As all of us recall GOF and the wonderful entertainment provided to us by The Weird Sisters containing Jarvis Cocker, Phil Selway, Jonny Greenwood, Steve Claydon, Jason Buckle and Steve Mackey... the soothing sounds of tracks like 'Do the Hippogriff', Magic Works, and This is the Night have warmed many hearts and made us yearn for more... Now for the kicker. Jarvis wanted to make a CD with the Weird Sisters as he was quite proud of the songs they had written... J.K. Rowling had a different view. She put a kiabosh to the CD idea as apparently it would 'confuse the children.' Bollocks to it I say! I want a Weird Sisters CD! They were bloody awesome... now I would like to hear comments on whether or not we should all bombard J.K. with mail to get her to change her answer...

Now to send a letter to JKR complaining about that after everything else she's done for us would be selfish. It's her choice.

I think they should release a CD, i'm not sure how it would confuse the kids, I know plenty of kids who listen to more hardcore music than the weired sisters.

Definitely those boys should release an album together....even if it's not AS the WS....especially after all the imbecilic Canadian confusion with the band name...

I don't know that JK is unaware of the fact that kids listen to more hardcore stuff...she just doens't want her name assosiated with it because she gets a bad enough rap as it is.
