-Lesson 1: Boggarts- Due November 10th You walk into the room and see the teacher waiting for you. She says, "I'm glad you finally got here. First let's take some notes." With a flick of her wand words start appearing on the blackboard. Boggart - a shape-shifting creature that takes the form of what it believes is the viewer's worst fear
A boggart is fond of inhabiting dark places such as wardrobes, cupboards under sinks and desks, and the gap beneath beds. if you ever end up facing a boggart, it is best to have a friend along to try and confuse it to where it doesn't know which form to take. Because of a boggart's shape-shifting ability, no one knows what a boggart looks like when it is alone. The incantation to combat a boggart is Riddikulus. To cast the spell you not only need to use the incantation and wand movement but also concentrate on something to make the boggart seem amusing. The charm does not defeat or repel a boggart but forces it to assume a shape the caster will find amusing which will defeat the boggart.The teacher turns back to the class and says, "Now does everyone have that written down? Good. Today we will actually face a boggart that I had found crammed in one of Filch's filing cabinets. I have shut it inside that wardrobe over there until we are all ready for it. Now say 'Riddikulus'." There are a few mumbles from the class saying Riddikulus. "No no no. That won't do. Say it with more... more... more feeling. Riddikulus!" The class practically echoes what she had said. "Good. That is the incantation you should have written down in your notes. I remember one child who went to Hogwarts during Harry Potter's time. He was afraid of someone named Severus Snape. When he cast the charm, he was picturing Snape in his grandmother's clothing. You need to imagine the boggart looking quite silly or amusing to you when you cast the spell. Now is everyone ready?" Everyone in the class replies with a yes. The teacher opens the wardrobe door, releasing the boggart. Also, if you can, post in your house color:
Hufflepuff: black or orange
Ravenclaw: blue or bronze
Gryffindor: red will do; it is hard to see gold
Slytherin: green or silver/gray

Here is what you will do: Step 1: Type your fear (so what the boggart turns into) Step 2: Cast " Riddikulus" at the boggart (dice roll 10 by 5) Step 3: Click 'submit' and check what you rolled Step 4: Edit your post according to what had happened (so if you cast for example a 10, it didn't cast and the boggart is still there to where meree has to use her mighty heroics and rescue the class from it. Candide walks up to the Cabinet like he owns the world. "I don't fear anything he said" as the boggart turns into a giant Scorpion. "ohh yeah, except freaking gaint scorpions!". After a slight hesitation Candide yells "Riddikulus!" in a battle cry style! The stinger turned into a plunger and the claws into rolls of toilet paper, but it was still gaint and fairly scary looking. "I apperently have a wierd sence of humor" said Candide as he returned to his seat not fully satisfied with his average performance.

Randy stepped up to the boggart and pulled out his want. "Nothing to fear but fear itself," He said as the boggart turned into a copper head snake. Randy froze for a second. "Well.... uh... Riddikulus." he said not able to find any other words.
~Edit~
The spell worked and the copper head snake turned into the bending tracks of a muggle roller coaster. "one thing I love about muggles." Randy said.

Kurt watched both Candide and Randy as they practiced the spell. Kurt than got up and walked towards the boggart. It turned into a Huge spider and kurt went pale, "Hate spiders." he said as he rose his wand. "Riddikulus." Each of the spiders legs turned into a different piece of candy and the body turned into an old doll. Kurt shock his head. "Only just." he said refuring to how badly he did.

Zak walked up still a little angry about his table and pulled out his wand. He faced the wardobe and imagened his greatest fear. He was once told a story about Severious snape by his great uncle and was scared since so guess who came out. "Really?" Zak said as he looked. "Riddikulus" Zak barely managed to pull it off but it worked and Snapes head turned into a couldren his legs into gummy worms and his body into a pyrimad of toilet paper.

Sam walked up to the boggart, his fear was rather stupid so he hopped no one was looking. The boggart shape shipped into a exam paper with a big fat F on it. "NO!!! Riddikulus" The paper folded itself into a bird with wings that had A's on them. "Much better." he said even though his profromance stunk. *So Randy has done the best so far, luckly the glory stays with Ravenclaw for now.* thought Sam.

Nikki stayed seated for a moment and took a deep breath. He stepped up and the boggart shape shifted into a HUGE snake. "Ok, be brave deep breath, Riddikulus." The snake turned into a a gummy worm. "That was pathetic." he muttered to himself and sat back down.

Adam walked up to the boggart, "What i fear the most. i don't really know what i fear. I guess I'll find out now." He muttered. Sure enough the boggart turned into a werewolf. "I suppose that's rational Riddikulus." The werewolf turned into a big blue house cat with fangs bigger than it's body. Adam put his wand away, "Well looks like I'm not best in the class." he said glaring at Randy, his glare than turned to a smile, however.

Mick walked up and faced the bogart. "My deepest fear." he muttered as the boggart turned into Randy. "Apperently my deepest fear is competition." he smirked. "Riddikulus." Randy turned into a clown. "Sorry dude. Your still on top though." he laughed.

Duff stepped up next. "Very funny Mick." he laughed "My deepest fear, is..." He didn't finish as the boggart turned into a huge cave troll. "how about a dipper," He said. "Riddikulus" The troll turned into a huge baby with a dipper. "Average and not the best." Duff shook his head and sat back down.

Brian stepped up, *So the class is mostly Ravenclaw* he thought, he was a little distracted. He turned to face to boggart which shape shifted into his mother. "Riddikulus." The spell worked but very weirdly. It started melting. "Ugh... I did terrible." he said as he put his head down and went back to his seat.

Jayson was still taking notes on the lesson when his turn came. He stood up and looked around. "My worst fear is." the boggart took the form of A-rod holding the MVP award. "NO!!! Riddikulus." Nothing happened. Jayson sits there scratching his head. "Uh...." he thought now that he embarrased himself in front of the entire class.
