(This might've been discussed a lot more earlier, but what the heck) I'm a big fan of the hulk and all, but I know when he's not been good on tha' big screen. In the first hulk, they had him fight giant poodles- what tha' frick, he encountered his Father (Which he doesn't really does he) and revealed his origin far too soon, let to so little success.
In the second remake which met with average reviews, but not tha' best luck. The chase scenes weren't as satisfying I found and I found Emil Blonsky that flawed and disliked his motivations especially for becoming Abomination (Although being stomped in the face just like that was funny xd ) and I disliked how General Ross' motivation for going after the Hulk was so he could be used as a weapon, I preferred it when he just hated the Hulk and Banner and wanted him blown to atoms. Although it didn't make up a lot for the special effects in the hulk v the army, the romance between the Hulk/Banner and Betty was interesting and the climatic battle between Abomination and Hulk was pure awesome and probably my favourite climatic battle.
Though I'm ticked off that its being pushed till 2012 (I'll feel so old by then!) because the makers were unconfident and thought it would stand a better chance if the Avengers came out first. I feel that'll ruin the atmosphere and confuse the storyline a bit if Hulk was in a professional superhero team, especially when I'm eager to see my Hulk's favourite nemesis 'The leader'. But I'm not sure if they'll be able to think of something good for Hulk in his squeal, face it I think Hulk going up against Abomination in live-action is as good as it gets (Unless you put in Wolverine instead, but Wolverine would steal all the attention in that). Like I doubt the Leader's rubbermen will look as cool as they would've back in the 60s (Face it saying rubbermen just makes you want to laugh at 'em).
Also this is just something I'm putting into the same topic, but I've never read this far in the hulk, but I know Betty was killed off in the Hulk and it did leave to one thing to another and caused an upset for one of the writers to quit. In all elements concerned, does anyone think it was worth it or a good move to do that?

Actually, Bruce does meet his father(though his name was Brian, not David; and he never becomes the Absorbing Man, that's Carl Creel). But a lot of Bruce's origin story in Ang Lee's version was true to the original storyline. But I do agree that the encounter with his father and the origin revelation came entirely too soon.
But The Incredible Hulk was definitely the better movie(and, dare I say it, one of the better Marvel movies), even though it doesn't stay completely true to its roots.
As for your other points though, I can't really comment. Aside from Planet Hulk and World War Hulk(and his few appearances in Dark Reign), I honestly haven't been keeping up with the Hulk.

I liked the new Hulk movie and agree on several points on the 2003 movie by both of you but I believe the way forward now is to take what they teased in the Incredible Hulk with the Leader, unlike most people I do like the Leader and I would like to see Rhino appear in the next movie too as he is a good match against the Hulka nd I would love to see a live action version of Rhino (hopefully not too badly corrupted to look or be nothing like the comics)
Other characters I would like to see are The Absorbing Man (yes the true one not the one they had in 2003) another interesting option and maybe an obvious one would be Iron man in the Hulkbuster outfit but you would need some villain in the movie because the studio will more than likely have them team up at the end.
I know that I had discused more about this before but my mind is drawing a blank now so...
ROLL ON PLANET HULK!
Sorry but I loved the trailer on MUA2

There is a Gladiator game on this site. I always wondered why they are called Gladiators...and not Madiators. I'd be mad if I had to fight the Hulk again...

The Planet Hulk movie was meh. It really wasn't what I was expecting and was below expectations. They didn't feature a character that they should have so if they made a Planet Skaar it would be missing a huge piece unless they added him some how. They also didn't have the Brood which she was also a big part of but who knows.

I think that is the first movie of many animated Planet Hulk series. World War Hulk so they might squeeze her in.

ok the 2003 movie was rubbish but i thought the 2008 film was actully pretty good but due to the one before it got a bad wrap.
The last i heard Edward Norton was talking about returning to his role as the hulk to play the bad guy in the averages movie. So in other words the hulk goes nuts and the averages have to stop him just like the comics.
In the iron man 2 movie tony stark is watching a t.v and the footage is of the hulk (200 cool on a rampage so the idea is that iron man 2 takes place at the same time as hulk (200 cool its an attempt to tie it all together and drum up some talk about the averages
