PART TWWWWOOOO!!!!

Adonia saw all the adults in the room and felt as if the place was back into its scary, harmful state. As soon as her father bent down she let go of Evante's hand and rushed into his arms, tightly holding onto him so she would never have to let go. Her eyes went over to Lumaria and Saix, fear rising inside her. Quickly she buried her face into his neck and muttered, "Can we go home now? And...and can you read to me like you always do?"

Saix watched her wondering what her problem was. It just seemed weird...she seemed so terrified at the moment with her eyes closed tightly and the way she was burying herself into Genesis. "If you need anything more don't hesitate to ask."

Adonia clenched her fingers tightly into Genesis's clothes at the sound of his voice. She raised her head slightly and whispered in Genesis's ear, "We don't need their help anymore..."

Evante gave a small wave to her as they left before he turned to leave, hoping to escape from everyone else.

But Lumaria caught his shoulder neatly. "So, I want to know what everyone has planned for today so I can work accordingly."

Darkness looked at Lina before returning his eyes over to the adults, "Mom was going to spend the day with me, unless you want to do it another time."

"And I'm going to take Lina out for awhile to catch up on lost time."

Lumaria looked at Death and smiled, "Sounds wonderful, I think it'd be great for the kids to get some alone time. Things will be fine here with me...Siot, Veziell, and Evante."

Evante wasn't sure if he felt left out or not. He didn't want to spend time with any of the parents at the moment, but it seemed he was being directed toward Lumaria if the other two were off with Darkness and Lina.

"Everyone ignores you because they see their kids and their former partners. Yeah...I can see how that'd be a drag. I'm glad I gave up on Xemnas before he left, or else I'd be groveling at his feet right now. Pff. His kids need his attention more than I do."

Marluxia thought about that and almost felt ashamed about the situation. Xemnas always got the good ones first, didn't he?

What was he saying, he only had a friendship with Asi. Besides, he was more upset that his previous relationship was with Xemnas' daughter, of all people. God...he felt disgusted with himself. "Right. Relationships never work out in these worlds anyway, so why bother trying."

Asi nodded, "Yeah, amen to that." Asi leaned back into his chair and sighed, "I'm surprised there aren't communal children with this group, it feels like everyone has had a ride on Death or Don." His smile of pure joking lost itself as he looked over at Death, "Er. Sorry."

Marluxia shook his head, "I don't see why you should apologize when it's rather true. Even Larxene has had plenty of turns with everyone." Oh how he wished that spiteful b***h was his... "I think out of all the women Larxene is the one that really ruins it all for a person."

"Don't I know it." Asi sighed, "And let's not get started on Swan. She ******** people up."

Marluxia forgot all about her and snorted, "Oh jeez...." He shook his head, "We shouldn't talk about this, it'll come back to bite us in the a** later on, I can tell."

Asi shrugged and looked over at the younger Death, "At least we know that you're not going to follow in the steps of sluthood, right? We can trust that you're a one man, one commitment type of women, riiight?" As if pressuring her would solve things.

Genesis had scooped up his daughter and brought her into the car, and of course on cue it had started to drizzle softly. He wasn't sure what to say to her in the car as they both sat there in silent, listening to the windshield wipers hit back and fourth. Eventually they made it back to the house and they slowly entered into the house. He looked around, wondering where the younger Don was when he smelled something weird coming from the kitchen. He walked into the tiled floor and saw the mess he had made from earlier. He had forgotten all about what he had said in the morning. He looked back to Adonia. "Baby, can you go to your room and make daddy a nice pretty picture to put on the fridge?" He didn't want her to see the mess in the kitchen, or the talk he was going to have with younger Don wherever she was.

As Adonia left and Lumaria asked whatever was up to she looked over and smiled as it seemed Saix had made plans to be with Lina alone, mirroring her plans with Darkness. Her eyes turned down to Darkness as he said they could do it another time. She smiled and lifted up his chin, kissing him on the forehead. "Go get your rainboots, and I'll grab the umbrellas." She waited until the boy came back and eventually the two of them left together. Luckily it wasn't raining too heavely, just a light drizzle, which was stopped even more by the trees as they went for a walk.

Veziell watched as Darkness and Lina left with their parents, leaving him with Lumaria and Evante. He wasn't sure what to say, he only stood there as the house was silent and all that could be heard was the rain against the windows.

Lina looked at her father, waiting for him to instruct her to where they were going. She almost wondered why they weren't walking with their mother and Darkness.

Death looked back and fourth between the two of them as they backtalked her older self and then practically instructed her to not do the same thing. She shook her head. "No, I plan on not doing any thing like that until I'm married..." She paused though and looked at the two of them. "Though... was what happened to the other Death really her choice? You guys make it sound like she was a slut, but from what I heard... it just seemed more... less of her choice to have all those kids and stuff..."

Adonia rushed off to make him a picture, deciding she'd make him something nice. But as she sat there she couldn't think of anything. She stared around her room wondering what he would like when her mind sparked on the idea of LOVELESS. She could draw him the story!

She started to scribble it all out happily humming her favorite song her mom used to sing to her without even noticing it.

Don was, of course, still outside when it started to drizzle. She was lying in the grass listening to the crows when she sighed disappointed at the feeling of the rain on her. "Stupid rain." She sat up and watched the crows float over to a safer spot away from her. "Guh. It's always raining everywhere I go. Damn rain. Damn it all." She pushed herself up off the ground and brushed herself off, refixing her hood. Her eyes went to the skies, feeling the droplets of water land on her face. "I don't want your ******** pity!!" She yelled, "I just...I...just..." She dropped her eyes down to the ground, "I don't know what I want anymore." Don moved over to a dead tree that was knocked over. Gently she sat down and she slapped her hand to her face, "God, they say things happen for specific reasons...what's the reason for me being here?" Her eyes went up, "Your personal entertainment?" No response. "As I expected." She felt the rain start to get heavier and she rose once again, heading back toward the house. "That's all right, I can at least get dry where I'm going, right? Right? Ha. Watch the house already be burned down."

She found her way back and the house was perfectly fine, the Banora trees surrounding it giving the area a nice look. She went over to the door and opened it up, ready to head inside and pretend to stop existing again. Awesome, she LOVED doing that. Not.

"I think since they're gone you boys could watch a movie, how's that sound?" He noticed that Evante only gave him a pained look. "It won't be that bad, trust me." He pushed Evante to go toward the couch and he looked at Veziell, "It'll pass the time."

Darkness walked with his mother and looked up at her, giving a faint smile, "Mom...do you think Veziell will like living with us? I know Ixas did, but she didn't have any siblings. Veziell does..."

Saix walked with his daughter and his eyes went down to her, "Tell me, how has school been? Meet anyone interesting around these parts?"

"The children weren't really her choice...but it's somewhat her fault for the whole controversial issue about the men. She's wishy washy about what she wants. One boy could smack her and she'd find that attractive, and another would give her a romantic dinner and she'd find THAT attractive, then she'd rip herself apart on what she wanted to the point she'd give up and then run off with a third man that was completely irrelevant to the beginning equation, and then she'd get herself screwed over royally...and then fall in love with THREE men..." Marluxia sighed, "It wasn't only that, but one day she would say that she loved you, then the next she was in love with the other guy and you hardly knew why. It was just messy...a waste of time when no matter how hard you thought you could win her heart over, she secretly always liked one man over all the others. No, she'd never ADMIT it. She would never pick him and stick with it. She'd play the game of the mistress that bounces between them all, acting like a victim..."

Marluxia sighed, "Until finally she caused herself so much unneeded stress that she snapped. I'm surprised she didn't miscarry all of her kids, personally speaking."

Asi listened to how bitter Marluxia sounded. He really had been heartbroken from her. "Yeesh, that's a bummer. At least Larxene wasn't actually intersted in me. Hmm...come to think of it neither was Swan...or Xemnas..." He hesitated and sighed, that would be his luck...

"I'm glad the group time jumped. I feel bad for the kids, but I don't feel any remorse or pity toward her. She makes her own situations seem like the world has ended. It's selfish in a way." Marluxia rubbed his brow, "I might have ******** up in the pass, but I've come back as a different person and I want to show some support and help toward my son. I've really hurt him and I need to fix it. But she's...she's gone insane. I can understand why no one in their right mind would want to stay there. I'm not even sure why Saix is there aside for the kids. Hell, Lumaria is there, too."

Asi snorted, "That's because she's in debt to the guy."

"No, she's marrying Lumaria but half-pretending to be with Saix to help support the kids in a stable family relationship."

Asi nodded slightly before frowning, "That...makes no sense. That sounds like a ******** up family."

Marluxia shrugged, "I hope the kids turn out okay, it's hard to tell what's going to happen with them mentally now that their 'family' consists of two fathers and a crazed mother."

Genesis heard the door open and close, and by this time he had adjusted the table and chairs and had put all the dishes in the sink. His sleeves were rolled up and he was wearing a plain dark blue apron that was already wet. He arched his back to look towards the front door as he watched Don pass by. "What do you want for dinner." He asked her, he wasn't sure what to say to her, well he knew he should apologize, but at the same time... it was still hard to even look at her. He knew he had to adjust to it though, he didn't know anyone else that would or could take her in... but for Adonia's sake.. he'd have to get her out of the house. "I um... want to speak to you... about what we're going to do."

Veziell looked down at Evante who only looked very disatisfied about doing anything. Psh. He didn't lose a parent, ******** brat. He looked back at Lumaria and agreed to see a movie. He didn't remember much about Lumaria being anywhere in the group, it was weird how caring and nice he was to everyone. He was more of the mother of the house then Death was practically. It was like he did everything with just as happy of an attitude as Darkness... he went into the living room and sat down on the couch, as a movie was put in. Though he wasn't paying attention to it as he was in his own thoughts.

Death was walking slowly with Darkness as he was smiling. She listened to his question and thought about it as she picked up a leaf and swirled it in her fingers as they walked. "Hmm, well I hope he'll be happy with us. To me it didn't seem like he and Adonia are very close, at least not like you and your siblings are. Really, I think he'd rather be with Zexion, but maybe if we work hard on making him feel like he's one of us he can be happy."

Lina walked along the path, going in the opposite direction as Darknes and their mother, along the way she purposely stepped in the little puddles until her father spoke up. She looked up at him and then back to the ground. "People at school are okay. I dunno, I really enjoyed having Ixas around, it was nice having a sister, even if her and Darknes would leave me out sometimes." She kicked the diit. "For the past year things were almost HAPPY in the house after we adjusted to having Siot... and Lumaria helped significantly. But now it feels like... s**t just caved in."

Death listened to the way her older self was described and she felt almost GUILTY for it. As though SHE had done it. She crossed her arms and looked down as she continued to listen to how she broke his heart. "I guess I didn't hear that side of it. I don't get... why anyone would even like me like that, much less three guys. Not to mention not being able to pick one. I always told myself I just needed one man and no more than that. How did all that even happen? Why did all of you even love me... er her. I never considered myself... someone that a man could love romantically."

Don stood there momentarily and wondered what his plan really consisted of. He looked edgy, as usual, he'd probably explode at her at some point in time, and who the hell knows how that would turn out. She had a table thrown at her this morning!!

Okay, exaggeration, it was just tipped, but STILL. It freaked her s**t out.

"Um. Why don't you have dinner with Adonia and I'll skip town? I'm more of an obstacle than a helpful hand in your recovery process, to put it bluntly. And last thing I need is just...being mistaken for....yeah." She crossed her arms over her chest, "Besides, you almost killed me with a kitchen table this morning. I think I get the clue that my presence is just a vexing point for someone in your situation." Yeah, do the talking for him. He'd probably explode if he was forced to do it himself. "I bet I can find a place if I look hard enough, and if not I know how to camp outside. I'll uh...send you money or something to pay for the uhh..." she pointed at her broken arm, "Yeah." She turned then to head out, "Bye." Blunt as usual. She was hoping he wouldn't snap right then and there about it all, or have any type of a breakdown. That would be...shitty.

Adonia thought she could hear her out there but didn't move as of yet, still trying to finish up the drawing. Maybe both of them could appreciate the drawing together since they both liked LOVELESS so much?

Saix nodded, "Yeah...I can understand how things were going smoothly. I mean, you didn't have anything unexpected going on. Right now everything is just a jumbled mess. It'll get better..." Saix stared at the trees gathering the water droplets that soon fell from the leaves and splashed against the cement. "It must be upsetting to lose Ixas like that, but you'll see each other in school quite a lot. Also...now you have Veziell at home. Once he starts to recover from the death I know he'll get back into his normal behavior. I noticed you two enjoy hanging around each other..." Yes, father knew best.

Marluxia shook his head, "I'm...not sure anymore. She was so...nice and befriending in the beginning, it felt like we connected. Now when I see her I just see a crazy woman." He looked over at her, "You should give yourself more credit. Men don't like girls that aren't confident about who they are."

"Yeah, personality and confidence are the two greatest combos." His eyes went over to Marluxia, "Of course, confidence doesn't always mean ego. Like Marluxia for example, he's modest but confident."

"Oh please," Marluxia remarked trying to find someone to better fit the category.

"See?" Asi flicked his lovely blue hair to rest on his back, "Though if you're looking for potential mates at any time I would suggest staying faaaar away from anyone in the group. Maybe someone's kid. Like Davien. He's got his father's looks and twice the brains."

"No. No. Don't EVER choose someone's kid as something to go after. It's weird."

Asi wondered why he was disagreeing before he smirked evilly, "Oooh right. Pinky here is speaking from experience."

"It all happened on accident. I was love drunk from all the other eras we had gone through. I had JUST finished being a pharaoh with a bunch of wives, you cannot turn that one against me." Marluxia defensively turn his attention away. "Besides, we said we were going to get off of this subject..."

"But it started to get interesting," Asi remarked, giving the figure a soft punch.

He quickly turned off the running water as the girl was getting serious in her conversation. He took off his apron and moved closer to her as she said she'd pay him back for the doctor's visit. "Now wait." He went foreward and grabbed her other wrist, he attempted to pull her back to face him but in the process in addition with her clumsyness she fell up against him. The two stood there for a moment, breathing in each other's scent and he admired her eyes, noticing they were much brighter than her older's self. He finally focussed on her and straightened himself up. "I am not throwing you out in the street, I know... I acted crazy this morning, and I apologize. I do agree that being in this house is not... safe for any of us. I can't promise I won't act like that again, the grief and dillusion might come to me at any point. Adonia still thinks you're her mother... and I think that could really scar her if she gets too attached to you. I'll make some phone calls and arrange for you to stay somewhere else, even if that means putting you in a hotel, but I am not going to put you into the street." He finally pulled away from her and was about to go to the phone when he paused and looked back. "I don't want you to think I don't like you, I was growing rather fond of you before, I just... if I develop any new feelings for you now I won't know if it's because I like you, or if it's left over grief from losing her."

Lina looked up at her father and quickly looked back at the ground, trying to cover her blushing about her and Veziell enjoy being together. She trusted herself so much with Veziell, he was always there for her. She wasn't sure why they got along so well, maybe it was because they were both the oldest... not including Davien and Eseril... "Daddy... what did you do while you were gone the past two years? Were you with that other woman that looks like mom?"

Death and Darkness continued their walk and she noticed he had gotten quieter, maybe he was just thinking about Veziell. She felt bad for what she had put Darkness through, especially since a long time ago it was only supposed to be the two of them and his real father. She hated that man, more than anyone, more than Marluxia. She was so decieved by him, she was lucky Darkness didn't ask about him or want him in their lives... What made Marluxia's situation so hard was he pinned a lot of things against her, and it seemed the two of them could never really reconcile what had happened. Had it not been for Ansem, they would have been together from the start... now he despised her, and she was practically doing the same thing all over again. Marrying a man because she had to more than loved him. Sure, she adored Lumaria, but it wasn't really that kind of love. Ugh, her life was a mess, and because of that she was screwing up the lives of everyone else that was around her. She noticed the two of them had fallen silent and she knew she needed to break the ice. She bent down and picked up a gob of mud, holding in her hands a moment before she called out her son's name. As soon as he turned around she whipped the handful at his chest, watching it splatter. She started to laugh at his adorable wtf expression.

Veziell only go through the first twenty minutes of the movie before he got up and went into the kitchen. He saw Lumaria preparing things while he held Siot on his hip. "Is... there anything... I can do to help, I don't feel like watching a movie." He said softly. He soon came up to the counter as Lumaria had given him a small task. He started to chop up some vegetables and he looked over at Lumaria as the man seemed insanely pleased with what he was doing. He looked back at the cutting boared and was about to open his mouth before he debated whether to ask his question or not. "How come... uh... I was wondering... why... are you still here?" He looked up at the man. "Now that Lina's dad is back, how come he and her mom aren't rebuilding where they left off?"

Death looked back and fourth at the two men, almost as if they were FLIRTING. Story of her life. She shuddered as they brought up Davien. "That would be too awkward. Extremely awkward. I don't think I will be going after anyone, I don't 'go after men' I wait for them to come after me." That sounded... confident right?

Don went from contemplating the places she could go to feeling very embarrassed that they collided like that. It was such an awkward moment, yet a nice one, too. She had noticed some things about him that she had never noticed before..but maybe that was because he had never been real until now. The closeness was soon forgotten as he had pulled himself toward the phone.

He....was growing fond of her? COOL! Men never grew fond of her! Ahem. Keep your mind on the correct subject, girl. "Wait." She hesitated. Why was she making him wait? He just needed to get away from her...or something. "Um. Who...were you...going to call? I mean, are you sure this is a good idea?" She hesitated once more. "I...I mean not that I doubt your thinking or anything, but uh..." Just spit it out already.

"If Adonia is growing attached to me...I don't think her problem will resolve if I just vanish for....however long I need to leave. Because if I do come back ever at some point or something...then...she'd still think of me that way. Kids don't realize those things." At least she couldn't imagine Adonia figuring it out anytime soon. "And the same kind of applies to you. Not in the same way, but... if I leave and you recover, me coming back might just send you back into a relapse." She glared slightly to the sky, "Wow, I sound like I'm a curse or something." Her eyes went back to him, "What am I saying...you're probably right and I'm just overreacting." Right? Right.

Adonia appeared at her door, though she couldn't see Don from where she was standing. "Daddy, I finished the picture you wanted!" She held up the piece of paper, "It's about the three boys that go into battle!"

Don smiled slightly at her words. One was captured, one flew away, and the one that was left became a hero. Wow, sad that she found this amusing...

Saix looked down at her and nodded, "At first it was just the normal group of Organization members, but Xemnas...went crazy. You see...we lost our hearts when we jumped into the new era and had lost everything. We thought that we had to start all over, and Xemnas was determined to erase all of those memories away. He...wanted to kill Death and Don. But his attempt failed, and we ended up befriended them. What we didn't know was that this era is still co-existing with the one we were in...."

He looked up at the sky, "For us only a few months passed.....for you it was two years. Though we gained our hearts back and enjoyed staying back at our castle...we all knew that we missed you. So..Xigbar and Luxord found a way to time warp back here. I'm not sure how they did it...but I'm glad to be back. I missed you a lot."

Darkness stared at the mud on his shirt before grabbing up his own sludgy mess and throwing it at her. He started to chuckle as the mess was all over her side. "Everyone is going to think we fell in a big mud puddle by the looks of it." He pulled a twig out of the one on himself and smiled at her, "Mom, before it gets cold...I think one of these days we should have a picnic in the park." He wanted to bring up a different subject, but didn't have enough guts to even ask her about it. He was afraid he'd make her cry, and he just wanted to see his mom be happy for once. Bringing up the subject about his own father would probably stress her. It wasn't like he wanted him or anything, he was just curious what happened.

Lumaria looked over at Veziell and smiled, "Well, Lina's mother and I are actually getting married. Since we've been together for two years a relationship stemmed between us. But we find it helpful that Saix stays as well because the kids love him very much. I'd never want to deny Lina access to her father."

Evante listened to that and wished he could scream 'bullshit' at them. Sure, they couldn't deny Lina her father...but his was completely different.

He stared at the movie as it went on, seething hate toward everyone around him. They all were against him. WHY? It was as if he wasn't ever meant to be in this family.

Asi shook his head at Death, "Aw come on, you have to at least sell yourself to people to make people come after you."

Marluxia frowned, "Only if you want to make it on the clearance shelf. I think what she's doing is perfectly acceptable. All you have to do is be friendly with people, not come out and claim you're single to everyone you meet."

Asi shrugged, "I suppose. I'd just...find it more appealing if the person I was interested would participate in the interaction."

"Well, look at the people you've been with. I think your way is really causing you more grief..." Marluxia folded up the napkin he had been using.

"You sound like you're a master at seducing people over to you."

"I wouldn't necessarily call it that..." Marluxia finally looked up at him, "I haven't had the best of luck either. I just think your approach has been more to capture someone's attention because you want someone to notice you.....of course they notice your looks, not necessarily your personality, which is why you haven't had the correct relationship. You get confused over what they really like about you."

Asi stared at him like Marluxia had just revealed to him all the secrets of the world. He thoughtfully pondered it over before speaking up. "So...how will I figure out the difference?"

Marluxia smiled, "Patience. If they wait long enough you'll know." His eyes went over to Death, "Anyway, I'm wondering what you have in store for us today..." His eyes returned back to Asi, "Anything entertaining as we hang out in your lovely mansion?"

Patience....that's all he needed? Hmm... "Depends on what you like doing. There's a swimming pool, a hot tub, there's exercise machines, video games, computers...a room to paint in, a garden that's indoors and outdoors..."

"Just about anything we could ever dream of, huh?"

"Well...I get bored and need something to occupy myself."

Genesis was about to say something back to Don when Adonia had come down with the drawing already. Jeez she drew fast. He wanted to keep talking to Don about the situation. Instead he picked the little girl up and looked at the drawing. "It's a very wonderful rendition, almost how I pictured it myself." He said as he looked at the squiggles. He walked over to the fridge and placed it on there, making sure it was lined just right. Crap, now he needed to occupy her in some other way, but he wasn't sure how. Don did everything with Adonia while he read... how did she do it? WAIT that was it. "Adonia, didn't you want me to read your favorite story when we got home? Why don't you go get it and I'll come into your room and read it once I'm done here." He pushed her gently out of the room and waited until he heard her run up the stairs and close her door. He looked back at Don and turned towards the phone again. "I think having you stay somewhere else would still be easier since by the time we both do run into each other again, both Adonia and I shall be able to differentiate that you're not my wife."

Death was laughing at the mud on her own clothes as she walked over to the river and washed off her hands in the cool water. She stood up and flicked her hands a bit to dry them off before hearing Darkness question. "I think that is a very wonderful idea. Perhaps tomorrow all of us could do it if the weather provides." Finally they came to a little clearing where she took a seat on a log and held the umbrella as she watched the water rush by. "You know, babe... you've been pretty quiet about everything the past week, I feel like we've been making all these decisions about your lives without consulting you. Lumaria and I together, Veziell staying and Ixas leaving... tell me, are you okay with it all?"

"I missed you too." Lina said softly. "It was really hard adjusting to you being gone at first, especially when momma found out she was having Siot. I think I heard her crying just about every month for a while. I was surprised she missed you so much, to be honest. Since before you left you and her weren't together. Finally about a month before Siot was born I think she realized she couldn't take care of us all on her own. Originally I heard her planning on asking Darkness' father for help. I'm not sure if she ever asked him or not... but eventually Lumaria started coming over to check up on us and finally he moved in." She started sniffling. "All of us grew really attached to having him around... it really helped momma get over being alone too... but... I didn't think he'd end up replacing you!" She eventually clung to him and burried her head into his side. "I know it's selfish of me... but why can't you and her ever be happy together without someone else in way?"

Veziell listened to Lumaria's calm and rational explanation and he scrunched up his nose. "It... sounds a lot like what happened to my father. He just... got pushed out of the picture because of Genesis." He hissed. He started to see Lumaria in another light suddenly, as if HE was the evil step-father, just like Genesis was to him. "Have either of you even considered Saix' feelings in this?" He snapped.

Death listened to the two of them back and fourth and she sighe dreamily at the activities they had in the house. "Asi, we should get married so I can live here forever." This place was a total dream.

Don heard her scurrying away and found that this was it. She was booted out for who knows how long...

Years, probably. Adonia hardly understood what death was, she'd probably never grasp the concent that she was a different person. Oh well, not like she wanted to stay here anyway. In fact, she was supposed to find a way to get out of here, right? Right. She'd find Luxord and Xigbar by herself and then ask them nicely. They couldn't refuse her, right? Of course. "Do as you see fit." Wasn't like she had any say anyway.

She turned from him then and moved closer to the window, getting a glance out the window to the skies that continued to shower rain everywhere. ******** doom and gloom everywhere. She breaks her arm, has her older self killed, loses the one guy she really trusted, AND was now out of a comfortable house with a somewhat decent guy. What was next, dining with a demon or something? She couldn't wait to hear what poor, unfortunate soul had to deal with HER all of a sudden. How would that even go over in a phone conversation? 'Hey, take care of this woman because she's too close to my wife.' What a nice favor to ask for. Only some sap would actually take that bullshit to heart, and she couldn't imagine Genesis having any friends that were kindred spirits. Hell, not after everyone refused to help find Evante. Jesus, this place was filled with selfish bitches. With her luck she'd get stuck with the one person that had always hated Don's guts from the beginning, and that hatred would then be released onto HER since she was the only one alive.

Who would hate someone like HER though? She was so...nice it was weird. She HATED people. How the hell did she get happy like that? Well whatever, got her killed anyway..

God, what a terrible thought.

Darkness nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine with it. I just want everyone to be happy, and if this works out then....there's no reason to complain." He sat beside her and dug his heel into the ground, trying to muster some courage for the subject. He finally decided he should bring it up. "Mom...I was just wondering..." He pushed some of his hair back out of the way, bracing himself for any type of emotional impact that it might cause her. "I know Evante's been crazy about Marluxia for a long time and that it creates a lot of strain on everyone since he's not seeing that we're his family or what we mean to him.... but...it kind of made me wonder about my dad as well. I just want to know what happened that made him fall out of contact with us...I don't really care to see him or be with him because I love you and Lumaria and Saix. I guess I'm just concerned that...something bad happened...but I know you would have told me if something did."

Of course, Darkness didn't know that Ansem had lost contact with him because he no longer cared for him as a son. Darkness had no powers or anything of use to Ansem, so he quickly abandoned him and his family to start a better one.

Saix held onto her and did his best to comfort her, "Just because I'm not marrying your mother doesn't mean we don't want to be together. Lumaria...has reasons for marrying her, and I see it from his stand point. But...your mother and I are still together and we're very close. Just because Lumaria is staying around doesn't mean it'll separate us." He brushed her hair back, "I'll make sure that nothing ever gets between us ever again...and we'll have a good family."

Saix smiled slightly and continued to comfort her, thinking about what she said about Ansem. The man didn't help. He could imagine that she did go to him and received nothing. After Ansem found out about Darkness's lack of skills of course the man abandoned the entire situation altogether.

"We talked about it thoroughly and Saix agreed that as long as he could stay and be around the kids that he didn't mind. I wouldn't have pushed it if either of them weren't happy about the results. It's my job to give people what they want..." and get back a wonderful payment in return.

Asi smirked at her comment before he shrugged. "I'm sure once you get a grasp of things around here you'll find a place much better than this. No one is ever poor here...at least I haven't found anyone like that during my stay. And besides, this isn't even the best house in town."

"Who has the best one?" Marluxia questioned. He had never really thought about a house being better than the one they were in right now.

"Sephiroth's of course. Swan and him are drowning in money it seems. Of course....the richest couple can't even fix whatever is wrong with their kid."

"You mean Rathe? I remember they took him in...what's wrong with him?"

"Nah, nothing about him. They had another kid that's about... 2 or something. Can't speak at all. Wild as ever." Asi motioned for his plate to be taken away and gave a small stretch, "They haven't hired any babysitters...no one can handle him. It's the devil's child I'm telling ya."

Marluxia gave a small nod, "It...did come from Sephiroth and Swan." He hesitated, "You know, I'm...curious about Rathe though. Remember when he was younger everyone feared him? Has he suddenly become passive or something?"

"I don't know, the kid seems very well-behaved. I doubt there's anything to worry about." He rose and waved his hand, "Now stop worrying so much and have some fun. I have to make a few phone calls, if you need me I'll be in my room."

Marluxia watched him move off before his eyes turned to Death, "Well...I suppose he's right. No sense in worrying over silly things like that..."

But things were just starting to get warmed up at Rathe's house. He sat in his room and was reading a book, taking notes on it carefully when he heard more crashing going on downstairs. He seethed with anger as it seemed the brat had gone off to make more noise to interrupt his concentrations.

He HATED him. Rathe stood up and went to the stairs, heading down them halfway to stare out over the child as he was free again and playing with cabinet doors. He wished everything would fall on him. Everything. He wanted all the glass and china to break and hurt him. If only he'd tug harder.

Rathe kept staring. Tug...harder. He wished the boy would pull hard onto the doors and tip the whole thing...

Sephiroth entered into the room finally to stop him, but even his long strides weren't quick enough to stop the tumbling glasses that started to smash as they fell down and collided into each other. He shielded the child as best as he could and glanced back at the empty hutch, the area completely covered in shattered pieces. His eyes went down to the babe that was now in tears, cuts here and there on him. How could he even pull that hard? His attention went toward the stairs and saw Rathe heading back up, disappearing again.

Maybe...

He picked up the child and moved toward the bathroom to fix him up, "Don't cry, it won't make it any better." He looked toward the door, "Swan, I need your help!" Some glass seemed to have imbedded itself into the poor thing.

Rathe was back in his room holding his door closed. Did...he do that? No, it was only wishful thinking. There was no harm behind any of it...

But...what if it was him?

He had picked up the phone but hadn't dialed it as he looked over at the depressed Don. He turned the phone off and walked up to her, placing his hand on her shoulder, to comfort her. He bent forward and whispered in her ear. "If it weren't for Adonia I would have adjusted myself and had you stay here." He stood back up and looked at the phone, an idea popping into his head. This WAS Don right? Who was to say that they were different people? They had jumped so many era's that maybe in this one she just didn't remember anything. Maybe that is why the other Don died, so he could be with this one... If... he was with her, no one would ever know the difference right? It would be like she never left...

Death was spinning the umbrella a bit when she stopped as Darkness asked his question. She let out a small sigh and looked over at him, she wrapped her arm around his shoulder and pulled him close, rubbing his arm a bit before turning to look at him directly. "I think you deserve to know the truth Darkness... I'm not going to keep what happened to Ansem a secret anymore." She distinctly said Ansem, and not HIS father. She cleared her throat and tried to word it as softly as she could. "He doesn't care about either of us anymore, and I wonder if he ever did. I realized some time ago that all he wanted from us was a child who could carry on his abilities. You remember how powerful your father was and he wanted a child just like him. But I can't use magic... and because of that... neither can you. As soon as he realized that you couldn't... he decided he'd rather be with a different woman, one that was just as powerful as him..." She looked over at the boy as he was silent. "I had gone to him when I was having Siot... I begged him to come and help me raise all of you, even if he didn't love me, at least to be there for you, his son... and he turned me down. I didn't want you to know what he is like, or that he may have never loved either of us, so I never told you until now." She looked at him, hoping he wouldn't be devastated, but that he probably was. "Darkness, even if you COULD use powers... he wouldn't love you for you, he'd be attached to the abilities... and I don't want you to think that it's your fault he left, because it's not. He has had the chance to come by and visit you at anytime, but it's been his choice not to."

Lina was silent as she listened to his comforting words. She sighed and continued to walk with him, unsure of what to say to him after that. "Daddy... is it terrible of me to say that I'm still afraid you'll leave momma or me again?" She looked up at him.

Veziell continued to chop up what he was doing slowly, when another question soon popped up into his head. "Well... what is it that YOU want?"

Death listened to them talk about some child she didn't know who he was, and about some chick named Swan. Odd imagining Sephiroth with someone. Swan sounded like a really terrible mary-sue of the absolute worse kind. But her train of thought was halted when she was told not to worry. Uh, she wasn't worried at all but okay. "So, what should the two of us do now, hm?"

It took no time at all for Swan to come up into the bathroom when her name was called. She rushed over and looked at the crying bloody child. "What happened?" She asked curiously as she started to get the items needed to manage it all. She kneeled next to her husband as he restrained the kid in his arms while she got the tweezers and took out as many pieces as she could. "Hmm.... perhaps we should take him to the doctor."

Don stared at him like he was going way too far out of his way for her. "Nah, you shouldn't have to adjust yourself around me, especially at a time like this. Just call whoever, I'll be fine...and I'm sure you'll recover much faster." In a way she almost felt guilty that she wanted to stay. The guy probably would suffer unknown stress problems if she did.

Darkness was still utterly shocked at the information. He looked away from her and thought about it. Ansem...never loved him? It was a hard concept to grasp. He remembered being held by him...it felt like love...

He only wanted him to be powerful? It...felt really weird to know that. He wasn't sure if he was glad or not that his mother told him such things. "I..." he looked at her finally. "I...can't believe he'd ignore us because of that..." Now he could feel some hate going toward him. It was a stupid reason to have a kid...and to get rid of one just as easily. "I'm...glad you didn't stay with him. I'm glad that Saix is back. It always seems like he is the only one that has ever cared about us, no matter our potential...or who we came from..." Darkness turned to face her more, "Why aren't you marrying him? I like Lumaria...but...Saix knows us better it seems..."

Saix shook his head, "It's a rational fear. I'd never purposefully leave you or your mother ever. Things might pull us apart but I will never give up in returning to you. Just remember that." He set a comforting hand on her shoulder, "And..I think things are going to settle down finally. I'm not sure why...but it's a gut feeling. If we ever time jump again or get forced to do so...I'll make sure you never part from me."

Lumaria smiled, "I enjoy the family aspect and the interaction. I love Death a lot, and her kids are wonderful. I respect Saix as well. You see, I don't mind if they continue onward as a family...but I enjoy being a part of it. Death came to me for a specific reason and said that when the time comes I could have whatever I wanted. I picked her because I like it here with these people. She didn't fight it. She could have...but she didn't. She's content as well. The kids need as much support as they can get..."

Lumaria gently turned to face him, "Besides, if Saix ever vanishes again she'll need support. It's possible that something might pull him away without us knowing..."

Marluxia thought over the list that Asi had mentioned before he gave a slight smile, "Not to sound typical but...I want to see this 'indoor garden' he was talking about. Asi doesn't seem like the type to care for gardening, so...I wonder what kind of plants he might have. You can join me if you want, unless you're not into such things. It's understandable, most people think plants are pointless."

Sephiroth felt the boy struggle weakly in his arms. It couldn't have been his own fault for the glass breaking...could it? "He was playing close to the hutch. I noticed he was opening up the cupboards a few times, but when I came in to tell him to play with something else all the glasses came crashing down on him." He rubbed the boy's stomach to calm him, "I don't think he caused it to fall, though. He's not strong enough to do that." His eyes went up to her, "I'll check it out later...let's get him wrapped up in a towel and get him to the doctor's." He rose and pulled out one of the less fancier towels before gathering him up inside it, the boy's face was still covered in tears and some blood. He gently wiped it up with a tissue and cradled the boy into him, heading to the hallway. His eyes went back up the stairs and noticed Rathe was still missing. "Rathe! We'll be back soon we're taking your brother to the doctor!" He knew the boy had heard him and he moved past the broken glass and mess that was all over the floor. Seems that was another thing he'd have to replace, wasn't it?

Rathe heard them leave and he went over cautiously toward the window, watching them drive away with the bundle in their hands. "I wonder...if...I really did do it...does that mean I can do other things as well?"

Rathe turned to look at his room, "Like...hide a friend in here?" But how could he do that...

He needed to target someone...or some people...

Death looked down at her boy as he was angered at Ansem, and declared that he didn't want her to marry Lumaria. She thought about the answer. "Im... not sure..." she looked down and fiddled with her hand when she realized she already HAD a wedding ring. She stared at it and slowly slipped it off her finger, looking at the inscription inside that had her and Saix' name... she started to laugh, as she put the ring back on and looked over at him. "You know... I had completely forgotten I'm ALREADY married, to Saix. I don't think we ever got divorced dispite him leaving." She forgot that when they came to this world her and him were already together, skipping through all the uneeded planning. "I don't think Lumaria or him even remember that..." Solved that issue?

Genesis looked at her as she was determined to let him do as he saw fit and he decided not to argue it anymore. "I need to do what's best for Adonia." The phone then clicked on and it was like every button he pressed made his heart beat faster as he knew that he could not be with her despite what he wanted.

Death's cell phone soon rang and she answered it in the middle of the forest with her son. "Hello?"

"Death..." He looked over at Don and decided that he shouldn't ask the questions in front of her. He soon stepped out of the room. "I... need to find a place for Don to stay."

"She can't stay with us. I already have a full house." She said quickly.

"No, I know, but I was wondering if you knew of any others...." He said softly.

"Well, Marluxia took my younger form with him to Asi's. I'd suggest calling there, that way the two of them could be together, or else, Luxord or Xigbar. After all they caused this, shouldn't they get some of the punishment?"

Punishment? He didn't think having Don was a punishment. "Right thank you." The two of them hung up and he looked at his phone, wondering if he should call them. He didn't want the others taking in Don only because they HAD to as a punishment....

Death hung up the phone and looked over at Darkness, brushing his hair back. "Are you okay? I know what I said was hard to hear... but... I didn't want you to wonder about it or hope he'd come back sometime..."

"That's true... I didn't think about th eidea of them leaving again... like my father did." He finally finished chopping what he was doing and handed the man the knife.

Lina scuffed her feet against the ground. "Yeah... I suppose..."

Death perked up considerably. "Ooh, that sounds fun, I like gardens. Even if I never know what the plants are half the time." She got off her seat to follow him to find it. "The fact it's inside makes it sound even more enchanting."

Darkness smiled at her, "No, I'm fine. I was just curious...and I'm glad you told me." He hugged her, "Thanks mom...for...everything. I feel bad that you have to take care of all of us. I..I want to help out more. Even if Saix can help. I just want to make sure everyone is all right again...the way things were."

Lumaria looked over at him and gently took the knife and items he had cut, mixing them in with whatever he was making. "I think your father was strategizing. He's not a fool, and he wouldn't put himself into a situation that he couldn't get out of. He'll be back...I'm sure of it."

Saix watched her posture before smirking, "Now come on, let's cheer up. I'll buy you something to eat if you're hungry, how's that sound?"

Don took a seat on the couch for a moment hoping it'd all be over with soon enough. But as she sat down she noticed Adonia came downstairs with LOVELESS in hand. She froze in her spot hoping the child couldn't see her but the big blue eyes went directly toward her on the couch. Instantly she rushed over and got up beside her, handing LOVELESS over. Don stared at it unsure of what to even say.

"I want you to read it to me," she remarked, settling in beside her, "You've never read it to me before, just daddy has. I think you can do just as well."

Don stared at the thing like it was ancient. She prodded it open and looked down at Adonia, "Well...um...I'll try." She stared at the first poetic sentence and did her best at reading, years of acting and speech helping her make it livlier.

"When the war of the beasts bring about the world's end,
The Goddess descends from the sky

Wings of light and dark spread afar
She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting."

Adonia smiled as she read and nodded, "Keep going, you're getting to the good part."

Oh man, if Genesis heard this going on she'd probably get karate chopped or something. "All right."

Marluxia got up and walked with her toward the garden area, surprised that it really was more enchanting than ever. "This is...beautiful." His eyes went about the room and noticed all the plants in it, how wild and free they were. His eyes caught onto the exotic species that bloomed largely around the area, and the vines that seemed to crawl throughout the walls and entertwine with everything else. It was majestic. It made Marluxia love Asi for the very fact that he had a really great garden. "I would have never thought he'd be this wonderful with plants..."

Death and Darkness finally entered into the house, smelling the aroma of the meal come to them. They were both just about caked in mud as after their heart to heart moments another war broke out. She walked into the kitchen where Saix was playing with Siot, and Lumaria was just about finishing the meal. She watched Darkness run off to join the other kids playing a video game in the living room and she looked at the two men. "Um... while I was with Darkness today I had made a realization that might affect our deal Lumaria..." She said, figuring now was the opportune time to tell them about the ring. She looked at the blue haired man as he looked up curiously too. "I can't... marry you Lumaria, I had forgotten that Saix and I were already married, and have been all this time. While he did vanish we never divorced or anything... so... he and I are still married."

Lina was sitting on the couch, watching Evante and Veziell fight violently and insanely competitively. While they were gone she almost wondered if they... had a rivalry going on? She looked over as Darkness had finally come back and she smiled at him. "Have a good time with momma?"

Death and Marluxia had walked all over the inside gardening, she'd point out any flower that looked like it was dying just to watch him revive it. She'd ask about what the names of the plants were and eventually the two of them found a rocking bench behind a water fountain they sat at.

Genesis had gone through and called Asi, but he was busy so he asked him to call him back. He didn't call anyone else as he figured maybe Asi would be the best place for her to go to since Death would have already been there. Dinner was ready and he called the girls to the table, never finding out that Don was reading loveless to Adonia.

Saix was surprised at her realization. Even he had forgotten about it, perhaps because there was no ceremony or anything that bound them together. His eyes went over to Lumaria, wondering what he'd do now instead. He couldn't marry the girl, and it'd mean a lot of pain for him to force a divorce or anything... Maybe they got out of this one easier than they thought?

But Lumaria had other plans that far exceeded the thoughts that Saix had. He looked at the ring on her finger and tapped his finger to his lips, the thoughts going through his mind being anything but enjoyful for the other two. He smiled finally, "Oh...well I suppose there's only one way to fix that."

Saix didn't like his expression. What...was he planning? "So...tell us your idea."

"Simply put...if she's married to you then she has to be with me all the time. I want her...every single night."

Saix thought things couldn't have gotten worse, but Lumaria obviously disproved that point. He glared at him angrily and rose, "You can't."

"I can and will. She owes me...I guess she'll just have to repay me through some wonderful physical activity. It's a pity that she made the realization for you I suppose..." He smirked, "And you can't refuse....unless you want to be the one doing all the repaying."

Saix wanted to tell him '******** no' but knew he should show some support toward Death. "How....long will this payment last?"

"Two years."

"Bullshit."

"I think it's pretty fair. For every day spent taking care of the kids is a night consisting of being with me. I could make it much stricter...every hour spent with the children is an hour she has to spend with me. Would you rather have it that way?" He noticed the glare on Saix's face deepen. "I didn't think so."

Darkness looked at her and nodded, "Yeah...she told me a few things that have been going on and whether I was all right with it. It was nice, she seemed really happy to be spending time one-on-one. I mentioned that we should have a picnic soon. And..." his eyes went over to the other two that were being competitive and what not. He grabbed onto Lina's arm and pulled her off to the side, "Mom said that she already was married to our dad...so...we don't have to worry about Lumaria anymore. I mean, he's a nice guy...but things feel so much better knowing that we really are a family right now." Though he didn't know what Lumaria's true plans were.

Marluxia sat with her as they had small conversation when he felt hands grasp over his eyes. "Hmm...let me guess...Asi?"

Asi let go and came forward in front of him, "Of course. Hey, I was just setting up a few things with my agent when Genesis left me a message. Do you think he's in trouble or something?"

"Did you call back and check?"

Asi stared at him before shaking his head, "No?"

Marluxia sighed at his reaction. "Right. You should call him back, I think that would solve that question."

He stared at him for even longer before frowning, "Well what if he asks me something I don't know how to respond to?"

It was entertaining to Marluxia that Asi was so clueless. He rose and smiled, "I'll talk to him, how's that sound?" Yes, do the meaningless chore for him. His eyes went to Death, "Thanks for joining me on the walk." He started to move out, pulling out his own phone to dial Genesis's number.

Don sat at the table with Adonia and Genesis, toying with her a food a bit as her attention was brought to the center of the table. She knew she should be enjoying the meal and having conversation, but instead she couldn't bring herself to say much. Adonia had made her read through a large chunk of the damn book and she was already growing tired of it. It was weird that Adonia enjoyed it that much. Maybe it wasn't the concept of the reading at all...just hearing a person's voice maybe? Well whatever...it was still a long read.

Adonia ate her food happily as she looked at her dad, "The lady and I had a good time while you were making food, daddy. I wish you could have been there." Her eyes went over to Don and she smiled at her. "She's good at reading. She makes the story sound just as pretty as you do, daddy."

Don snapped out of her zoned state and looked over at Adonia when the phone rang. The girl thought she read pretty? That was....well...good to hear at least.
