Hello fellow WriMos!
If you're new here, before you introduce yourself, please make sure you've read the Code Of Conduct.
So tell us all about yourselves! Here's some questions if you can't think of anything to say.
-How old are you? -How long have you been writing? -What's your favorite genre to write? -What's your favorite novel you've ever read? -How many times have you done NaNo? -Have you ever made it to 50k? -What kind of story are you working on for 2012? -Any hobbies besides writing?
I'll start!
-How old are you? I'm 18 years old. It's the oldest I've ever been. C:
-How long have you been writing? I always loved making up stories even when I was very little. I "wrote" books when I was about three, before I could actually write. I just scribbled to make it look like there were letters, and then I drew pictures. Then I'd show them to my family and "read" them. xD Storytelling has been a part of my life as long as I can remember.
-What's your favorite genre to write? Fantasyyyyyy. Especially Urban Fantasy type stuff. No, not because you can break the rules and not do research... I like research. >w>
-What's your favorite novel you've ever read? I can't pick just one. crying I loved 1984, The Thief of Always, Something From the Nightside, and Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff. Also Peter David's Sir Apropos Of Nothing series.
-How many times have you done NaNo? Just once. xD 2009 will be my second year. I loved it so much last year that I've been super excited to try again.
-Have you ever made it to 50k? Sadly no... xD
-What kind of story are you working on for 2009? I have a couple of ideas bouncing around. I might restart what I did last year (which failed cause I didn't plan right) or I might work on an idea for a fantasy story that I've been dreaming up. Or who knows. A lot can happen in two weeks. xD
-Any hobbies besides writing? I'm a storyteller by nature, but writing isn't actually my best medium, though I do love it. I love drawing comics and playing video games.

Well hi there! I'm PMS, it's nice to meet y'all.
-How old are you? I'm 18 years old, also. :] I like being this responsible awesome.
-How long have you been writing? For a long time. I used to write little stories when I was small, just to keep myself entertained. But, I suppose I've been writing seriously now for around six years.
-What's your favorite genre to write? I don't really like to pigeon-hole myself into one genre, because I decide on my ideas based on all sorts of things, and hence write a whole mixed lot of stuff. I guess mostly I work in Realistic Fantasy, but I've dabbled in pretty much everything from Murder Mystery (Agatha Christie stylie) to Historical Fiction. Usually it's some combination of the lot. =3
-What's your favorite novel you've ever read? That question is far too difficult to answer! I'm a big fan of lots of things, including Wicked by Gregory Maguire, and The Great Gatsby by Fitzgerald. I love reading in general.
-How many times have you done NaNo? This will be my fifth year taking part in the competition, and I can't wait!
-Have you ever made it to 50k? Every year but my first year I've hit over 100,000 words during the month, and most years I've finished the novel I've worked on too. My first year I hit 25,000 words, and finished the novel 2.5 years later after working on a lot of other things. XD At least I finished it.
-What kind of story are you working on for 2009? It's a kind of fantasy novel, called Pretty Little Liars about a girl in her late teens who is kidnapped by a scatter-brained family of Changelings from the world of Fane, only to be roped into helping her double, Tibby, save the world from a power-hungry madwoman. <3
-Any hobbies besides writing? Reading, photography, listening to music... I'm also a MASSIVE musical theatre geek, though I can't act, dance or sing. =P
I'm sure you'll grow to love me. : D

I'm not fast enough to make first post crying
-How old are you? 17 and kicking
-How long have you been writing? Since Fourth Grade... Kinda. I started but dropped off and picked it back up in Seventh -What's your favorite genre to write? Sci-Fi, Fantasy. Or at least I try to write like the books I read.
-What's your favorite novel you've ever read? Everyone. It'd been easier to say which I hated.
-How many times have you done NaNo? Never!
-Have you ever made it to 50k? Ha!
-What kind of story are you working on for 2009? A kinda futuristic story. I mean they have some technology that we don't.
-Any hobbies besides writing? Yes! Reading, Softball and Target Shooting. I've got serious aim.

Helloooo peoples! xD
@ Sheena - Oh wow, you made it to 50k all four times? That's crazy awesome. You get a gold star. Um, four gold stars!
@ Kan - I hear the Vampire Academy series is really good. Never read it, though. Never heard of Marked, either. I should add them to my library lurk list.
@ PMS - Best. Nickname. Ever. xD Also HOLY CRAP. You also get a bunch of gold stars. How do you write so much? Do you have a clone that types while you sleep?
@ Senryoske - Target shooting sounds FUN. Do you mean like, with guns, or a bow and arrows, or what? xD I wanna try both.

Konichiwa minna-san! <3
-How old are you? 10+10. You do the math. 3nodding
-How long have you been writing? I've dabbled in writing ever since I knew how to write pretty much. Writing out nonsensical stories as a child, writing for the neighborhood newsletter when I was about nine, and every writing project I was assigned for school was happily welcomed.
-What's your favorite genre to write? Fantasy. Although I also like coming-of-age YA stories too. They're mostly things that correspond with something that happened to me in my younger days.
-What's your favorite novel you've ever read? That is one of the hardest questions anyone can ever ask me (besides "What is love?"). For me to determine a favourite, the novel has to move me emotionally, and if it can strike several emotions that's a bigger thumbs up. So I'd have to say Ella Enchanted. I can read it over and over and over... And never get tired of it.
-How many times have you done NaNo? Only once.
-Have you ever made it to 50k? Nope. 44,009 words is my highest word count.
-What kind of story are you working on for 2009? Fantasy. I'm actually rather excited since I get to world build. Of course I'm putting that off right now, so when November rolls around my story will look a lot like "MC could see off in the distance the town of ". It's gonna be great. xD
-Any hobbies besides writing? Mostly just reading, drawing, listening to music, hanging out with friends, and hookah. <3
Good luck everyone. I'm rooting for you all 100%! ^ ^

-How old are you? 20.
-How long have you been writing? Since I could read. I have been "seriously" writing only for the past couple years. I loved writing but never considered it as anything useful for fear that I'd be living in a damp cardboard box licking the remains of half empty tuna cans. Not to say I plan to be a professional writer; I've just allowed myself to enjoy the craft and not worry about those sorts of things. For now.
-What's your favorite genre to write? I have a hard time not throwing a little magic in there somewhere.
-What's your favorite novel you've ever read? I'd say Gone With the Wind, not even for the story or the style (which were great, don't get me wrong) but because I think Scarlett was an awesome protagonist. I haven't read about a protagonist like that in a long time.
-How many times have you done NaNo? My first year was '08.
-Have you ever made it to 50k? Yes, and then some. 50,088! -What kind of story are you working on for 2009? This year I'm doing a LOT of plotting. It is about a shy girl who gets trapped in a dimension-floating inn and gets possessed by the ghost of an arrogant prince.
-Any hobbies besides writing? My dog and I were involved in a lot of dog sports/activities, and will be resuming them when I move back home (which will be about a week after NaNo. I have so much to look forward to!!! whee ). I am also incredibly nerdy. I'm talking old-school, pen-and-paper RP nerdy. Video games, anime, sewing, cosplay, drawing, POKEMON.
I am religious about Pokemon. I want to do NaNoMangO next year and do a Pokemon fanfic. Normally I'm not so keen on fanfics, but when it comes to these contests I find it better to be completely silly for the first one. No one will ever, ever read my first NaNo novel. Otherwise I'll take myself too seriously, over-critisize myself and never finish.

-How old are you? I am 14… Wow, I feel kind of young. -How long have you been writing? Writing in general, or writing well? Because I've been writing stories since I was about seven, but I didn't get good at it until about 12. -What's your favorite genre to write? I'll write anything. I'm like a writing junkie. Action is always fun, along with fantasy, and sometimes, even though I'm not especially good at it, I love writing a little bit of horror. -What's your favorite novel you've ever read? Oh god, that is too hard… The only thing that really sticks out in my mind is Impulse by Ellen Hopkins, although I haven't really had time to read anything since school's filling up all of my time. I just remembered: Catherine, Called Birdy. I have been reading it for 6+ years, and the spine is broken from use. I love it though, and always read it. -How many times have you done NaNo? This is my first year, actually. Really excited for it xD -Have you ever made it to 50k? First year, so we'll find out at the end of November. =3 -What kind of story are you working on for 2009? I'm working on a supernatural, I think. I'm still working out the details. I have the main idea though, saved it for three months just for Nano. -Any hobbies besides writing? I attempt to draw, I read, attempt archery, play DDR, listen to music, and geeking out over things like RENT and certain video games. (Actually, lots of it's more attempting than anything sweatdrop )

Hey people! This is so exciting isn't it? Anyway, here I go:
How old are you? I'm 14. How long have you been writing? I guess you wouldn't say that I've been writing, but I have written a bit of poetry in my life. I don't know exactly when though. I usually just have a lot of stories and dreams in my head. I can have a hard time writing them down though. sweatdrop What's your favorite genre to write? Some kind of fiction that I can just come up with about things I like. What's your favorite novel you've ever read? I can't decide just like that! Well, some really awesome books are the Hunger Games series, Chronicles of Vladmir Todd series, The Boy on a Black Horse, and The Book Without Words by Avi. Also, Edgar Allen Poe! How many times have you done NaNo? This year was actually the first time I've heard of it, so I'm a beginner! Have you ever made it to 50k? Never on paper... I might have in my head at some point. What kind of story are you working on for 2009? Like I said, I have plenty of ideas in my mind so I'm not exactly sure yet. When I make a final decision, I'll let you guys know! Any hobbies besides writing? Of course! I draw, listen to music, hang out with my friends, and I'm starting to do a bit of sewing and weaving!

Aw, you found me all the way in the back of that Nano thread. heh. XD
-How old are you? 23
-How long have you been writing? Oh I dunno. I've been into fanfics since I was 12 and wrote a couple of fanfics when I was that age (but I only posted one before I took it down later. @___@) But I'm not a very consistent writer. I'm lazy. feh D:
-What's your favorite genre to write? Hmmm...whatever is in my head at the time. Right now it's a comedy romance thing (which merely makes fun of romance novels and movies. haha!)
-What's your favorite novel you've ever read? Hmmm...I have a few. Maybe not a favorite one. I like old school books like Johnny Tremain and short story books from Robert Louis Stevenson. Lately I can't get Edgar Allen Poe's poem out of my head, A Dream Within a Dream. "Take this kiss upon they brow! And in parting from you now~" Get out of my head! D: haha
-How many times have you done NaNo? Once last year (the first time I had heard of it). In fact I signed up the day before it would start (Halloween) since my friend mentioned it to me in a PM. So this will be my second.
-Have you ever made it to 50k? Yes. 55,017. But since I've been editing it I've only retained perhaps 30% of what I wrote down originally. @____@ So I had to backtrack a lot. Haha
-What kind of story are you working on for 2009? Same one and hopefully I'll finish this time since I know exactly what to do. The first time I was just going on a whim (from an oooold story I did in college). I'm half way done with it so hopefully I'll be done with it this time. fyu~
-Any hobbies besides writing? Running, internetz, video games, music. I use to play soccer but not anymore. heh
Anyway, that is my boring life. Haha

@ DDR - I FREAKIN LOVED ELLA ENCHANTED. <3 Win!
@ Lore - Your story sounds interesting. xD Also, Pokemon is the shiz.
@ KamiKaze - You'll be a growed-up before you know it. It will blindside you. xD
@ Catherine - Your username is the name of one of my fictional characters. It totally made me lawl when I saw your join request.
@ dreaming - I always have stories floating in my head too. The hardest part seems to be getting them out of your brain through the fingers. Personally, I'm waiting for when you can download ideas via USB cable and convert it to a .DOC!
@ Sevi - I went through ALL 43 PAGES OF THAT THREAD. My hand hurts so bad. Haha, I wrote some fanfic back in my day... it was really bad... I baleeted it from FanFic.net because I was still getting glorious reviews. >__>
@ Nuclear - Oooh, 1300's! My novel *might* be set in the 1400's if I go with the idea I've been stewing.
