Appearance: Carental has messy blond hair and mischievous blue eyes. He stands at 5"7 with a medium build. He seems to have a little darker skin than most and the cheesiest smile around. When you see him smile, you can't help but smile. On his left arm he has several scars from knife fights.

Personality: If a child has to go see a healer they just love to see Carental. He loves to make children smile, and they love to see him act like a goof. His mind is constantly coming up with ways to make people smile. A good majority of those ideas are pranks. But the pranks he does don't hurt or abuse anyone, because as a child he hated seeing his friend getting picked on.
He likes to play knight around ladies. Making sure they are treated fairly and never taken advantage of. Flirting can't hurt right?
Carental isn't all that easy to anger, he is usually the one to break up the fights. If you do make him angry though, you better watch your back. He has gotten into various squabbles over the years and has some scars to prove it. Rarely does he lose a fight.
A flaw that he does have is that he can at times take things a little too seriously. If you jokingly say that you're going to jump off a cliff, he will stalk you for a few days to make sure you don't. He also has a habit of cracking his knuckles really loudly.

History: Carental grew up in Fort Hold. As a child he was known as the top prankster in the Hold. He couldn't be topped. The non-cruel nature of his pranks kept him from being the most hated. He had many friends but one he was usually found around in particular was Minno. She was young and picked on, so he couldn't stand around and let it be. As they grew they became close friends, even if she preferred to be with the little kids.
At 16 he was taken to be an apprentice at the Healer Hall by request of his parents who wanted his attitude to calm down a bit. Carental worked hard and became a Journey Man by the age of 18. When he heard that Minno had been searched and taken to Telgar Weyr, he couldn't help but be overly happy for her. Unfortunately he couldn't make it to the Hatching.
When the plague hit Pern, he did all he could for his patients. Including trying to make them laugh. Eventually Carental fell ill, but quickly recovered unscathed.
Carental was shocked at the hatchling deaths over the course of the Turn, and the attitudes of the Weyrs. Weren't they supposed to work together?
Close to the day Svrieth's last clutch graduated, Carental asked to be transferred to a Weyr to learn more about Dragonhealing before becoming a Master. He ended up getting transferred to Telgar and hopes to find Minno.
