As you've probably noticed if you're an old member, we're making some changes. N00b spam threads have been deleted, outdated stickies/announcements have been locked and unstickied, and we have a new Crew member; KaidAmaz/Belbe. We're hoping to get some feedback on some matters, and since the old news thread used to go ignored, I'm changing the format. I will make new news posts here, instead of editing the first post.

And now, on to the truly magical FAQ section of the update...

-What happened to the tournament? I want to fight !

The tournament has been put on hold for a little while... or maybe we'll just cancel it, to be honest. A lack of initiative means that in order to get you to fight, I have to run all around Gaia trying to find you all. It's like herding squirrels. Also, a few of the participants died (such as Sylvr and Mairethil, though both are alive again) and others seem to have simply left Gaia (such as Raven Cecht or Omarik Sei). I'm considering picking up the tournament, but changing the format from two on two to one on one... it's a lot easier to do, and a lot less hectic. Once I get word from the tournament-fighters who are left, I'll decide whether or not to go along with this. Remember, I need input...

-This guild is BORING! It's so quiet!

For a guild with over 200 members, yes, it is rather quiet. That's partly because a good many of you don't really try to be here... because it's boring. It's a vicious cycle. On that note, if you are one of our regular members, I have nothing but love for you. ^_^ whee

-Why do you call it a school, anyway? You don't have any classes.

Actually, my original plan for the guild had myself teaching many students all of the techniques and fighting styles I have bottled up inside my head... but I quickly learned that while it sounded great on paper, in practice it just didn't work. A class takes a rather long period of time to carry out, and most people can't stay online for the entire thing. Also, with conflicting schedules, differing time-zones, and people who just don't care, it's almost impossible to organize even two people to be online at the same time as you are, much less an entire class. And the honest truth is, I am a very busy person. I have a real life to worry about, and I have a lot to do even when I'm on Gaia... between challenges for battle, being obligated to save the butts of all of my friends whenever they get into trouble (which is all the time), and trying to juggle multiple characters, I have almost no time left. Forgive me if at times I seem unattentive.

-hey, can i hav sum gold? lol xd domokun

No. I will not give you gold, I will not sell you my scarf, I will not sell you my Devil Tail. I wont sell you anything I'm wearing. Ever. Period. Doing this is a foolproof way to make the hate list.

In contrast, if I offer you gold, don't worry... you're not on my hate list. ^_^' I offer to donate gold when I want to donate. 3nodding

-If your guild members never come, why don't you quit whining and ban them?

Because I'm a Very Nice Guy. The honest truth is, I will accept just about any join request, no matter what. I just do. This does not mean that it's a good idea to write a really retarded join request. I'll accept everyone, but I know good writing when I see it, and I like good writing.

-Where's the ramen?!?!?!?/1/1/1

It's in Sakakichan's Kitchen or at the Ramen Noodle Bar. sweatdrop Help yourself.

Important Update!

The Training Room has phased out! It no longer exists. Yes, it's literally disappeared. The school's structure will be fine; it's built to stay together no matter what. Still, make no mistake about it: You cannot enter the training room!

We'll try to build a new one as soon as possible. ^_^''

Ok so since the training room is currently out of commision I will provide the following link for all who are interested:

http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5759094&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

This thread was created outside the guild mainly for recruiting purposes but we basically just do sparring there and sometimes attract passersby so feel free to take your training/sparring here for the time being. If you have any questions please contact either myself or Lily 3nodding

Malabrar has reopened after a few months of inactivity. The golem project that was being worked on a few months ago has also been restarted. If anybody wants information about this continuing golem project, contact either Kamahl Oboroten or myself via PM or when we are within the guild.

With rumors of upcoming war between various guilds, I'm going to address the matters of each of these guilds, one by one. First of all, the guilds in question here are:

The Demon Hunter Masters Guild (Dirk Graves)
The Army of the Damned (Xenos the Hell Demon)
The Empire of the Forsaken (Draximas Alpha)
The Order of the Underworld (Alasdair)
The Black Company (9-Lives)
(and, of course) The Ramen Noodle School of Martial Arts (Orb!)

The Demon Hunter Masters

The DHM has one mission: The complete, unconditional destruction of the demon race. Yes, that means good demons as well. Dirk does not believe there is such a thing as a good demon. Do I agree with the policies of the DHM? No. Frankly, it's a fairly black-and-white-minded concept. Under no conditions are you under permission to go to the DHM to try and convince Dirk that he's wrong. It won't work. Trust me. The DHM wants to destroy the Order of the Underworld, the Army of the Damned, the Black Company, and countless demon guilds off of the GGN. They are allied with the Empire of the Forsaken.

The Army of the Damned

The Army of the Damned is the guild where most of us old roleplayers either started, or once fought in the War of the Hunters. The leader, Xenos, doesn't really seem to have any ambitions other than the destruction of the Demon Hunter Masters Guild. They're currently under review and may become a sub-guild of the Order of the Underworld.

The Empire of the Forsaken

The Empire of the Forsaken is an ally of the Demon Hunter Masters Guild. They're a tad nationalistic. Essentially, they're a group of individuals who have all been abandoned or cast out, and have banded together to form a power bent on changing the world to be more accepting, or whatever. In other words, the perfect allies for a guild bent on nothing short of genocide of an entire race. That's called sarcasm. We are on a decidedly neutral stance with them, and I'm sure you can tell from this thoroughly objective description how fond of them I am. That's more sarcasm.

The Order of the Underworld

They're our allies. They are ruled by Alasdair (or Relinth Thares, it's hard to tell these days) and are made up of an eclectic collection of demons, humans, angels, and many more. The Order of the Underworld works for an upholding of the concept of honor over 'right' or 'wrong'. They are, for us, good guys... but they're also a bit of a pain in the neck, since they are constantly spawning new enemies. Currently, they are a planned target of the DHM.

The Black Company

We have rather limited information on the Black Company. Led by a woman named 9-Lives, the Black Company seems to be one of those rare, special guilds which no one likes. They are a target of the DHM, but I doubt we're going to end up defending them. Time will tell.

The Ramen Noodle School of Martial Arts

Our actions depend on many things. For one thing, we are a traditionally neutral guild, but we also are traditionally very close allies of the Order. So if the DHM attacks the Order, we will come to their aid. However, we will be fighting a defensive war. We will protect allies under siege, but we will not be bringing the fight to the hunters, nor to our own school. This is not a place of war. However, there should be a note. There are demon guilds, within the forums of Gaia (Free For All Forum, for example) that are also being targeted by the DHM. A vast majority of these guilds are not like the Order; the demons who make those guilds their homes are typically more of the evil persuasion. When the DHM attacks those places, I, personally, may assist him depending on the guild. Whether or not I do so will be decided on a case by case basis. This is not something the entire school will be doing, just me. Like I said, this does not mean I'm an enemy of the Order, just that I am an enemy of evil demon guilds.

So are we going to war? In a word: maybe. Be on guard and prepare to protect our allied guilds from attack. I encourage all of you to research and prepared defensive systems. In particular, I want everyone with mechanical or technical experience to head to either:

-Malabrar (If your expertise lies in smithing, or construction of raw basic parts such as the frame of a golem.)

-The EKASS Control Room (If your expertise lies in construction of small devices such as power crystals, memory crystals, processors, etc.)

-Precis' Workshop (If your expertise lies on construction, from parts, of robots, golems, or other mechanical whatsits, as well as the design of any such automaton.)

Also, it should be noted that the guild has been rather quiet. For those of you who are new to the school, don't worry. We're not dead, we're always like that. sweatdrop I encourage all of you to help each other out. Sparring with each other is an excellent way to train, both as a character and as a roleplayer. The official Training Room of the guild is currently missing, as it was pulled into another dimension in the course of my battle with Saquain. sweatdrop Until we construct a new training room, we'll be using Tenchi Nawagata's Katana Training Dojo. If you want to spar, go there to do it.

Oh... and have a lovely Valentine's Day! ^_^'
