hey i was thinking about this poem i wrote and for some reason something just not working for me so i thought maybe someone can help me...it could just be me though i am very critical of my work heart

Why there

Sitting alone, no one near
You come up, why do you care
Living in this life now, why bother
There is almost never anyone there
"Go away" I say "Go away"
But "no" you say -why there-

You take me back. For once we were a pair
Sitting now we start to stare,
Away from each others glare.
"What now " I whisper "What now"-why there-

Do you remember the way we flew up and up into the air.
But when we fell, we started to tear.
Now I don't see how that was fair
Standing up I silently scream
"Good bye, Good bye"-why there-

Leaving forever I stand by a mirror
Try as you may from my nightmare
Sitting alone once more, my mind elsewhere
Trying to stop the despair, of looking at me and finding you.
"Stop please stop" I wish "Stop please stop"-why there-

I like it, but the details are a tad flaky. I felt a touch lost at the end. I enjoied the dept, but the highlights, the crash down, and the mirror may need abit more detail. I loved the flow, felt the pain in the eyes as she looked to only see him.

I really liked this poem and I dunno if I helped or hurt, but keep up the writeing

I do have to say that I found the rhyme cheesy. You've got good concretes and stayed away from the etherial concepts. Poetry doesn't have to rhyme, as a matter of fact the best poems that I've heard don't. Read Robert Frost.
