Unicorns are many things. They are gorgeous creatures, of all the mythical beings unicorns are my favorite. Since I was little my mom has bought me little pegaus and unicorn figurines and jewlery. They're just so beautiful.

I like unicorns, and not to be sexist or anything but I like the tale that they can only be tamed by a virgin maiden. It kind of makes you feel special if you are a girl.^-^

Kisaki Kitsune-Hi I like unicorns, and not to be sexist or anything but I like the tale that they can only be tamed by a virgin maiden. It kind of makes you feel special if you are a girl.^-^ In most myths and tales it's a woman of pure heart to tame the beast. It's a really cool thought, but the down side to unicorns I guess is that you do out grow them in a way right?

I've heard that "pure heart" was another phrase for virgin, probably added to keep young girls from sleeping around. It is sad that you out grow them in a way, but I that you can believe in anything as long as you keep your heart open.^-^

Richard the Lion Heart, Robin Hood, and King Arthur were all concidered pure of heart until the day they died and most of them had or were trying to produce heirs.

What does everyone think of unicorns incarnating as humans?
I've met a woman who seemed special to me, she was white blonde and really lithe. She was one of the friendliest people i've ever met, and she had a discolouration of her skin on her forehead, a bit like a mole or a freckle i guess.
The way she spoke and acted just conjured up the image of a unicorn in my mind.
Kind of reminded me of Amalthea from The Last Unicorn.
I've just never met a person who made me feel quite as warm and protected as she did.

I don't think you ever outgrow them. They are the most beautiful of all mythical creatures.

Theme wise i mean, I understand that they're about unicorns XD Well, each story teaches a different lesson. They have a lot of depth, and each also encourages the belief in unicorns. It's really worth investing in, though. I've had the book since I was little, and I STILL love it

My favorite unicorn series by far was the unicorns of balinor series by mary stanton. I bought them way back when I was in elementary school and out of all my childhood books that I had I kept very few as I grew up but I still have a copy of my disney's little mermaid book and a few fairy tale books and of course the unicorns of balinor series.
