I was wondering what the wonderful folks here have planned for their Samhain or Halloween celebrations.
During the day I will be burying the offerings from my shrine that have accumulated over the past year. As well as gathering leaves, flowers and gourds to decorate my altar with.
Early in the evening I will taking my daughter trick or treating, however once she is in bed I plan to have my celebration.
I am going to start with honoring my ancestors. I have some old family photos. While I would like to hold a dumb supper, I don't think I will have the energy or time this year to do so. Instead I am simply going to lay out a dish with salt, some fresh bread and a cup of apple cider for them.
I have two mini cauldrons that I will light tea light candles in and between them I will pass a photograph of my self as a symbolic cleansing.
Then I will clear the table and do a tarot reading for the year to come.
I plan to make pumpkin spice cookies with crystallized ginger pieces and have a spiced apple cider for my cakes and ale.
Feel free to share your plans or ideas for celebrating.
