Fight A Monster Of Your Choosing

Rules
~ No posting in a test thread unless it's your test.
~ Limited to 4 posts. You can use less.
~ You have 2 weeks to finish your rp.
~ Must use the battle field type assigned to you.
~ You must follow the testing scenario assigned to you.
~ Have fun!

Scoring:
A 85 credits
B- 75 credits
C- 65 credits
D- 45 credits
F- 20 credits

~Ice- Pretty simple with this one. The floor becomes solid ice. There are random chunks of ice protruding from the floor. And of course, you have little to no traction.

~Desert- Pretty much nothing but massive sand dunes. You sink down into the sand, which slows you down a LOT. If the wind blows, the sand gets kicked up, which obscures vision.

~Open Field- A plain grassy field with nothing on it.

~Ocean- A mini ocean about 40 feet deep. There are five floating platforms for battlers to stand on. The plat forms bob around and it's really hard to keep your balance on them.

~Dense Forest- The arena is packed from wall to wall with dense, tropical trees. As in any tropical jungle, there are lots of vines and other such things to get tangled up in.

~Land of Fire- Parts of the arena floor sink away, leaving behind pits of lava. Also, pillars of fire erupt from the floor periodically

~Concrete- A plain concrete floor.

~The Abyss- Near complete darkness engulfs the arena. Dark energy is abundant in this field.

~The Sanctuary- Opposite of the Abyss. Light energy fills the arena. Its very bright!

~No floor- The floor drops away leaving a pit filled with spikes. There are levitating platforms at varying heights, going all the way to the top of the arena. It's hard to jump from platform to platform, and trust me, you don't want to fall.

It wasn't cold, but it got cold fast. Anton was quite glad he had a scarf on, though, the rest of is clothing could have been better. "A test? What is a test? What is the test about? Make sure I am a good student? Understood. Kill a monster. I will comply." he had asked, spoken and asked some more. His speech was careful an too the point. No need to bother people with questions, though, he did fondly remember Rae saying questions were acceptable at one point. "It is most likely not uncommon to put a student into a freezing cold chamber with icy floor to kill a monster. Otherwise, why would I be here?" he thought, reasoning with himself. "It was normal. Just normal. Yes, it had to be normal." A pause in thought came and went. "In fact, I will ask other students to verify that this is normal for the average attendee of Tenshi." This time, Anton spoke aloud in his plain, level voice to make himself feel better. Despite his appearance, the truth was that this IDK was scared. Ice was frozen water. Ice like this most often occurs over frozen bodies of water. Under said ice, was water. And really, Anton feared water. He deeply, deeply abhorred large bodies of water.

Anton merely stood there, not moving for what felt like an eternity. Though they said he had as long as he needed to finish the 'test' it was unlikely he had 'that' much time. He had to move soon; Anton's feet were already becoming numb from the cold. Carefully, slowly he took a single step forward. Wham! He slipped. He fell. And his head hurt a little. Just a little of course. "Ice is solidified water, and is very slippery most of the time. Rubber boots will not help, but to only a degree." he quickly thought. In order to move efficiently, and without slipping, his options were limited, and bitterly so. "I will hate myself for this." A cloud of vapor formed before him as he spoke; it was sliced in half as he drew Albion's noble sword. A moment later, Anton was on his knees, sliding forward by using the Ninjato to propel himself across the ice. Anton's face was sealed in an expressionless mask, though he was boiling with turmoil inside. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry I'm..."

Punt! One of the larger chunks of ice suddenly kicked him like a football and sent him flying. He instinctively curled up in the fetal position as he bounced off the test room's wall and begun to ricochet a few times between the icy chunks. The Ice Golem merely stood there, slightly turning his head back and forward to track Anton as it watched. Finally, Anton came to a slow stop in the open. The cast iron frying pan on his polymer framed pack grated against the ice as he did so. He gave a grunt. "Ow." Anton slowly stood up, carefully, to avoid slipping again. It hurt. And of course, everything else did too. Most of his bones had bent and flexed under impact before popping back. And it hurt to have the marrow bent like that. Bruised and battered, again, he used Fate's Ninjato to stand himself up from the icy floor. As Anton looked up, he saw the Golem barreling towards him, using it's hands to propel itself like a skier. Anton was wordless, but he did give off a small, indignant frown.

Anton slid slightly to the side as the hunched over ice golem skated by again. Sword outstretched, he gave it a blow to an arm enhanced by the creature's own momentum. Shards of ice were chipped off, showering the odd knight. Bits and pieces hit his face, sharp and cold. As it sailed by, it flailed an arm out and slashed Anton's ribs in retaliation. He grunted again as it was getting ready to make another pass. As it rounded one of the larger ice chunks, the line of sight was blocked; Anton took the opportunity to duck behind a smaller chunk himself and to check his wound. The two cuts went deep into his side, but did not piece into the lungs yet. Thick blood slowly oozed out of the black-red flesh. The muscle fibers were frayed where they were sliced, as though it were rope. Deal with it later. Now...I cannot cut or slice the golem to death. Does it have any organs inside? Is it weak at the joints? Or perhaps I can... A loud roar pieced his thoughts; the golem was angry at being stood up, and was actively searching him out. This would be significantly easier if I knew fire magic. I suppose magic is common here... He made a quick mental note to try and learn it after the test, just as he was grabbed around the ankle and lifted high.

As the serrated knuckles went towards his face, Anton quickly curled up and ground the Ninjato into the wrist joint. It quickly let him go, but only grunted in annoyance. He slid about like an ant as the golem's mighty fists came down. Underfoot, ice cracked and shattered, providing Anton with better traction on the slippery surface. By now, the three meter tall golem was even trying to stomp on him with it's feet, without much success. His mind huffed, barely able to think; Attacks fast, long time between. A foot went by as it tried to kick him, Anton quickly scrambled over to the other leg and struck! The blade sent chips of ice flying from the back of the knee. It only replied with the returning heel of the other leg. It clipped Anton's left arm, cracking the radius bone. He winced and pulled even closer into it's blind spot, dodging strikes. Not working! Need crush! Anton frantically thought in broken words as the Ice golem tried again and again to kill. As it reached out, one of it's fingers clumsy tapped against the cast iron frying pan Anton kept upon his pack. Clank! Anton would have struck his forehead with his palm, if it were not for the icy needle flying at him.

The projectile shattered across the frying pan's surface, sending out a harsh note. With renewed vigor, Anton closed the gap once more and swung at the back of it's right leg. A larger chunk of ice broke off as the frying pan's edge hit home. The leg wobbled as the golem gave off a note of surprise as it fell. "Goh?" On it's back, it stared up at the ceiling as though in confusion, as if thinking, "What just happened?" though, most likely without the proper grammar. It rolled over onto all fours. Anton quickly swung out at a wrist, cracking it; the sudden force had the hand slip out from under it. Anton quickly scaled it like a staircase and brought the frying pan to bear. Ice cracked and flaked as he hammered away at it's neck and head. As the dented frying pan plummeted downwards again, Anton slipped. The Golem was finally getting back onto it's feet, and threw him off, sprawling on his back. It slammed it's fists into the icy ground and bellowed in rage. A web of cracks spread. Fissures emerged. Freezing water lapped and churned.

The Ice Golem floated effortlessly. Anton, however, was another story. He screamed real good. As he struggled to pull himself out of the water's edge, Anton's hands' panicked grasp merely eroded the chipping edge further, with no solid object to grab on to at the surface. The Golem floated over and reached out for Anton. In a frenzy of fear, he lashed at the hand with both legs at once, eventually pushing half of himself out of water. Icy fingers clamped around Anton's foot. His free hand automatically grabbed a large tooth dagger from his belt and ground the pearly white tip into the ice. It dug in deep as he was partly dragged back. In a classic move, he wiggled his foot, popping free from his old traveling friend. Anton pulled back and shielded himself with the frying pan as the golem spat another icy spine at him. The force bruised his fingers, and left yet another dent in the mangled cookware. Again. Again. Again. Each time, Anton was pushed a little farther and farther away from the Golem and the water.

Anton screamed again. A meter long lance pierced his calf and pinned him to the icy floor. The golem, satisfied, began to slowly pull itself out of the icy brine. Blood pooled as the ground rumbled from each step. It's shadow came over Anton. For the moment, Anton could only speak. "I HATE YOU!"
"Haw." It laughed. Ice shattered, and the stump of a bloodied lance was jammed into it's mouth. Anton leaped up and stood on it's shoulders, screaming in it's face.
"MELT IN HELL!" Spittle splashed into it's 'eyes' as the frying pan smashed into the ruined lance and dagger, using them like a wedge. The leverage destroyed the jaw, sending it spinning. Anton's bad leg gave out and he tumbled off it's shoulders as it's arms came up.
"Auugauuuhgh!" it worked it's jaw less mouth. "Auuuggghhh! Ouughh!" It stumbled about in pain and eventually it's bad knee was struck again, finally ruining it. The ice golem collapsed as Anton limped over, raising the frying pan again. A cheshire cat grin was on his face as he stepped up, eyes wide.

Anton was at the edge of the opening in the ice. The surface was starting to slush over as it froze again. Albion's sword was still in his grasp as he tried to push the blade through one of the loops in the boot's knot. A little to the right of him was a horribly mangled and dented frying pan. Next to that was a sewing kit. Even farther off was the remains of the Ice Golem. An arm was evidently smashed off slowly by blunt trauma as it struggled to bat its assailant away to no avail. The head was simply missing. Anton was still scared of the water, and therefore, used the sword to try and get his boot back. The blade passed into the loop, and he finally lifted it out of the water. The stitches in his side suddenly started to come undone, causing him to flinch. The sword turned, blade up and sliced the knot. A single "Ploop!" could be heard as the boot fell back into the water. His depressed monotone echoed slightly. "My boot..."

Wow cadet.
Not a bad test at all. I'll drop an 82 here.

I especially like the ending.

"My boot..."
