OWNERS
:: May only have one child at the stage Hope or Purity at any given time unless it is an events child. But no more than 2.
:: Must keep and maintain a journal for their respective child(ren). See Journal post for guidelines.
:: Show up in the shop thread at least once a week when possible. This will count towards your Activity.*
:: Participate in roleplays. These children are not meant to be decorative prizes for hoarding.
:: You may not resell your child. If you wish to give up ownership rights, alert the shop and the shop shall find a new home for the child.
:: If you should wish to give away your child to any specific persons, alert the shop first and make sure the recipient has read and agrees to the shop's rules (this thread).
* Failure to do so may result in the repossession and reselling of your child. See Activity post for details.

ACTIVITY
After you become an owner...
:: Each day you post in the thread will count as one point toward your activity.
:: Each period of 7 days you do not post in the thread will count one point against your activity.
:: If you tell me before hand that you will be unable to log onto Gaia for a certain amount of time, those days will not count against you.
:: If you vanish from the thread and are AWOL for four weeks, you will receive a warning via PM.
:: Unless you are able to excuse yourself with a valid reason*, you may accumulate up to three warnings before the shop takes back ownership rights on your child(ren) for reselling.**
:: If, after three warnings are issued with no response you are seen posting elsewhere on Gaia, the Shop will have to assume you are no longer interested in parenting your lotus child(ren) and will be forced to reclaim ownership of the child(ren) in question.
* What is or is not a valid reason is up to the digression of the shop owner. "I did not feel like logging onto Gaia," is not a valid reason.
** Children bought via RL commissions do not have this ownership restriction.

GROWTH
From Hope to Purity
:: 7 activity points or however long it takes for the next stage to be complete, RP not required.
From Purity to Blossom
:: 30 activity points and 5 role-playing sessions or however more it takes for the child to decide on a gender (consciously or unconsciously; can also stay asexual).
:: Upon reaching the above stated growth requirements, owners may submit a Growth Request.
:: Once approved, it will be added into the artist's (likely) long list of things to do. Owners are encouraged to continue roleplay at the Purity stage in the meantime.
:: Submit growth requests in the Growth Request thread in this forum. If one is worried that it may be overlooked, mention it in the shop thread and include a link to the post in question.
From Blossom to ???
:: A lot of good roleplaying and character development.
:: The shop shall notify the owner via PM if and when this stage is reached. The owner may then choose to accept or decline the growth offer.
:: Activity points listed here are not cumulative, so to reach Blossom owners will need an additional 30 points.
:: Once required activity has been reached, owners must maintain that number until growth is complete before the number resets to count for the required activity of the next stage.

JOURNALS
:: Each owner is required to keep and maintain a journal for each child.
:: The shop will reserve the first post of each journal, the rest is up to the owner.
:: Do not post in any journal without the owner's permission.
:: The journal is meant to track the child's progression through its new life. Please put thought into each journal entry.
:: A journal entry is exactly what it sounds like: what the child has been doing and its thoughts about it.
:: Journal entries do not need to be written in the first person as long as it serves its purpose.

ROLEPLAY
:: Follow the 
:: In other words, be courteous, be patient, be readable, stay in character, and do not, I repeat, do not godmode.
:: Keep things PG13. If you want to do something more explicit, feel free to RP over PMs or whatever other format of your choice and make a PG13 journal entry about it later, but keep the viewable public posts PG13.
:: Try not to exclude people from Open RPs, likewise, don't barge into a Private RP without permission.
Other things to keep in mind:
:: Remember to put Out Of Character comments in brackets ((like so)).
:: Make sure people can clearly differentiate between spoken words, thoughts, and actions.
:: Have fun!
