In the distance looms a doorway surrounded by dead branches, which leads to a huge oak door that clashes again and again from a spectral wind. You recall that for a long time there was no one around to care for this old building, an extension of the Durem Theatre which now serves as a hotel.

Upon entering, the musty smell and rough texture of the red carpet overwhelms your senses, and a film of brown dust blankets the entire environment. The first thing you notice is the enormous chandelier that decorates the lobby. Another interesting aspect of the room is the huge grandstand railing, of Art Nouveau style, which is also made of oak and whose surface is covered by the same red carpet. Ascending the stairs, you can hear the creak of wood as it nearly collapses beneath your feet due to the acquired mold and mildew from many broken windows. Every step you take releases a scent of putrefaction that permeates the North Wing.

One notary window at the end of the hallway beckons you forward, shaded by wrinkled curtains and half-broken by the elements. Within the glass move ghostly shadows, recounting a tragic mystery or possibly a happy past. As you continue down the hall you notice the hotel has a strange numbering system, starting at 111 and skipping any number that contains a four.

Every door is preceded by a marble table containing a ceramic vase and dried flowers, and every few feet a beautiful painting adorns the walls. It is rumored that these paintings change if there is new moon, whose light falls through the cracked window of wind-whispered secrets. The rooms themselves are simple but classy, maintained well, and quite cozy. The suites are worthy of bragging rights, if you have the money, and the entire area holds an aura of mystery.

Need to head to bed for the night? Feel free to claim a room or suite!

" I saw one Leave this room." Says the dirty looking one with a robotic smile.
"I see them coming out of the pictures....do you?" Asks the other, who reaches out to you, looking utterly lost.
They start walking together, their footsteps silent, not even the barest rustle of carpet. They break only briefly to walk around you, then open the door to suite 252.
"Good night...." They croak, and shut the door behind them.

User ImageFinoewae stumbled, exhausted, into the wing. After knocking on a couple of doors trying to find an empty room, she finally reached 186. It was odd, but it just felt like the right room to occupy.

The old door creaked open in an almost welcoming manner, and Finoewae promptly shut it behind her and crawled into the bed without even flicking on a light. The sheets were like ice at first, but in ten minutes her body heat stayed trapped underneath the layers of cloth, and she drifted off peacefully.

To Whom It May Concern,

Sneaking into the party late, she had missed the murder but not the drama that came after. All this commotion made her a very sleep girl. She stumbled around the building until she finally reached her destination. Looking at all the doors that aligned the halls she rested upon room "356"

"These rooms have really..odd numbering...Someone must have been a wee bit tipsy."
She says with a giggle before opening the door and quickly falling asleep, as she was a bit tipsy herself.

Sincerely,
Hey Man Sex

In the dead of night, while everyone sleeps cozily in their beds, a chilly breeze howls through the hotel hallways. A dark-haired figure floats along the corridor, observing various doorways. It's so transparent you think it may just be a trick of the eye, but a soft sound... almost like... crying? Tells you otherwise. Vanishing into a section of wall between room 333 and 335, the visage is gone as quickly as it came.

After finally finding a room to suit her, Meny closes the door behind her and proceeds to the window where curtains are blowing softly in the wind. Irritated, she closes the window hard and mutters a small gasp as her littlest finger is nicked. Watching as a small bit of blood seeps into her glove she tears it off and places it on the stand.

For a few moments she trys the small telephone beside the decorated bed to see if she can get a hold of her lawyer- which is unsuccessful. Tired, angry and a little frightened, she falls into a deep sleep above the covers- where she dreams of shadows and beckoning hands.

To Whom It May Concern,

She jerks awake for a moment, hearing the crying and not being so tipsy anymore, she peaks into the hallway to investigate.

"Anny...one there?"

Hearing no one answering her calls she peeks down both ends.
Suddenly.. her eyes focus for a brief minute.

"A...ghost? ...It can't be...must be the booze."

She gives it a slow second thought, liking her idea of the booze more then it being a ghost. As she is somewhat afraid of them. Ghosts have never been particularly kind to her and it's very hard to keep a conversation going with someone who just groans or cries all the time.

She shivers for e moment then climbs into bed slowly slipping back to sleep.

Sincerely,
Hey Man Sex

To Whom It May Concern,

Tossing and turning in her bed she gets up and stumbles from her room.

"Stupid old building....I just can't get comfy!"

She hits her cane on the wall as she walks down the hallway leading to the door back into the Foyer.

"I'll try and sleep later...I'm going to go see if any breakthroughs have been made.."

She opens the door and stumbles into the foyer.

Sincerely,
Hey Man Sex

Dakki made her way to claim a room for the next day.

"Hey, is 333 open?" She asked, rapping her fingers on the desk. There was no room 9, so she'd have to go with something that added up to it. 333 was the quickest she could think of.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. 'Goodnight, everyone,' calls Misaki, as she passes on the way to her new, mildew-free room. 'Hope nobody dies tonight!' Her laugher is tense and her voice cracks, betraying her anxiety, as she shuts her door, locks it (praying the lock will hold), drinks the potion that suppresses her wings, and switches off the light.

Finally getting her key, Dakki palmed it and passed down into the corridor. It was an odd place, completely devoid of fours, but that was alright. You could make 9 without four. Coming to her room, she opened the door and entered without turning on the light. It wasn't like she needed it.

The basics were all she needed, if that. She would have been content with a closet. The drapes were pulled over the windows and comforter off the bed. If she slept in it at all, she wouldn't require them.

Elyon paused outside of a door with the number 531, she hummed and titled her head to the side a bit. Well if she added the numbers up they made 9 and 9 seemed like a good number. Being careful to breath only through her mouth she entered the room and shut the door behind her.
It was warm in the room and she was glad of that, with her outfit she was sure she would have to change if the room was too cold.
