If I could have any broom, it would be a Nimbus 2001. I'd want it because it is a fast broom, but not to fast to have me practically flying off it. If I'm on a broom that goes super fast and I loosen my grip for half a second, a major fast broom would just slip out of my hands and I'd plummet to the earth. So a Firebolt is definitely out of the picture, seeing as it is the fastest broom ever made, as far as the series tells us. I also don't want a broom that's too slow. Quidditch is really cool so I'd never want to earn the title of 'The Slowest Seeker the World Has Ever Seen'. Yes it is true that the Nimbus 2001 is faster than the earlier edition, yet quite a bit slower than the Firebolt. That just means I'll have a harder time falling off from a huge burst of speed I am sure would take a while to get used to. My last reason for the Nimbus 2001, it looks bloody brilliant. Have you seen the picture? It looks like it's made of freaking metal! It doesn't look like some broom "muggles" use to sweep their houses with, or a polished wooden broom that belongs in a darned museum instead of getting beat up by quaffles and bludgers. Those were my bloody brilliant reasons for choosing a Nimbus 2001 over all the other brooms in the world.

If I could have any broom in the world, I'd have a Firebolt. I like speed, for one thing, and the Firebolt is the fastest broom ever made according to the series. The fact that it looks much like a broom muggles use to sweep their floors makes it blend in a little more if a muggle were to see. It doesn't look like it belongs in a freaking museum, so it won't matter if it gets beat up by bludgers. It doesn't seem like it is made of metal or anything like that, so I don't have to give it extra TLC. Nimbus brooms look slow compared to the Firebolt, and they all look like they belong in a darn museum of the coolest looking brooms instead of a Quidditch field. So here are the reasons again: speed, disguise, and awesomeness.
