The book title alone interested me as I'm a supernatural Vampire fan (except those that sparkle, ^^; ) and I like P&P enough to give it a try. It's a nice pick up from right where P&P left off and it's been an enjoyable read so far.
I have set it aside as I'm right in the middle of it and really couldn't figure out why I did, now to only realize that Lizzy's character is rather flimsy in this book. She was witty and clever and able to tease Darcy into submission at times in P&P, but in this I realized she just seems to have kind of dulled out since her marriage to him in this book. Nevertheless I'll finish it as it still interests me, and it does have it's bits of humor, but I was wondering what you guys think? Anyone read it and enjoyed it or rather didn't think it was worth the buy or read?

I just read P&P (pride and prejudice) as postage & packaging. I buy WAY too much online, haha sweatdrop
Anyway, I saw this book when it came out, and have had to try REALLY hard not to buy it, as you already know Rune. I've got it down on my little Christmas list, so I shall be reading it over the festive season. Gives me enough time to finish the other books that I have bought recently and not read xp
How far in are you at the moment??

Lol, well I hope you get it for Christmas and enjoy it. I'm right at the part when they've crossed the Alps. Haha, I won't say too much. I had to go grab it to make sure as it was back on my shelf XD

Grange retells Pride & Prejudice from Darcy's point of view basically. Though it has a lot of the same things from P&P, it has new scenes that Granger made up and Elizabeth, according to review, is present a lot more in this, than in P&P. Though I imagine that's due to it being from Darcy's point of view. ^^

I finally finished this and am sad to say I was disappointed in the ending. You know it's bad when you say outloud without realizing it "Well isn't that convenient" until later down the road.
the ending was rushed and truth be told i was expecting his secret to come out sooner rather than 32 pages from the end. i mean really now. All that build up just fell through like a poorly concealed trap over a pit. And how Lady Catherine so suddenly and easily accepted Lizzy, literally in the snap of a finger. I mean if you had blinked you'd have missed it!
It's fine for an piece of fiction, but not a supernatural fiction piece. Yes it was nice she didn't make a large deal about Darcy's vampirism, but it doesn't make the ending any more favorable to me. I found Lestat's ramblings about his imagined saintly hood more interesting in Blood Canticle and that's saying something.

I haven't read it, but I saw it in the shops the other day for the first time and it made me wince. My first impression that it was a complete capitalistic money-grabbing enterprise, only written because someone had sat down, looked at the money Twilight took, looked at the money Pride & Prejudice & Zombies made, and did the math. I could be completely wrong of course, but it just seems like such a perfect capitalisation on other well-selling books at the moment that I can't help but think that. <_<

However, Mr Darcy, Vampyre is an entirely new work .. by someone called Amanda something or other I believe (I can't remember her name and I can't be bothered to look it up, I'm on my boyfriend's Mac and I can't work this thing properly for the life of me). But yes, I've had my say on that.
