My Alex is getting over his first real cold. He ran a fever that sent us to the ER and coughed a lot and had a runny nose. He didn't sleep well at night.
As a result of him not feeling well, he turned into a Hulk baby. He was mad all the time. He threw toys when they wouldn't do what he wanted and would hit and kick us when we tried to comfort him. The only thing that quieted him was laying in his crib watching cartoons. Now that he is feeling better, he is back to his happy self.
How can you tell when your kids are sick?
Do they change their behaviors?
Any sick kid advice?

When it comes to a small babys the only thing to tell you is temp and behavior. You have to watch for things that arn't the normal like larger tantrums or lack of eatting. Some children won't eat for fear of making things worse inside of them. Its hard to spot things somtimes so ya always gotta be watching.
As far advice. Just let it be, if hes tanturming cause his belly hurt just cuddle him and let him know its gonna be ok, their not trying to be bad. Their just reacting to how their body is making them feel

Thanks!
He's all better now. It was his very first cold so it was scary.
Then I got it!
I'm almost human again. And now I know what to expect the next time he gets sick.

No kids are them self when they are sick. My best advice is cuddle keep warm and offer lots of fluids. I used to use those days as movies and pj days with my kids.
