Not sure how much of this I will post. I expect it will be relatively tame, but with adult characters there may be scenes I have to edit.
Setting:
This novel is set on the planet Churchill, which is technically part of Earth's widespread galactic empire. Churchill is a "breadbasket" world, suited for agriculture over most of its land area. To control the grain prices, many restrictions were put in place early on about how much could be exported off planet, and how much farmers could grow. To further restrict growth, new colonists were forbidden the use of advanced technology.
Three hundred years after the first settlers arrived, there is a distinct classist society. The first coloniest own vast estates, and are considered a ruling class of nobility. They use advanced technology to operate successful farms. Later colonists either work for the nobles, or else live in the "tech-free" zone and farmers are forced to operate at a much smaller level due to lack of advanced machinery.

I made out a list of characters in advance...it's not exhaustive, but I wanted to at least get some names and ages written down, especially as one family is very large. Here they are:
1. Michael Kent Richter - age 30, noble who owns a massive farming estate. He is a member of the larger governing council, but will not not a High Lord until his father dies.
2. Algernon Richter - age 79, father of Michael. One of the ruling class and a full council member.
3. Marcus Antwerp - a young noble and friend of Michael.
4. King William - Monarch nd leader of the governing council.
5. Edward Miller - husband and father, owner of large independent farm near the village of Two Cross in the tech-free zone.
6. Dorothea Miller - wife of Edward, mother of ten.
7. Heather Miller - eldest daughter (age 22)
8. Marilyn Miller - 2nd daughter (20)
9. Danielle Miller - 3rd daughter (17)
10. Christina and Laura Miller - twin daughters (age 14)
11. Rachel Miller - 6th daughter (12)
12. Carolyn Miller - 7th daughter (10)
13. Miciah Miller - eldest son (age 4)
14. Matthew Miller - 2nd son (age 2)
15. Miles Miller - 3rd son (10 months)
16. Cecilia Wade - age 22, cousin of Miller children and best friend of Heather, lives on a neighboring farm.
17. Milton and Gloria Farrell - farmers in the employ of the Millers.
18. Gerry Marx - owner of general store in the village of Two Cross, holds farm accounts and acts as banker for most nearby residents.
19. Joanna Marx - wife of Gerry, works at the store and operates guest lodging for rare visitors.
20. Will Marx - age 21, son of Gerry and Joanna, in love with Marilyn Miller.
21. Aster Smith - village blacksmith.
22. Hubie Wilcox, age 22, Smith's apprentice, smitten with Heather Miller, and has turned nasty by her rebuffs.
23. Nick Grenadeau - Arrives in Two Cross as agent of the new parliamentary government formed following the revolt.
24. Mother Dinah - age 100, respected town matron and possibly a seer.
