Name: Hannele
Gender: Female
Age: 27
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Rank: Weyrwoman

Appearance: Hannele is not stunningly beautiful, though she has some decent features. Her face is rather delicate looking, with small mouth with well-defined, luscious lips and slightly larger-than-average eyes. Her face is heart-shaped and sits atop a larger-sized body. She is a little chubby, but it adds to her curves which she wears well.

Hannele has light skin, usually tanned or a pinkish color from time spent outside, but ivory if she's ever kept inside for too long. Her hair is wild and curly, usually untamed and falls past her shoulders. The black locks are rarely kept in check except during a serious flight, such as Threadfall. She can get it together in record time, but usually prefers for it to remain free. Her eyes are amber brown, though the shade seems to vary depending on the clothes she wears.

Hannele wears bright colors whenever she can, often a shorter, dressier skirt than plain. Her head is always held up high, her steps deliberate and with a slight swing in her hips. She runs her fingers through her hair whenever there's something troubling her and it's her greatest tell.

Over the last year, Hannele's appearance hasn't changed too much. She seems to have aged a little, but not badly. She still seems to be friendly, approachable, though her fingers being twined in her hair are a common sight nowadays.

Personality: Hannele is a vibrant person, always moving in some way and usually talking. She can tend to rattle, but can usually keep herself from going on until she becomes annoying. She is generally pleasant to be around, keeps the conversation light and is very diplomatic about steering people away from sensitive subjects with others. She reads people well, and she enjoys them. People are her favorite things, and she almost never misses the chance to meet someone new. She loves to hear their stories and almost insists on being told one to stop being an annoyance.

Though Hannele is a fun person to be around, she is a bit of a brat. Arrogance runs hand-in-hand with stubbornness to the point where she refuses to back down from much of anything without people there to tell her otherwise. She will even start yelling at people, pointing out their flaws to distract from the fact that she may be wrong. However, her bratty attitude has died down a little in the last year as she coped with being in charge. The streak is not even mostly gone, but she has learned to keep herself in check about half the time when she starts getting worked up.

She treats everyone basically the same, though she seems to have a bit higher respect and attention to people Impressed to gold firelizards, whers, or dragons. She sees them as special, perhaps superior, though she wouldn't admit it openly (though maybe after a few drinks…). Hannele is a bit of a snob in that respect, judging people based on the color of their bondeds, though it's more of a personality analysis rather than a "you Impressed a blue; you are beneath me" scenario, though she is not afraid to pull rank when she needs to. She also seems to favor, just a little, the people of Telgar over the people originally from Southern.

Hannele's love for people extends to the bedroom, and she very much enjoys different partners. She loves to fall in love, and might claim that she has several people she is in love with, and it would not be far from the truth. Her ability to settle down with one person is impaired, but she might be able to limit herself to a small group if some sort of commitment was required.

A thing to note about Hannele is her love for the spotlight. When all eyes turn to her, she is in her prime, whether it's an argument over something trivial, riding with Elenneth, or dancing, which she loves to do. She acts her best when she knows people are watching. However, drawing attention to herself is not a conscious effort, though her subconscious efforts might be heavily debatable.

History: Hannele was born the second of four daughters to a Joined couple in Telgar Hold, her mother was a Weaver, and her father was a Trader that had reluctantly settled down when he had fallen in love. The pair were great parents, her mother teaching her all the practical things while her father taught her whimsy by telling her stories about the people he had met and the things he had seen. Of all the children, she was closest to him, and, starry-eyed, she began to meet others as well. The little girl was everywhere around the Hold, bothering people, talking to them, trying to pry into their personal lives, usually to be brushed off or entertained for a few moments. She began to read people better, to know when they were getting agitated with her and when to retreat.

As she grew, so did the stories, encompassing tales of peril, stories of the dragonriders and of Trader life, and, most of all, stories of love. By the time the girl was eight, she knew she wanted someone to come by and sweep her off her feet like her father had her mother. When she inquired as to why her mother hadn't gone off with her father, the woman simply replied that it was impractical. Hannele tried to convince her for most of the night that she was wrong, pushing all the wrong buttons on purpose to get an honest response, but the story remained the same.

Hannele began spending more and more time away from the cothold, running around with her friends to play pretend; they made their own stories, in which Hannele was usually the tragic heroine who rose to defeat the evil when it didn't look like she would be able to. By the time she was ten, though, everything began to change. Her friends became occupied with their futures, while she remained the holdbrat still trying to look for a way out.

At twelve, she refused to become an apprentice, not really showing much interest in a craft or an aptitude for anything, though her story-telling almost landed her as a Harper's apprentice. She fought against it, not wanting to leave home. When the offer was made for her to train there, she tried, but she lacked the focus and gave up soon afterward. The knowledge that it was expected of her to marry had her clinging to her father's shadow, protecting herself from any suitors who might bother. Her elder sister was Joined not long after she turned fourteen, when she saw a way out.

A band of Traders had made their way into the Hold, and her father seemed familiar with them. Excited, she got through to a few of the leaders, people who looked a lot like her, though there were many in the caravan who didn't. She told them everything right off the bat, and they rejected her at first. She overheard some of the others talking about how one of their members who usually cared for the draft animals, runners, and other animals had fallen ill, and she took a chance. It turned out she was fairly good with animals, a trait that she had never really explored before.

Over the next few Turns, she had a full experience, meeting interesting people, traveling most of Pern, and became exceedingly close with the man who had been ill when she had taken his job. At fifteen, she was convinced her was her true love, and the pair made plans to be Joined the moment they set foot in Telgar Hold, though that didn't stop them from preparing in one of the wagons when the others were away from the area. At the same age, she walked into a Hold the day before a firelizard Hatching. It was her first time seeing a gold anything, having always been busy helping her mother at the Gathers, and she was amazed. The creature would have nothing to do with her, but she resolved to save her money for a firelizard egg. They continued to travel, and the relationship with the man grew more casual and she felt herself loosen up from being a holdbred prude. She began to experiment with other men in the caravan (the ones who looked nothing like her; she wasn't an idiot), and found herself liking this new side of life.

When she re-arrived at Telgar Hold, she was seventeen and a half, and full of her own stories. Her parents and sisters were overjoyed to see her return safely, and the plans to be Joined with the Trader dissolved into thin air. Neither was really surprised, but their parting was emotional nonetheless, for Hannele remained at Telgar Hold.

She began working in the stables when she could, having fallen in love with animals on her journey, though she never became a beastcrafter. When she wasn't being with the animals, she was usually bothering other people to ask what all had happened to them in the Turns since she had left, and working in the kitchen, becoming closer to her mother than ever. Her father became rather distant, not really approving of her method of fleeing, though not willing to tell her so or berate her for being foolish.

At eighteen, a searchrider landed in Telgar Hold, and he rooted out Hannele. She was amazed by the dragon, and the prospect of becoming one excited her in a way she hadn't felt since she had been looking at a future of uncertainty with the caravan. She agreed, and found the Weyr much more to her liking. As a candidate, she studied dutifully, though became often sidetracked by how different living in a Weyr was.

At nineteen, she stood before the clutch, and a golden hatchling made her way to Hannele. Elenneth and she were bonded. As a goldweyrling, she experienced much stress and felt stifled to the point of wanting to run, but knew better than to flee. She graduated and became a goldrider under Delina, whom she found delightful. Elenneth Flew for the first time, and Hannele found herself loving the feeling more than she probably should have. Excited and elated with Elenneth's clutch, she almost didn't leave the Hatching Cavern as it came closer for the Hatching. It was hard to let go when the shells finally burst, but she watched the dragons grow and felt pride in them.

Time passed, and Hannele found herself pregnant at twenty-three by a bronzerider whose dragon had caught Elenneth. She debated long and hard about the child, and found herself unsure of what to do. Elenneth was distressed when Hannele asked her to between, but obeyed unhappily. Both are still sensitive about the subject, but Hannele will admit that she'd rather her child be with someone she cares for, not something that happened out of her control.

When Delina became ill, Hannele became distressed at the thought of losing her mentor and friend, and the blow that came with Delina's death along with the long period of illness around the Weyr was enough to almost take her out. If not for Elenneth's urgings that she had to care for Telgar or no one else would, Hannele might not have fought her way to her feet.

She avoided the illness, luckily, though her new Weyrleader, B'heb, did not. When he was left mostly deaf and incredibly weak, she considered asking him if he minded being replaced, but she was stunned when he proved to be just as capable despite his flaws as he had been before. They bonded together fairly strongly, uniting forces just before being tested.

The merger between the Weyrs was proposed, and she accepted, only because she understood the risks that would come to them both with their depleted ranks. She had expected that there would be, perhaps, a junior queen given to Telgar, but they were instead gifted with Indira, the Weyrwoman. Hannele understood that the other was used to being in control, and understood fairly well that, with her being more than several years her senior, that the other should have probably been the overall head. However, Hannele was stubborn in her beliefs that Delina would have wanted her to follow, not Indira, and so she didn't surrender. The scuffles between the 'riders made her worry, and the other's uncaring attitude was almost enough to throw her, but she resolved to remain firm after Lyath's clutch.

Hannele had never been more angry in her life than after the gold went between. The dragon had died because of Indira's negligence, so far as Hann was concerned, and she became solidified in her idea that she was in the right. She remains firm in her resolve still, and she has been happy with Indira's near-silence after Benden and High Reaches threatened to replace them both.

Name: Castor
Age: Newly Hatched
Color: Brown
Personality:Happy-go-lucky most of the time, the Hawkeyed Lieutenant nevertheless has a more mature side. He takes his orders very seriously, and anyone that he feels should be under his protection will have a guardian for life. Even though he is not a big brown he is fast, and is strong enough to hold his own most of the time. He idolizes Morning's King, perhaps out of guilt for hurting him during the hatching, and will obey the bronze's commands better than his own human's most of the time: although, that doesn't mean he's disobedient. It times of trouble or in times of peace, he will be a steadfast friend and supporter. He will keep his flawless proportions, for his size, into adulthood and will gain a little more muscle.
His eyesight is unusually good, even for a fire lizard: The Hawkeyed Lieutenant can spot rockmites scurrying around from half a milfe away. This ability makes him a natural born hunter, which he uses to his advantage. Catching fish and small game is his special forte, and he will often bring his human or his human's other fire lizard offerings of small fish that he can carry. It is wise to praise him for this, because he is easy to offend if his gifts aren't appreciated. He likes to be taken seriously, even though he also has a childish side and enjoys expressing it.

Name: Pollux
Age: Newly Hatched
Color: Bronze
Personality:Evening's King is a character. He will be a source of both great frustration and pride for his bonded. He has a curious awareness and intelligence that not many lizards can claim, often humans and dragons will get a very strong impression that this bronze knows more than he's letting on. He's crafty, and even with his human he may pull tricks. Even with a firm handed approach, control over this bronze will always be dubious: he does what he wants, and it usually benefits him first. It is difficult to really and truly get Evening's King to like you, but then again it is also difficult to get him to hate you. He may be flattering and attentive if he wants something from you, but as soon as there is no longer anything in it for him he will likely ignore you. He treats most everyone the same: with manners that are only just acceptable, and borderline on being obnoxious at times. Almost always, he has an air of superiority: as if others aren't worth his time.
Underneath his somewhat frustrating exterior, however, has does have a few surprisingly soft spots. Once he either likes you or respects you your status with him is set for life. No matter how big your mistakes are, he won't abandon you. While he is bitter rivals with Morning's King, he is curiously tender toward Sunlight's Prince and Dawn's Princess. Especially toward Dawn's Princess, he is considerate and protective: acting as an older brother and protector. Whatever trouble those two get into he will do his best to protect them. His protectivness over Dawn's Princess sometimes erupts into full blown possesiveness, and he can be quite nasty toward the human she has bonded with.
Evening's King doesn't show much affection, and occasionally his behavior may accidentally hurt those he loves, but he almost always has the best intentions for them, or for himself, at heart. It just takes a while to get used to him, that's all.

Dragon: Elenneth
Age: 8
Color: Gold
Appearance: Elenneth is a large, healthy gold. Her bone structure lends itself to her looking petite, but she is full-sized and none-too-shy about it. Her wingspan is massive to support her weight, and she has incredible stamina in the air. Her head is a bit narrower, and her neck and tail almost look slender, but the beautifying effect is not continued in the body or legs.

Elenneth is bright gold in color, almost blinding under regular circumstances. Lighter marks make a mask-shape on her face, over her eyes. The same color decorates her hide in small dots that make it look like some sort of dust needs to be shaken off. Darker parts of her hide fade into her normal coloring on the tip of her face, tail, and wings.

Personality: Elenneth is incredibly friendly for a gold, outgoing to all dragons, firelizards, and whers. She'll talk to them happily for hours on end, engage in their games, and be their friend without discrimination. She tends to get frustrated when people talk to her, as she doesn't really see them as part of her world. Only people relevant to Hannele are relevant to her, and she will not, unless she must, speak to another human besides Hers UNLESS they are a child.

Elenneth is incredibly mothering to all children of any species, even going to see hatchlings that don't belong to her. If she's supposed to become detached from the little ones, it doesn't happen. She often checks on her hatchlings, either via weyrlingmaster or confrontation; it's impossible for her to let things be.

Elenneth does not get jealous of others because of her confidence. She knows herself to be the best, and this prideful stance is the one Hers shares. However, she is very affectionate, and she is often seen touching Hers or Hers touching her. If she favors another dragon, she does insist on touching them, brushing wings on the ground or touching tails – little things to make her happy.

Elenneth does get angry, but her own anger flusters her more. When she does get that way, she hides, usually on her weyrledge, until it goes away. She often apologizes profusely when she gets mad, even if the other party was never aware of it.
