I got it because I kept seeing adds for Haruhi pop up. I think when I saw a super smash bros. brawl version of the ending on youtube I just broke down and said I need to know what the hype is about. So I googled it. I learned on Wikipedia that Haruhi is an award winning series. Giving this fact I knew it had to be higly reccomended to win an arard so I just decided to get it off amazon.
After watching it I do not regret getting it and I really didn't feel strange about getting it at all.
I only felt wierd as you put it or I should say surprised and embarrassed by Haruhi's antics at the beginning. I think that is why I identify with Kyon so much as he was reacting a lot the way I would. Especially when Haruhi stole that computer from the computer geek club. That was classic and made me turn 50 shades red just watching it the first time. However, once I found out what Haruhi was up to, I could not help but think that it was surprisingly clever.
When she started pushing the club president on Mikuru I was thinking the same thing as the president. what they heck is she doing?
