Hm we are playing Afterburn(Hate this song because it's like Bb, Bb, Bb, Bb for like 14 measures then we play a few notes and it's back to Bb for like 11 measures then we have to do this really really fast thing with our fingers but of course the notes stay the same and we only play the melody once) uh right and um Willows of Winter (cool song, really pretty), and The Curse of Tutankhumun (it's pretty cool because the flutes have a bunch of main parts in this) eep our concert is tomorrow!

My band is going to London over winter break for their new year's stuff(we march in a parade, play in a concert.......site see and party with the other band geeks on New Year's eve razz )
But we recently got our concert music, and our dirrector decided to show our unique American culture by playing these two pieces:
~English Folksongs (contains a meadly of English folksongs)
~I Love My Love (another English folksong)

Well, we're in limbo between Christmas and Spring concerts right now. We played some very boring and unexciting music for X-Mas concert. "Bell Carol a la Big Band", "Christmas Winds", "Yuletide Memory", "Holiday Favorites", and "What Child Is this".

Our band is playing Insignia by Sean O'Laughlin(I think?)!
I have the solos! O_o
We are also playing PIRATES OF THE CARRIEBEAN! (I know I spelt that wrong. Haha)
That is very fun to play, the flutes have a lot of good parts!
Yay! (:

UPDATE! Sorry, my edit isn't working so I'll just start a new message, we are playing this march call St. Julian, our solo is called minuett, forgot what our ensemble was called, we're about to start this new song that I'm about to listen to called Alligator Alley, and we have to practice our stand tunes for an upcoming peprally. The songs are called Soul Bossa Nova, Hey Song, our Fight Song.

For our baskeball band, we have the music for You Can Call Me Al. Problem is, we are not allowed to take the folders out of the band area. Does anyone know of a good site where I can see a copy of the music without purchasing it? It would be really helpful.
Thanks!

Our band is currently working on An Irish Tune, Blue Lake(which is really high and difficult for flutes!), Chorral(Not sure how to spell that...), and I can't remember the other one... but the Concert band is playing Invention number 1 and 2 I think, and a couple other pieces as well.. Lol I can't remember any of them! Sorry! 4laugh

We're playing Gavorkna Fanfare, Of Sailors and Whales (I'm in love with this piece), Engulfed Cathedral, and Tahiti Trot for our next concert.

S&W is pretty awesome, though the 5th movement is going to kick my a** and our band has to sing.

Tahiti Trot is difficult, it's uh... I don't know it kind of clashes with how our band works. We're doing better though.

The other two pieces are fine.
