within about 12 days of taking office was when he was nominated to win the Nobel Peace Prize. I though i kept up pretty well with the news but what happen in those couple weeks that was so important other than just that one Cairo speech. Mabey in a few years and with results he should get one but not two weeks within his presidency. after this and Al Gore winning im begining to question the group that decides these things. at least he is giving the money to charity so it goes to a good use.

I believe Al Gore deserved his, but otherwise I agree. Obama hasn't done anything yet to deserve a peace prize. Maybe after his presidency, but not at the start.

Al Gore is a guy who flys on a private jet from his EXTREMLY energy wastefull home that wastes 20X more energy than the average home to goe and sell tickets to listen to him preach to other on global warming. the guy is a hipocrite.

-claps- way to use old information. You do realize he upgraded his home since that came out, right? And what famous person doesn't fly on a private jet, even if they care about the environment their security detail would have a s**t fit about it.

So he might have updated some things around his luxurious, power-eating mansion? Big whoop. Gore getting a Nobel peace prize was a joke and his global warming shtick is scare tactics that worry the sheep electorate and help government gain control of private business. Carter, Gore and Obama were awarded this prize for not being Bush. Any American leader who weakens US stance is deemed good by foreigners.

How long after that information came out did it take Gore to "update" his house? I guarantee you that if that information never came out, then he would still be living like that. The only reason he "updated" his house was because people were aware of the hypocrisy going on (and any smart person still is).

Actually the updates were already planned and if I'm not mistaken, he now consumes the same as an average house if not less.

Obama does not deserve a Nobel
Al Gore Sucks, because religious adherence to global warming doctrine gives a bad reputation to other environmental causes that are more immediate and important. I mean, shoot, Im so liberal Im practically a commie and I think global warming is BS
BTW: Obama does not think he deserves the award.
