server, there are those players that cannot be patient with others. If someone is new to a PQ, there will always be someone there to call them a noob. Its disappointing, but there is always other people to defend the so called "noob", and help them along, so its alright. Though I gotta disagree with Kite from Bera's perspective; I'd say its about the same over here in Bera. Some girls are just as bad as guys. (if they are truely girls, how can you tell anymore? o.O)

@ Kite: I don't see much a*****e high levelers in Scania, but then again I'm only level 30. XD I've seen a few lvl 1xx players in the henesysPQ helping the lower levelers though. smile
@ Kyrade: There are lots of KoC in Scania as well, including me. Most regular sins are still stronger than me though cuz I'm not dexless. XD
I'm kinda regretting that now...
& for the PQ thing, it really is disappointing. sad
It also seems to be more common to find people like that than just a year ago.

Yeah, I started playing when Scania, Bera, and Broa were the only servers, and the people weren't even close to being as bad as they are now. I guess it's because of all the new cashshop stuff like 2x exp and scrolling that people became snobby. I dunno, its just sad. But there is still good in the servers, so I tend to hang around and make friends with them. ^^

Jenetic, you'll like not going dexless later, at least in Kradia, on all the zruns i've ever been on, I've onlu seen normal/low dex sins(by low dex, I mean with Maple Warrior they can equip 100/110 equips). I've never sen a dexless sin, and most NLs I meet are normal or low dex, Maple Warrior helps a lot more than people think, and helps out a lot more for low dex/luk/str etc(Like my 147 bishop is low luk, with MW 20, he can equip reverse/timeless stuff, without it, he can't equip his dragon staff without dep star or MW.) Note: I gots no reverse/timeless equips, just know the req.s
Kyrade, I know.... It all seemed better when I started too, everyone was just in it to have fun. Now.... it's all about damage..."lulz nub, you dos 1 to blue snails with your wand".... ugh >_> if anything, it should be about hits(and truthfully, only then it should be about mages hits on leeching, cause 2hko and 1hko could mean mil.s per hr. difference), not damage.... on my nw, I actually had someone do literally 1 damage more, and called me a nub, defamed me, and went away.... I Saw him later when I was going to a training spot I like, while I was borrowing a few of a friends ilbis and 16 atk wg, he acted like he never knew me as I did twice his damage .... It's pathetic how the average maplers attitude is.... >_>;

Rude people on all rpg's can't be helped. My computer froze for a minute during a kpq when i was in Khani as i tend to play all the servers to see what the people are like there. Because it was frozen for a minute the party leader got angry at me and called me a noob when i had been playing for over a year on Broa and Scania. On the otherhand you get really nice people that just volunteer to help you whether you ask for help or not. As I ran into a thunder wizard or something like that last night in Demethos the newest of the worlds and she was helping my friend and i along with quite a few of our quests.

Broa: I started playing MapleStory this September and started off in Scania. I only was there for about a week when I found some of my friends in RL were on Broa. So I deleted my Scania character and went to Broa. I also like how it isn't as crowded as Scania. I think it is because that is where all the noobs go at first, no offence to anybody.

I started in Broa because of all my real life friends are in that server....
they stopped playing after a year....
so now I play in Mardia, its not that crowded... but its okay for me... feels good to start over again (with new friends)

I joined the new server maple just created becuz maple said 2x exp all day until jan 16th (perfect time to train my aran)..Can't remeber the name cuz it just came out >.< but it starts with a G i know lol. Thats my storyy! xp

When I first started, I was on Windia because I thought the little logo thing was adorable. xD
But then my friends were like "ohhh, come to Broa! we'll give you free stuff!"
Being the moocher that I am, I went to Broa. P:
I want to try out other servers but all my funds are at Broa and I loathe starting over with nothing.
