Summary: Volterra was his prison, an entire city, but it didn't make up for the fact that he was alone and tortured. There had to be something to make this death sentence worthwhile.
Disclaimer: The Twilight series is the property of Stephanie Meyer, and I'm not her, so I'm not filthy rich and I don't really own anything that you see within this story.
Rating: pg - nc17
Warnings: Swearing, boy-love is going on here, possible chance of mpreg slow-building, sex; more to come as the fic is written.

Notes: Yeah, please don't judge me too harshly for this. I've been writing Twilight fanfiction (the uncanon stuff) for about two years now, and well, I like exploring pairings that most people don't think of, much less write. I'm the only person who is writing Marcus/Seth at the moment (some people might join me, which I'm hoping for), and this is going to be a large fic. So far I've gotten people interested in it, from the little excerpt which I included in another fic, so I'm really excited to get to work on it.

Also, please don't comment on the Italian if it's really horrible because I don't speak Italian and I had to use an online translator. Bonus & Extras Changed this since I figure that since this is a fanfiction you all are familiar with the characters, and if not then I'll give you some links to their pages on the Twilight Wiki... honestly that has saved my life a few times while working on this, even if I don't agree with the casting of a few of the characters. I may have to do a bit of recasting actually, so that will go here along with any other 'bonus' bits that may tie in with the story.
As if is, I do have two little drabble collections for this pairing which do tie in quite a bit to Complexity. So I shall post links to them; these links go to my FF.net account since they're all nicely grouped into single fics there. Firstly, there's my drabble fic, Acedia, which is part of my claim at 20paperplanes on LJ. Then we have i would follow you to the end of forever, which is my claim over at LJ's drabbles100.

Artwork Here's the cover art (minus the butt-ugly text that I put on it); just click on the thumbnail. There's probably going to be more art coming since she did say that she'd like to do some illustrations from certain scenes of the fic. I have one that I've requested, so hopefully that one will be up soon. I also now have a lovely banner! Alternative cover art has been added.

I'm happy you aren't using main characters. Meyer utterly destroyed them, lol. But i really liked Marcus and Seth, and was sad I didn't get much about them in the novels.

I have to agree with the fact that a lot of the characters had a lot of potential, and Meyer butchered that one part of the novels that I liked by the time they were over. And that was the potential that they had. By the end of the last book, I was asking myself: Why the hell did I read this in the first place?
I recovered from its shittiness by writing some well deserved Edward/Jasper angst. There was some Edward/Seth mixed in there too... I've always been an uncanon Twilight fanfiction author, ever since I first got into the books in the first place; though now I've started to move just a bit to other fandoms too. But Twilight does hold this weird little place in my heart because at least I can ignore the pitfalls of the original novels themselves by sticking to anything and everything that isn't canon pairings.
Well, I'm glad to hear that people are looking forward to reading this... I wasn't so sure that any of the other authors taking part in NaNo would be interested, considering that it's a fanfic and also taking into account Twilight's reputation in the literary world. But I'm glad that I've caught peoples attention with the unusual pairing; Marcus and Seth are two of my favorite characters. Both of them need more love.
... I'm the only one, at the moment, writing Marcus/Seth. But I have seen quite a few Marcus/Leah fics; haven't read them, but I know that they exist and a few of them are quite good.
