So Remus got me inspired to write a short story.

Then I thought about it, it's great practice for me, and I wanted to write more.

So I figured I would continue on, and write for people, maybe taking offers.

Also they help my self-esteem in the presence of people that can draw and make art.

I Want Criticism

Though maybe include a compliment so I don't become depressed.

On Deck* (so I don't forget):
Slot 1: Snowy
Slot 2: Vacant
Slot 3: Vacant

*If full please wait until I get someone's done, I can only be so creative at once. I promise to get to it when I can.

Lengths will vary.

All fight results are NOT determined by me, so please keep claws/swords safely sheathed.

Note: I am taking artistic license with your characters, I will do research on parts, but this is me writing about your character, so please bear with anything you disagree with, PM me if you want something changed.

Table of Contents:

Alnette Primary: Page 1
Emma: Page 1
Kaokie: Page 1

Remus:

The Emperor stood on the bridge watching, waiting, and calculating. His flagship stood in position behind his army. He would have loved to be in the main force, cracking heads like the good old days, but duty commanded to lead from the rear. To his ship’s starboard hovered the Ethreal Emperor, a one of a kind ship designed and commanded by Onoma.

A soldier bounced to him and saluted. The Emperor recognized him by the fox ears. It would be Loki since his twin was currently in command of the Moses. “What is it” he asked. “The last of the new Omens the Eve has arrived, all of the Omen Class are in position. Jester waits for your command to proceed accordingly my liege” Loki replied. The Emperor nodded and waved a dismissal before motioning to another soldier to set up a broadcast.

“Men, and Ladies, today we stand at the foot of a new age. An age full of prosperity, full of individuality, an age full of passion! There is no gain without sacrifice, no victories without some form of loss. Men, and Ladies, I ask you to bring about an age of victory. I ask you to bring out the Age of the Empire. For the Empress!” He cried. This was taken up by everyone, the roar almost seeming to penetrate the silent space.
A soft ping told him 6 enemy ships were approaching. He debated for a second before giving an order. “Moses and Eve, advance.” They would fight first, the banner ships of his fleet, the morale of his armada. The opposing ships clashed and within seconds it was over, the debris of 6 enemy ships floating where the vessels once proudly stood. “Freighters sir, hardly a gun on them” a soldier reported. The Emperor nodded, he had expected that. What he hadn’t expected came next.
The Eve exploded in a brilliant blue and gold explosion that made absolutely no sound at all.

“In space no one can hear you scream”

“We’ve lost contact with the Moses! We’re being jammed” A soldier cried out. The Emperor started to reply, but something caught his eye. A warping of the stars, an invisible ship right in the middle of his forces.
It wasn’t invisible now as it dropped its guise, a ship almost as large as the Ethreal Emperor, but built like an Omen. It proceeded to decimate his fleet single-handedly, an armored mass of guns behind a shield of Trojan proportions.

The Ethreal Emperor engaged this, this Behemoth, its weapons barely getting through its shield. The Behemoth returned fire, punching through its adversary as if it was no more than a cardboard box. The Ethreal Emperor gave off one last shot that barely scorched the Behemoth’s hull.

“In space no one can see you bleed”

The Emperor realized he as being carried off by two soldiers, two large, brawny soldiers. “You must live, my liege” one of them said. They put him struggling into a stasis escape pod and launched him out of the ship as the Behemoth turned its attention to his flagship. The Emperor watched as the last ship in his armada was obliterated. His pod stuck itself in the middle of some wreckage.

“In space no one can see you cry”

The Emperor woke from the stasis to see Jester. “Good Evening my Liege” He said. “Where-“came the groggy reply. “The salvage ship Armstrong we have a fleet of them now and are picking apart the remains for a few days when we stumbled upon your tube. We’ve collected enough for an Omen, two carriers and a handful of freighters. We also salvaged a computer with the specs for one of those Behemoths from the wreckage of one of ‘em” Loki reported. “How in the Empress’ name did you do that?” The Emperor asked. He noticed a movement in the corner, it was Onoma. “The fool of captain here shot his engines into one of them and played dead. So right now we have a fleet of salvage ships, an Omen Class and materials to make more. We will get our revenge.”

Raven and Alnette:

Alnette sighed softly to herself. Her white hair fell elegantly around her shoulders and waist. The area before her was bare of opponents and bystanders alike. Dark Excaliber was at her side, unused in the absence of courage. She could always fight Jester, but he would be more interested in an ear scratching than a fight, and she hadn’t seen his twin lately. I suppose I could promise an ear scratching if Jester beats me that would get him to fight Alnette thought. She started to turn, heading to the arena where Jester would be fighting Samus when she heard someone giggle. She pivoted on her heel, turning about to see Raven perched on the wall. “How is the human tainted tramp?” Raven asked, grinning cockily. A man sat behind her, most likely a rich , Undead one for him to get Raven’s favor.

Alnette turned away, ignoring her. She felt a subtle pulse spike behind her and glanced back. Raven now wielded a blade, the humor in her expression gone. “So be it” Alnette said, taking a stance, Dark Excaliber at the ready. Raven leapt towards her, slashing downwards towards Alnette’s head. Alnette blocked and spun striking at Raven’s left side. Raven ducked and sliced towards Alnette’s legs, causing Alnette to jump upwards and kick downward, pressing Raven’s face into the ground. Raven lashed out with her claws, inflicting wounds on Alnette’s legs and forcing her to jump back. They stood apart glaring at each other. They moved towards the other, ready for round two when Jester ran between the two, clutching a burning red speedo on a stick. Behind him Samus ran cursing, awkwardly trying –and failing- to catch Jester and put pants on at the same time, trying to cover what was left bare by the missing speedo. Raven and Alnette stared at the chase. “I’m going to need eye bleach now” Raven said.

Alnette hooked her leg around Raven’s and pushed, knocking Raven to the ground. She placed her boot on Raven’s face, ignoring the claws aimed at her leg, and swung her sword downwards, neatly chopping Raven’s hair short and ragged. “I’m going to kill you” Raven spat at Alnette, trying unsuccessfully to get up. “Maybe tomorrow” Alnette replied, yawning and examining her nails as if Raven was nothing more than an annoyance. She then turned and strode out of the Dome in an elegant and victorious manner.

“Carpe Diem!”

Emma:

Emma pulled a book from its place on its shelf and sat down with it. She nestled herself into the chair and began reading, her fingers tracing the flourishing elegant script, tracing the illuminations on the pages. Her finger gently pulled the corner up as she turned the page, voraciously eating in the words and beauty contained in the pages. She reached the end of the book and stood up, placing the book back in its place. She was about to pull a new one off the shelves when a soft chiming began to echo throughout. Emma sighed, the bell signaling someone requiring her presence. She proceeded to walk to the door, her strides flowing, deliberate, and elegant.

She opened the door, about to make a comment when she realized no one was there. She looked down, seeing a thick book lying at her feet. The book was bound in strong black leather. One side had a representation of her pressed on it, the other; she saw as she picked the book up, looked like a Fool. She retreated to her chair, curious as to the contents of the mysterious book. She opened the cover to the first page, one that simply read “Lady Emma of Bainbridge presented by The Jester and the Narrator.” She turned to the next page to see a still of her and Samus locked in combat. Her finger brushed the page, the painting suddenly jumping to life, showing her the battle in its entirety. She pulled the finger away, the picture as still as if it had never moved. She went through this wondrous book, enjoying both her past winds and past losses, until she came to the first page without a picture. One thing had been gnawing at her; everything about the book had her feel, as if she herself had made the book. She tapped the page absently until she noticed an ink border that had not been printed on previous pages. She pressed her thumb against the page, the ink disappearing then reappearing as if the writer was writing it at that very second, the handwriting a short spiky script that had showed itself on the first page.

“This documentation is presented by the Narrator, with the assistance of one J.M.Blood, with the regards of one L.J.Blood, in the hopes the Lady Emma of Bainbridge would find pleasure within the covers, and continues her life happily thus filling the empty pages of this book. The Narrator also extends an invitation to a Masquerade, if the Lady is so inclined.” Emma smiled to herself, an envelope flittering from between two pages. The bell chimed again. Emma tucked the book under her arm as she answered the door to find Kaokie waiting. Kaokie looked at Emma and noticed the book she was carrying. “You too?” She asked, showing an almost identical book. Emma nodded “Are you going?” she asked in turn, referring to the Masquerade. Kaokie nodded herself “Jester will be there so I believe I am going to worm information from him, most likely with an ear-scratching” She said. Emma giggled slightly “Then we should go” she smiled.

"The Narrator extends his regards to all those that read this"

I've already said that I love your writing.
It is... well. I like your voice, as a writer. It's... nostalgic? Interesting?
I'm not sure how best to put it.

Kaokie:

Kaokie waited in the arena. It was to be a doubles math and everyone else was running late. She stamped a hoof impatiently. She began considering letting her partner fight alone when a wolf whistles sounded from behind her. She spun around to see Remus grinning. “You’re late” She said, trying unsuccessfully to glare at him. “I was enjoying the view” he replied. Kaokie blushed slightly “Just get up here” she said looking away. He hopped up and stood beside her. “Here they come” Kaokie said softly, footsteps coming towards them. Raven came into the arena, followed about 20 seconds later by Jester, who looked a little nervous at being partnered with Raven and fighting against Kaokie. “I’ll take Raven, you handle Jester” Remus said dashing forward. Kaokie nodded easily seeing the logic.

Jester muttered to himself as Kaokie drew closer to him. He opened his book and began speaking articulately and gesturing. Kaokie felt the spell start to take hold. A sleep spell she mused. She pulled her pan-flute out and began to play, the pan-flutes magic working much quicker. Jester began to stumble with his words, ruining his spell. He eventually collapsed onto the ground, his body sprawled on the arena floor. Kaokie knelt down beside him and began scratching his ears, effectively delivering the coup de grace. She pulled out some handcuffs (don’t ask where) and used them to bind a now sleeping Jester. Why Kaokie carries handcuffs around you may wonder? That would be a question to ask her, not me.

Kaokie stood up and looked over to see Remus on his back with Raven lying on top of him, her face near his. “He better be unconscious” she muttered to herself. She snuck silently on Raven from behind, pulled her upright, and delivered a kick that would easily kill a mortal. In Raven’s case she would be out cold for a few days. Kaokie noticed the bite marks on his neck and shook her head at how easily Remus had been defeated this time. She stood over him waiting for him to come around. Eventually he cracked an eye looking up at her. “Enjoying the view?” she teased slightly. “I always do, it’s quite a beautiful one” he replied. Kaokie blushed slightly at the compliment and smiled. She picked him up and carried him out.

A shadow appeared, one independent and attached to nothing. It slowly drew itself from the ground and opened a book, reading out loud the ending to the fight. He touched a quill to a second one, recording the fight in a book with a Faun pressed into one side. The shadow woke Jester and released him. “Deliver this to Kaokie” the shadow said, handing Jester a book and a rose “Be anonymous.” Jester nodded and set out on his test a little groggy. “So the dawn sets in dusk, the nightfall in coming to change all. A gift has been given, will she receive it. One chapter ends and another begins a new day. Stones are set, letters written, words are spoken and gifts are given. I invite you to join me on the new day, the new chapter to come.” The Narrator (for it is he) faded with the sunset, disappearing with the light.

scream bring them to me so they may feel the wrath of the Aether. Overall I liked it, but now I feel compelled to write about a series of engagements featuring the Ethereal Emperor. Does this count as Canon to the Empire? So yeah I liked the story, makes me want to go read the Saga of the Seven Suns again.
