By this point they were in the heart of the pyramid. Cyclops was bent over trying to catch his breath. He knew he had to get back in shape, but right now wasn't the time to let his limits get him. He got up and winced in pain. He looked over to his left shoulder where his costume had been ripped and some of his flesh sliced from Gambit's 52 card pick up attack.

"Great."

He couldn't let that stop him now. What was the zombie killing count?! He had forgotten, but the computer was keeping score. He looked around and wondered what are this was. He stepped around and accidently stepped on a trap.

"NO!"

Cyclops jumped out of the way as guilotines came from the top and made obsticles in his way. One of the trap cut a small portion of his back and he yelled in pain.

"This is the last time I choose this place."

He knew he was lying. It was a great training area, just ment for team training not singles one on one. He blasted the blade out of anger and got up. He wiped some of the blood off and exhaled. He had to finish this.

He kicked the mummy off of his staff in time to see a flash of red strike him right in the chest. With a loud grunt he was sent flying back as the roof continued to fall down. There was the sound of another explosion and Flash of red. When Gambit turned to have a look the place was empty. He bet it was Scott getting the heck out of there.

"Maybe Ah should play da same 'and..." He looked to the end of the hallway where the target should be. "Den agian, variety makes life fun." He slowly got to his feet holding his chest. Man that blast had hurt. He slowly started his way gaining speed little by little. Soon he was running and the celing was coming down fast. He soon had to run slightly bent over. He was so close, it would save so much time if he made it. He then jumped and rolled and prayed that lady luck was still on his side. There was a loud SLAM and he oppned hsi eyes. Just behind him the large room had been shut by the roof behind him. He looked around and saw a stairway leading down, another leading up. He hopped Up was right otherwise scott would win anway. Brushing the dust off and wishing he had his coat, he made his way up the stairs.

Noticed that he was occupied he took his shot and looked for a hit. Time was against him and he looked to a weak floor spot. He blasted it and took it. Gambit was cleaver, He could take his own way. Cyclops ran and rolled into the hole.

Out came the staff as Gambit took care of a few mummy stragglers that somehow had escaped the blast. He ducked a swipe from the first one and brought his staff up sharp under the jaw, his staff going up through its head. with no time to pull it out, Gambit used the body of the mummy as a ramming sheild as he flung himself at the other casuing the tree of them to fall down. He pulled his staff out and stuck it in the head of the other. He hated undead.

He looked around at the destruction quite happy with himself. A few piecies of rubble fell on his shoulders. He looked up to see the place starting to shrink a little. He looked down at his feet. Sure enough, he had steepd on a trap.

"Crazy mummies don set off trap, but da Cajun does. Is dere no justice?" As he was about to travel down further to get the treasure he heard a noise and turned around to see a flying mummy, he speared it with his staff by accident and held it in front of him for a few seconds blocking his view of scott. Where did this random mummy come from?

His eyes widened from the cards falling down upon him in horror. He tried to blast a few, but Cyclops knew that his wasn't going to work. As they came down he grabbed the corpse of a dead mummy and used it as a meat shield. He protected him a little, but the over all blast from the cards sent him back to the wall behind him. "Cute, Remy. Now try this." Cyclops takes the corpse in his hands and starts to spin. He releases the corpse and it hurls toward the cocky cajun.

"Try that one." He thought to himself. His hand slowly moved to his visor to take aim at Gambit once he focus was on the body coming toward him. Cyclops heard movement and sand coming from above. He raised his eye brow. The room was getting smaller. He had only time for one shot. He retook aim.

Scott started talking... he turned around and watched as Cyclops turned his attention back on Gambit.

"Sacré Merde!!!" Hjumped from off the wal into a pile of mumies breaing some of them as he landed, finishing off the rest with his staff.

"Dat was a dirty move Summahs. Heh, didn' tink chu 'ad it in ya." He grinned widely as he pulled out a fresh deck of cards and opened up the box grabbing all the cards. "Ah wasn' gunna do dis, but chu left me no choice mosiour." He sharged them all and began to shiffle them, eventually spraying htem all around the room. "Time for a lil' fifty two card pick up. Do keep up now Summahs." He had practicly coverd the room with cards, he pulled his coat over his face to cover it fromt he resulting blasts. Lets see Summers get out of this one, he probably would, he was resourcefull.

Cyclops smirked. "Fine.. Computer start the counter. Let's take a side mission on destroyed zombies."

He took a run toward the wall and got enough speed to pounce off it at Gambit. He touched the side of his visor and took aim.

"Despite the dangers we are still against each other Swamp boy!"

He pushed the nob letting out a burst of energy toward his friend trying to knock him to the ground.

There were only a couple of zombies that he took care of fast with his bo staff. Rather dissapointing. Though as he walked further ahead He managed to find a way to crawl up onto a thin ledge. As he did so he could hear the soudns of battle. And soon, flying robotic chucnks from the robots in the dange room, were in the air. And not long after that, he found scoot on the ground getting swarmed. Gambit charged a card and tossed to towards Scoot, blowing up several mumies closley grouped together giving Scott just enough time to look up, see Gambit wave at him, then defend himself agian.

"Look wat 'aooens when chu cheat Summahs. Chu end up eatin bad karma, non?" He chuckled as she shimmied his way across the wall nicely out of reach of the mummies. He liked the new head start he had.

He wasn't about to give up.

"Let's go! Gambit can wait!"

Refusing to stand around like a scared child in time of danger. Cyclops took a defensive stance putting one hand on visor and his body in front of back wall to keep him from harms way, giving him cover to complete his mission....survival. He kept his index finger on a small button that controlled the sensitivity of how much kinetic energy is released into an optic blast. Like a calm rifle man he take's aim at a target and he fires without much hesitation, releasing a thick beam of red from his eyes. He took aim at the head of the mummies, keeping his aim mostly around the right side of the attack, allowing a unprotected door if he needed to escape to take the left. He shoots in angles that would launch the mummies into the spikes, taking out two birds with one stone, if successful.

"They just keep coming!"

He takes his left exit as he goes under the door it comes crashing down.

"s**t.."

What session was this? It had a famillier flair to it. Wasn't Apoc's place. He would of been knee high in brainwashed mutants. As he was thinking he herd the sound of something click. He looked down as his boot slowly pressed in on a symbol of a man being peirced with flying objects. Instictively he hit the ground as a wave of arrows shot just over his outstreatched for ont he ground.

"Remind meh ta wear arrow proof armor next time we do dis lil' session next time Summah's" He mumbled under his breath. He got up and dust himself off. The heat wasn;t too bad. It was a dry heat, unlike the summers down in New Orleans. The only problem was that now the whole place radieated heat like an oven. We wiped off a bead of sweat and kept going on.

A few sprung traps and blown up walls gambit finally came to a pit with spikes, there was a little yellow chip from what appeard to be plastic. Probably from Scott's visor. The man was ahead of him, but by how much? He hopped not too much, he had heard the rocks fall not too long ago. He gaded the distance of the gap and took a running start using his pole to vualt him over. he landed with a role and his staff flew foreward and down. Since it was where he was going anyway gambit took time for a break wiping of a lil' more sweat.

"Next time, ah'm bringing a water bottle, no exceptions."

After a few seconds he got up and walked forward to find his staff. He mentally kept track of how he got down here for ten run back up. If he remembered correctly they were both after an object, and then the place would collapse around them. OF course he could be wrong.

His thinking was cut short by moaning ahead. He smiled and pulled out his cards and reached for his staff he found. Finally, unfront fighting. He could deal with that.

The heat would show the two mutants what they had in them. Scott had entered the first pyramid. Scorpions and spiders walked throughout the place. One wrong step in these would end the game for them and declare the other the winner. Scott tried to step carefully. Like mentioned before, he knew the training steps, but he could remember the-

Scott fell, but he had caught himself on the ledge. Below him were sharp spikes hat could easily make anything that landed on them... well holy. Scott cursed to himself for making a careless mistake, but got a grip and began to pull himself up. Once he was out he wiped his brow. "Gotta be more careful."

He knew by this time Gambit had to be looking for him. He wondered to himself what the cajin was thinking when he found out which Danger Room mission he had chosen. "Hope you can take the heat, swamp boy." He moved some vines and began his decent into the lower chambers.

The smells of the old tomb made Cyclops make a face. He knew he was getting closer to the center. He had remembered something about this part, but he couldn't put his finger on it. He heard the soft moans coming from the east. Was it Gambit trying to trick him? Or was it? No.. it couldn't be. Scott face palmed. "Mummies.."

"Ohhhh, Sorry dere Logan, Full house beats yer flush." Gambit chuckled as he raked in the winnings. "Eventually, one of you mooks is gonna realize not ta play poker wit' me--'cause my hand will always win th' pot!" He had a wide smirk across his face as he looked at the people sitting at the table. He grabbed the cards and shuffled with unneeded flair, clearly showing up and enjoying his win.

"Maybe we should play "Go Fish' a game more ta yer likin'?" Grinning even wider as Logan brought his hands up and with a snikt, brought out his claws.

"Better watch it Cajun, I hear you bleed reeeaaal good."

"Only when caught Wolvie."

Before a brawl could take place, probably much to the dismay of fist year studants making bets, an intercome sent a voice into the main room.

"Hey Remy, if you can hear me. Let's go.."

Gambit began to take all the cards and shuffle them together. "Sorry dere Logan, per'aps anotha' time. Rite now ah gots meh a Danger Room date wit Summah's." Giveing Logan one last wink after collecting all the winnings and cards he walked away. He found the elivator and took it down. He didn't know why his choice of music was denied to play in the elivator. It would of made things funner if he could sing along.

Once the elivator opened he took the windy hallways under the school to go and find the danger room. "dey need one of dose maps like at da mall. Sumtimes its 'ard ta remember where to go." Though this time he did and he found the danger room, typing in the sequence of numbers opening the room. As soon as he did a blast of Heat hit him like a wave of force.

"Shoulda tole' meh we was goin' sumplace hot fer our date." He took off his coat and wrapped it up before dropping it in the sand. If he left it there, his winnings should be alright. He looked back at the pyramid and smiled. Both good and bad memories came to him and he began the walk to the entrance. He wondered what Scott was up to anyway.

Cyclops began to walk through the x-mansion. He grew bored waiting for the villains to strike. He rubbed his chin and remembered that Gambit it wanted to spar with him to make sure that they were ready for the missions ahead. Scott walks to his room and gets his uniform on and smirks. "This will be fun."
Scott walks out to the hall and looks at Jean's door wondering if she would speak to him, but he looked forward and kept walking.

He made it to the steps and slide down the side. Despite some things in his personal life, Scott was in a good mood. He pushed the button for the elevator and waited to go to the sub basement. The doors opened and he began to step in. A few of the kids ran by with books and worried looks on their faces. The doors closed as he pushed the button to the bottom floor.

The doors opened and Scott walked out. He looked around to see if anything was going on. Not a peep was heard. He walked into the Danger Room control room and began to look through the sessions. "Hmmm. Savage land.. Space.. Genosha.." He wanted something challenging to the both of them. He smirked. "Pyramid." He started to put the simulation code in. This was a level 6 danger room challenge. Scott had used it for the original X-men team, but put it away for awhile when the newer models came in.

"Call me old fashion." He said to himself with a smirk. He pushed the intercom button. "Hey Remy, if you can hear me. Let's go.." The Danger Room had finished loading the training modules. Scott walked out and began to enter in the Danger Room. The heat instantly hit him as we walked in. "Wrong outfit." He begins to walk through the sand to the pyramid. He had a half smirk when he remembered that he forgot the dangers inside. "Maybe it won't be too bad. Let's see what you got Cajun."
