I suppose I shall get this forum going. ^_^.
So here's a little background about how I created her:
Originally, I wanted to write somewhat of an epic story kind of thing, and it actually started when I saw the Victoria Francés picture that I use for Xalia. I pretty much took the saying 'A picture is worth a thousand words' literally here, as all I did was look at the picture and manged to get her whole character background, and I'm actually surprised I managed to do it myself.

That's the picture there, and I suppose you could say it's my favorite as I do have a poster, button, makeup case, and messenger bag with the picture on it. I don't know what it is, I just think it's cool.
Character Profile~
Name: Azalea D'Vangeline, aka Xalia
Race (Human, Vamp, Werewolf, etc): Vampire
Age: 21, Appears roughly 17/18
Weapon of Choice: Sword, throwing daggers, some magic
Appearance: Waist length deep black hair, piercing icy blue eyes. Very attractive, radiant, though pale. Dressed in traveling garments, she has the appearance of elegance with a warrior side.
Bio: Daughter of a prominent figure in society, a king in fact, Xalia ran away from home because of her father trying to control different aspects of her life. Once was human until one fateful night, while traveling through some woods with her companion, she was taken by vampires and turned. From then on, she's trained herself to handle what new powers she has, along with wielding a blade, intending to put it to good use. Now content with the monster she has become, Xalia has vowed to destroy anyone she learns is a vampire, a race she will never trust for what they have done to her. Now I'm using Xalia here in the Rp to help with my story that I intend to use her with. I'll probably add a more in depth bio about her later.

And now for a really long background post that sums up a bit on her life. This will help me work out some kinks to her story to improve it, so if you want, you can let me know what you think. =P
Growing up, Xalia had always pretty much spoiled, being the daughter of a king. She grew up with a childhood friend, Xander, who was taken in by her father's favored blacksmith.
Nearing the date of young Xalia's sixteenth birthday, her father intended to find his only daughter a suitor with the intention of expanding his kingdom and also using the marriage as a peace treaty with others. Xalia refused to see any of the men that came to see her, finding she was actually in love with Xander. But there was a problem with that match up.
Xander later became the blacksmith's apprentice, placing him with a lower social status and Xalia's father would have no daughter of his marrying him, even if he was learning from the best blacksmith he had. A wedding arrangement was set to commence despite Xalia's refusal to even give anyone a chance.
The night before the arranged marriage was intended to be held, Xalia packed up a few things with Xander. Just before the two left the palace, she took her father's daggers, which bore the king's seal engraved on the hilt. They'd be the only thing she took that came from her father, besides the gold heart locket she wore that was a birthday gift from her parents.
Traveling the land for a long while, they came upon what appeared to be a deserted cabin on the edge of a forest. Taking residence, the two made due with what they had, willingly giving up what life of luxury they may have had before as long as they were together.
One dark morning, the two were attacked and driven out of the cabin. Running into the woods, they went deeper and deeper in, never realizing they were nearing a clan of vampires with every step they ran. Finally overcome, though they really had no chance, they were taken to the clan's leader, a pure blooded vampire, and awaited their fate.

**Continuation of Xalia's background briefly.**
(More indepth intended for my book, this is merely a summary for my purposes)
At first, the clan's leader was going to let his people feed on them. After all, how often to they really find live food around their territory? Instead, when learning who Xalia was, and along with Xander's protesting, they put a spell on Xander. It caused him to turn into a hawk when outside the clan's territory, though it was unknown at the time.
Taking Xalia's nobility as their advantage for future plans, the leader turned her himself. They had the intention of Xander being her first victim, but she refused. Lucky for her, a traveler wandered nearby and his blood was drunk by Xalia, consumed with bloodlust by then.
After realizing what she did, what she'd become, Xalia was going to try and kill herself once more. With much convincing from Xander, she got a grip on herself, figuring out a new way to deal with it.
Staying with the clan of vampires, Xalia forged her own sword, which she now uses along with small throwing knives given to her, along with occasionally using her father's daggers. She also came to learn there was a difference between Pure Bloods and Turn Bloods like herself. (You've been warned: I'm using my own brand of vampire here because I wanted to get really creative. Pretty much your basic vampire with a few twists) Pure Bloods:
† May not enter the sunlight
† Don't like garlic
† Must consume blood on a regular basis, may last up to 2-3 months without it.
† Fire, crucifixes, holy water, and silver have no effect
† Wounds heal fast
† Lack of blood triggers the bloodlust, putting them on a murderous rampage until they've consumed enough blood to satisfy them
† Enhanced senses, movements/reflexes; nearly 20 times better than the average human's
† Not victim to poisons or mind control
† May die with total lack of blood and any damage to vital organs, minus lungs
† Not impotent (Pure Bloods have to come from somewhere)
† May feed from another vampire; act may be sexual among mates, unless in the affect of bloodlust
† Act as a tracking device; Pure Bloods may tell where someone is if they have drunk some of their blood; Highly accurate- they may confirm roughly exact locations
Turn Bloods:
† May walk freely in the sun
† Must consume blood on a regular basis, may last roughly 2 weeks without it
† Not able to turn another into a vampire. Rare cases have been reported where the victim was on the verge of death.
† Fire is very harmful
† Holy water, crucifixes, and silver have no effect
† Simple wounds heal fairly quickly, not as fast as a Pure Blood.
† May die with total lack of blood and any damage to vital organs
† Enhanced senses, movements/reflexes; roughly 20 times better than the average humans
† Not impotent
† May feed from another vampire; act may be sexual among mates, unless in the affect of bloodlust
† Not victim to poisons or mind control
† Act as a tracking device; Turn Bloods may tell where someone is if they have drunk some of their blood; Fairly accurate- they can tell the general location when they're close, but not exact **Will be continued later when I have more time. *Xalia background continued*
Prior to the young vampiress joining the clan's ranks, the prince (leader) was given a prophecy of 'a lost beautiful flower turning on her people with the companionship of a bird.' This was unclear to him at first, until Xander and Xalia came along.
Since the prince, Thanos, had commanded a few of his people to do what they wish with Xander, he was later told by them that the boy would turn into a hawk if he stepped out of their territory. This got him thinking, realizing Xalia's birthname, Azalea, and her being lost to the kingdom (as by then it was known throughout she either ran away or was kidnapped; at this point it is unknown), would place her as the 'lost flower' and her friend now as the bird companion.
As he took this into consideration, it was also brought to his attention that Xalia was also the king's only daughter, and he decided this would be some sort of leverage of taking over the kingdom to let his race be dominant over all others. This led him to turning her himself, also with the intention of making her his.
This did not work as smoothly as he planned, though. In time, Xalia trained to use her forged blade with ease, becoming one of the better warriors the clan were training. Not only that, but she also gathered a few supporters, namely other Turn Bloods that had taken a wrong turn in the forest, as they felt for her in that way. With their help and Xander's, Xalia manged to destroy nearly half the clan before she and her lover took off to escape.
Taking in the recent events, it occurred to Thanos that the prophecy had come true right then. He overlooked the possibility of 'her people' being his clan, as she was now a vampire. He had actually thought it referred to her father's people instead.
Enraged, he condemned that small group that helped her to a punishment of fewer servings of blood, which meant they couldn't feed off of others or be slipped any blood unless he allowed it. Every now and then he sends a few of his people to track her down, knowing they could outnumber her as Xalia would be by herself with hawk. He wanted to make sure he had her in his ranks to ensure he still had some chance of over throwing the king.
