Kneading her claws into the branch of the tree she was sitting in, Dahliefaliea let her head sway ever so casually to the beat of the boombox that was bumping and thumping at the base of the tree. Left there while the humans who owned it went to play, she sought this chance to get closer to one of the strange human things she found intriguing.
Music.
She loved music! She often found herself dancing to an unheard beat inside her head as she trotted down the street - swaying her tail to entice all the boy cats, but never really falling for any. She just wanted to dance. To move. To feel the beat tap-tap-tapping through her veins. Sure, others thought she was weird, but she didn't care. She liked it. And the faster the tempo got, the more noticeable her dancing became. A loud purr erupted from her throat, matching the rhythmic beats of the tune. She was unaware of anyone around her....or watching her for that matter.

~insert pic here~
Ratch had been busy making himself a hammock out of tree branches when the loud thumping noise had started. It was horrible! He could practically feel the tree he was in, shaking from the vibrations of the awful racket. Looking out over the tree branch he was clinging to, Ratch could see the dreadful noisy object at the foot of the tree across from his own. Left there by humans no doubt. That was just typical!
Determined to stop the noise one way or another, Ratch slid down the trunk of his tree and darted up to the boombox. Flattening his ears to try and block out the hammering noise as best he could, he searched around the box for some way to shut it off; pawing at it angrily, whilst shouting various cat obscenities at it.

Flattening her ears, Dahlie hissed at the strange song. It wasn't one she had heard before and it was horrible! Not to mention Obscene! Not that that bothered her any...but still.
Glancing down she noticed a male cat hissing at the box and messing with it. Eyes wide she sank her claws into the bark before dropping out of the tree all together and landing with a loud thud behind the cat. "Ohy, stop it will ya? I like this song!"

Ratch jumped, taken completely by surprise by the female, though she was lucky he could even hear her over the ear shattering noise of the boombox. He hissed at her at first, jumping up onto the boombox and scratching at the speakers with his claws.
“I’m not surrrprised you like this wubbish!” he spat, jumping off the box and trying to tip it over by ramming into it with his head. It was true he’d never met the female before but she did look the type that would enjoy this kind of racket.

Dahlie sighed and rolled her eyes as she shoved the male out of the way. "Here, stop before you ruin it." she mrrowed as she put her paws on the side of the boom box and slid it down. A tiny wheel spun down and clicked as the music turned off. "Better now?" she asked him, quite irritated he ruined a perfectly good jam session.

Ratch glared at the female as she shoved him out of the way, watching curiously as she managed to switch off the music. Regaining composure and flicking both his nose and tail into the air, he left up onto the boombox once more; almost triumphantly this time. Washing his fur in a prissy manor; Ratch pretended not to care that the female had stopped the so-called ‘music’ and put an end to his headache.
“…thankyou” he said finally, softly and in a tone that suggested he didn’t particularly mean it, “I suppose you're with the bloody humans who started that wacket in the first place?”

Dahlie grinned. "Nope. They aren't mine." she said, matching his prissy tone as she proceeded to rasp a pink tongue over her paw and then over her ear. "I just come here to relax and listen to the music." she mrrowed, eying him only out of the corner or her eyes. He was cute...but she wasn't interested. She only wanted him gone so she could turn the music back on before the humans who owned the machine came back.

Ratch eyed the female, not entirely sure he believed her, “Wight, I’m surre” he licked his paw and ran it across the back of his ear, before jumping down off the boombox and padding around the female curiously; sitting back down in front her when he was done, “Well I’ve got much better things to do then to sit around chatting with the likes of you, so if you’ll excuse me” tail high in the air, he began to pad back to the tree he had been occupying before the music had destroyed the peace.

Dahlie sighed. Normally, she would have let him stalk off alone, but he looked like the fun type to mess with. Grinning and giggling, she bounded off after him. "Hey wait up! I didn't even catch your name!" she mewed with a grin and batted her eyes at him.

Ratch stopped mid step, sighing dramatically at the female, “If you must know you nosey little dog dwopping; my name is Battawatch” he considered leaving now, but figured she’d probably just follow him anyway, “…and your name is wot exactly?”

Dahli giglged. "Battawatch is a funny name." she teased him, batting her lashes again. "Dahliefaliea is my name, but you can call me just Dahlie." she grinned, blinking her sparkling golden eyes and swishing her fluffy cream and white striped tail. "So where do you come from?" she asked curiously, wondering if his family of humans lived near hers, mostly so she could get her humans to play their music louder to annoy him. He was cute when he was angry.
