James tugged his bag against his shoulder, sighing as he approached the college. After his exams, James wanted to take a short break before attending, to delve into the finer things life had to offer: women, cars, parties. However, he had to set his priorities properly; he was a college student now, not some crazy sophomore.
The young man slowed his pace as he drew closer to the college. He had rushed in the morning, and now his bag bore down on him with his old school equipment, maths books that he no longer needed and books filled with scrawled last-minute french grammar.
Stifling a yawn, he approached a sign with the map of the college. The dorms weren't far from where he was standing, but considering he didn't have much stuff with him, James decided against going to claim a room.
"I wonder if there's a common room here...", he mumbled, tracing his finger along the map.The winding passages began to feel like a maze to him, and the longer he looked at it the harder it became to decipher. 'I'll ask someone...', he told himself, stepping back as he looked over his shoulder for anyone close by.
The slender teen continued to stand by the map, his hands shoved into his pockets with a curious look about his eyes. His attention turned to the students around him, mainly the female type. It would be no fun spending time in a college with no one to spend it with. However, the girls around him passed without stopping, barely taking the time to acknowledge his existence. With the new school term starting, who would? People were more focused on finding a dorm room, what classes they had and what teachers they would meet.

Sighing Sayuri looked at the paper in her hand, a little frustrated now. Ugh...great. First day and I'm already lost in less than an hour of being here... Tapping her foot a little she wondered what she should do. Fukui had been wandering for close to an hour of arriving, one bag of luggage still in hand. The college campus's confusing directions had led her off the path to the freshman girls' dormitory. Sayuri then held her head up, gathering her determination. Just keep going, it has to be around here somewhere...
As she walked around she felt a little happy that she had come to this level. Finally, college, a place to party and have fun. Smiling she imagined the fun times she would have here, the time in life where supposedly you act recklessly. Sure, you study, but that was part of the deal. However, Sayuri couldn't wait, already excited as she daydreamed.
Walking down a pathway and noticed a boy looking at a map. Slender, handsome in features, one who would obviously be a good catch. She stopped for a moment, taking in his appearance before returning her attention to where she was walking. He looked almost as lost as she was...but she wasn't sure. Tucking away the paper she held in her bag she walked over to the map, pretending to look at it and didn't say a word, wondering what he would do in response. After all, in high school, she got a response from guys whenever she did this ninety-nine percent of the time.

Sora Chao stood still, her feet parted as though she were ready to shift at any given moment. She sighed nervously, her eyes catching on her dorm. She had been given a girl with the name 'Sayuri' and was eager to meet her.
Slowly, she shifted again, walking into the chilly air of the dorm. Studying, meeting new friends, debating, singing... Sora was hyped about college. Smiling, she imagined how her life would be. She'd earn a name forself, maybe get her degrees early and... maybe even find a boy.
She shook her head. I mustn't think like that, she thought heatedly. I'm here for studies and conversation. Nothing more. Plus, there's the matter of Haku and that arranged marriage to him. I can not forget my goals. Sora nodded fiercly and continued, tugging a large suitcase with a duffel bag strapped to the front.
"Best to settle in for the durration," she whispered as she came to her room, marked witha shiny '7' on the door. She gasped and crossed her chest, praying that she would be safe. "This is auspicious," she whispered. "I can't believe I got sebun as my room!" Despite her fears, she stuck in the card key and smiled, opening the door to her new life.

James yawned, rolling his shoulders back as he looked up toward the bright sky. A small smile twitched on his lips as the feeling of being in a real college began to sink in. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad here; he'd find a few friends at least.
"Oh, sorry. I didn't know I was in the way". Coming to terms with what was going on around him, James noticed a young girl trying to make sense of the maze of a map as he had tried before. He stopped leaning against the side of the sign, sighing as he stopped over to lift his bag up again. As he rose again, he took the time to check out Sayuri. She was more than appealing; her hair swayed mesmerically in the gentle breeze, and her graceful features made him wonder if she was already taken. "I'm James, by the way", he finally said, wondering if he had been staring. Adjusting his bag, he offered his free hand to shake hers. "So, um, I was going to find my room. Do you want me to help you find yours whilst I'm at it? It's no trouble, really...", he added, giving her a warm smile.

Hearing him address her Sayuri turned, giving James a small smile. "Nice to meet you, I'm Sayuri." She replied, taking his hand and shaking it gently. He seemed to be a nice guy, not like any of the other college boys who would typically try to flip a skirt or two before introducing himself. "Um, well, if you don't mind in helping me." She said, letting go of his hand gradually, letting her touch linger for a few moments before releasing his hand and bringing hers to her side. "I guess you can say I am a bit...challenged when it comes to finding my way around places like this." She said, pretending to be a little embarrassed. Bringing a hand to tuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear from her face she looked into his eyes. After a few seconds she looked away, blushing slightly as she pretended to fix something with her luggage. "Thanks."

"It's no problem", James smiled, shifting slightly in his shoes. He reached toward the back of his trousers, his fingers reaching into the pocket. Jerkily, he pulled a folded slip of paper from the awkward position. He unfolded it, and read the message aloud. "Dorm number: 16". He folded it again, looking up to Sayuri. "Do you know your dorm number?", he asked her, beginning to make his way to the dorms. He took a last glance at the sign, hoping he wouldn't become lost with the girl. Going around classes with full bags of luggage wasn't his first idea of fun.

As he went about reaching for the paper she couldn't help but smile. "Um..." Sayuri then looked to her bag, searching through it to find the sheet of paper she had just put away. Finding it she unfolded it. "I have room number seven." She replied, then began to follow him, her bag in hand. Looking around she couldn't help but feel a little intimidated by the many buildings, each with their grand designs and architecture. "So...are you a freshman?" She asked, hoping that he wouldn't be offended by her question.

A purple haired man sighed as he sat up from the bench he was lying down on. Pulling a pair of black sunglasses off he groaned loudly as he rubbed his eyes. “Too bright outside and way to early.” He muttered softly as he swung his legs around placing them onto the ground. Stifling a yawn he slid the sunglasses back down over his eyes and stood up moving towards the dorms. “Classes should be starting soon...” He groaned and rubbed the back of his head.
As he walked towards the dorms his mind began to drift back to the past, to memories of the past. It had been years since he last saw her, after they graduated his parents moved away. They claimed it was because of his fathers job but he knew it wasn’t his dads company wouldn’t transfer him. They couldn’t transfer him. He couldn’t even say goodbye to her, or even tell her where they were going. It killed him that he couldn’t be with her; it killed him that he wasn’t able to see her any longer. “Sayuri, I miss you...” He spoke softly his voice barely above a whisper.
As he kept walking he heard a voice, the soft angelic voice that could only belong to his love, his Sayuri. Shaking his head he looked around and sighed. “N-No, it can’t be her...” He spoke softly as he moved towards the voice. The closer he got the more sure he was that it was truly her. He couldn’t be one hundred percent that it was Sayuri until he got close enough to see her. A smile crossed his lips as he nearly fainted.
Placing his fingers in his mouth Kyil whistled hoping to get her attention. “Hey, Sayuri!” He exclaimed as he dashed towards her taking the stairs two at a time until he stood before her his hands resting upon his knees, huffing and puffing for breath. “Sayuri, wow, it has been...” he managed to say before he fully stood up and ran his hands through his hair. “It’s been forever.” He said as he smiled softly moving his sunglasses from his eyes, placing them into the pocket on his black dress shirt. “How have you been?” He questioned as he looked her up and down. She looked a lot different, but he knew it was still her. He only hoped she remembered him and didn’t hate him.

Sayuri's attention was on James until she heard someone whistle loudly, the sound echoing off the walls as she turned her head to see where it came from. Seeing who it was she stopped mid-stride, her eyes widening at the realization of who it was. It...no... When he stopped in front of her she looked at him over and over again, comparing the man before her to the boy she loved years ago, the one she couldn't get off her mind until recently. "Kyil...?" She asked. It seemed as if time stopped for a moment, and she was unaware of James' presence before returning back to reality. "Um...oh my God..." She said, still surprised.

Rubbing the back of his head Kyil nodded and groaned loudly as started coughing as he closed his eyes. “Y-Yeah, been awhile, so, what you been up to lately?” He asked as he sighed cracking his back as he looked from Sayuri to the young man beside her. “So, if you two want I can show you around. After all, I’ve been here long enough to get to know the place and find a fair amount of places around here.” As he spoke he moved between James and Sayuri, placing his arm across the shoulders of the latter. “So, what is your name friend?” He asked as he glanced at James out of the corner of his eye.
