So... here's the drawings I did for Unspoken... I had no scanner, so I used my camera to take a picture of the art. Hence why is looks like it does. sweatdrop

I can't draw. Not even those crappy technical drawings I'm required to do for class. So, yeah...

(Tektek reference. Characters are Charlotte, Leala, Jade, Amber, and Emmer from left to right.)

Jade

I didn't feel like trying to draw Jade's face, hence why he's turned away. sweatdrop

Amber, Jade's sister

Pock mark fail! At first she looked like had freckles. Poor Amber. And her hair didn't want to behave.

Leala, Jade's daughter

Leala's seven. I swear! She just looks a bit more mature in this picture... Can't draw kids. sad Those are supposed to be carnations, not cabbages, embroidered on her dress. The note at the bottom says "pretend there's more embroidery" in my messy handwriting.

The drawings are MUCH closer to how I imagined Jade, Amber, and Leala to look... The society they live in is very modest. Jade's exposed shoulder, back, and legs (yes, that skirt thingy is revealing bare legs) is equivalent to a person dressed in a very short skirt and showing off their midriff. Like my mom used to tell me, "You'd look like a hooker!" sweatdrop

Anyway, please forgive my mediocre art!

EDIT:

In OTHER exciting news!
Sephalo, amazingly wonderful artist that she is (she's WAY more talented than me), drew her own version of Leala, which I absolutely adore. Hooray! She looks a bit closer to seven in this one.

Squee! And, of course, my writer's brain refuses to let go of the fact that, in the picture, she looks like she's thinking about her dad. Her expression's all thoughtful and she's holding her necklace, which she knows once belonged to him. Aww... poor girl.

THANKS AGAIN SEPHALO! heart

Also: Pictures are colored and a drew another one of Saffron, Jade's paramour. I'll try to put them up either later tonight or early tomorrow (Sunday) morning. (I also tried drawing Charlotte, Leala's mother, but it didn't come out right, so I'm going to try again.)

Oo! I love Leala's dress! biggrin It's so pretty and I love the design~ Will you be adding colour to these? I'd love to see her dress in color. ^_^

Thanks!

Yes, I plan to take colored pencils to the drawings when I have some more time, but first I need to actually FINISH Leala's dress... if I do.

There's supposed to be more embroidery on it, but I'm lazy... so I may not finish it. sweatdrop For the time being, imagine a white/pale cream colored dress with embroidered red flowers on it. The bow is also red.

Thanks so much! 3nodding

I agree, Leala looks really pretty 3nodding ...she does look a bit older than seven, though. But I wouldn't call that "mediocre" by any means! XD

*Edit: Apparently I can't draw carnations either >.>;;
