Village Square where the heart of the incident took place. It is the main area spotted once entering Trance. The buildings are bulged out as if something in the middle were pressing and expanding outward against them. The atmosphere in the air is an eerie red as if the air itself is tainted with blood and the ground resembles the same hue. Some say that the bloodshed of the people caused from the catastrophe of the village forever stained the air and ground as a reminder to it's people of what happened. Most of the small buildings here have been abandoned. Villagers are wary of strangers and they are not the most kind of individuals.

Kanan shifted from his hiding spot in a run down building. He slowly got up and stretched his limbs making his leather armor stretch to its limits. His brown eyes darted around the room in a quick search to make sure he wasn't in the company of anyone he did not know or want to know.
He ruffled his messy brown hair and yawned as he checked the rest of his person for his belongings. He quickly went over his mental checklist,"Armor," he whispered to himself as he patted himself and looked for specific clasps to the toughened hide he was wearing,"Check"."Weapons," he once again whispered," Check". "Money, health and I'm alive," he whispered quickly,"Check, check, and great,". He whispered the last part sarcastically as he had an inkling that he was alive but never truly cared if he was.
He quickly darted out of his hiding spot with his hand on his dagger, if he could call it that. He was an overly suspicious person but that is how he survived this long so he was not going to question something that worked. Kanan's stomach then decided to make itself known by grumbling. he looked at his stomach as if had betrayed him before commenting on it.
"You really need to be more quite or you'll get us both killed you know that" Kanan asked his stomach as if it would respond and it did but only in the form of another growl. Kanan hung his head as he tightened the straps on his armor so it would be more form fitting instead of comfortable. He pulled on his fingerless leather gloves as he admired the metal studs in the knuckles. He truly enjoyed his armor but it came with a price just like the rest of his things. He sighed to himself as he made his way to the marketplace.

In a fast motion of movement, Lilith landed in on one of the nearby rooftops of the village. Most of the people were wary of her appearance by now because of the one she followed. But she cared not. None of them would spot her at this distance. She had received word that the chieftain of the village had left the pavilion. Whatever it was it must have been urgent. Even more strange she could feel a foreign seishou in the village towards the woods. But then again there were many foreign energies that came from the woods. They were the bordering lines to Mistvail. Still she had no time to worry about such things. There was munch more she had in her agenda to worry about. Whatever it was, they deserved it. There time had come. As she hopped across the rooftops she would side glance the overall landscape of Trance. The village was nothing more than a mere shadow of it's former shape these days. When she landed on the last rooftop, she knelt ever it's edge and gazed down at the people going about their daily business. "Little rodents. Truly they are." She smiled coldly upon them.

Above one of the higher rooftops, Carsaik gazed down upon the area where Lilith knelt. He had been scouting the village for sometime now. Of course he would have to watch his step. The havoc he had placed upon here was public knowledge to everyone in this village, even the children. But as time passed, his image would fade from most of their minds. Not to mention because Carsaik had come of age, his appearance had changed for the better after all these years. For many minutes he would stand on top of the higher roof, feeling out the entirety of the village. Something was a bit off. Another seishou was present besides the Chieftains to the direction of the woods. Though he couldn't care any less about what was going on there. He had no compassion for this village nor it's people. He was through with them a long time ago. He had grew up into this place without any form of lineage and he needed none now that he was officially done with it.
"Interesting seishou in that area don't you think..." He smiled. It was rare that a seishou like this come from any place else besides the forest. Trance rarely had visitors besides the Gear Folk scientists that would come study the outskirts of the village from time to time. The chieftain didn't like them, however they seemed pretty harmless until that seishou arrived. Then again the same could have been said for Carsaik not many years ago, but that was a story for another time. "Amasha, why don't you head over the other side and pay them a visit. We have unfinished business here." He hopped from down the ledge onto the rooftop behind her. "Once you reached the area, don't do anything rash if you don't need to. Just find out what you can and let me know. You know where I'll be." He nodded.

Aramil walked into the village square noticing many people and some were hiding from others. He walked up to a food stall and order a burrito. The clek asked for money so he put his right hand in his pocket. Making some gold he formed it into a coin that would pay for the food, and best of all no one would know it was fake. Aramil had many a year to practice this skill so he placed the newly made coin on the stall and took the burrito opening the wrapper. He started to eat it as he sat on the ground up against a wall.

Va'an made his way into town, dodging the crowds as he took off his robe, free from the forest and deciding that it was more trouble keeping it on in a place where there was so many people. Not to mention his pockets were better kept in hand than at the mercy of grubby little desperate hands. He knew of this village's strife, the hell that it was now, a shadow of its former self, and he had plans to change all that. He was no saint, though he was a traveler, and not a pilgrim either, but his was a divine plan, in that it would bring salvation to this little hell hole. Va'an had left something important here long ago, and he was sure that reclaiming it would help to lift the curse that plagued this village. Indeed he had come, first to bring salvation to this village, and second to find that important person he had come to see. First things first though he had to go to the highest tower in the center of town. That was where he had left his goddess after all. "Won't be long now, my goddess. Hopefully you've been patient and stayed put.... It would seem that way." His eyes constantly shifting to the shadows, catching those that stirred there and kept on the edge of vision, quickly darting away from the public eye. He was sure he could hear the sounds of bones crunching and the smell of fresh blood and meat, something the plebians wouldn't notice with their dull senses. The ones who lived in the dark and fed off this village from the shadows were always busy, and some poor fool had been caught straying too far alone.

For a moment there she couldn't sense him behind her. His skill in the stealth arts had increased over the period of time she had known him. It was almost scary at some point. Though he didn't strike her as the type that would sneak behind a person to kill them. Returning a smile she nodded. "Yes I've felt it for a while now. Can't say I know what it is just yet, but whatever it is you're right. It's not from the village." The wind rustled through her spiky hair. Trance served as a nice place where he could complete start off the root of their plans. As far as she knew, Carsaik wasn't the only old wound throbbing within the heart of the village. What he did back then may not have been the right path of going about things, but in her eyes it was justice. This village was far beyond changeable and the current state of it was the living proof of it. "I'll go check it out. Just let me know when you're ready to proceed with things." She dropping from the rooftop into the crowd. As she went along with the crowd she passed up foreigners that seemed to stick out amongst the other individuals that walked by.

To the very heart of the city, more than anyone else knew, that was the traveler's destination. He had to make his way through parts of the city no one dared to go to any more. They were places that the dark now inhabited, places full of shadows and the dangers of the other side that had come into this town. There was nothing here that the traveler feared of course, and he knew the dangers of this little village's dark side. There was no reason for him to fear what he had created.... He simply wanted back what was his now. Creatures that would normally pounce on those foolish enough to stumble into the heart of the village went out of their way to avoid him, and those brave enough to stray close, kept their distance, as little boys intending to brag about how brave they were often did when they were too afraid to truly get as close as they were sure to say they had. Even now, they were so bold as to play this game, skirting out of his way if caught before him, and he was only just out of the public district, the area of the village that was still safe. It was no wonder people stayed from here, but that was to be expected. What amazed Va'an was the fact that the creatures were so eager to forget he was not one of them, not one to be trifled with. Perhaps he might kill one of these beasts before he reached his destination. He could only muse and chuckle to himself that the others would do well to learn from the one foolish enough to try him.

Once Lilith left, Carsaik would make his departure as well. As he hopped through the rooftops he couldn't help but notice something strange towards the heart of the village. It was the creatures. Not really their presence, but their sudden change in nature. As he gazed out into the open, he spotted someone. Judging by the looks of his physical features, this man was a vampire. Not just any vampire, but one that held a seishou strong enough to thwart off the weaker monsters in the area. Obviously this guy was up to something seeing how he was heading straight towards the area of the village where most villagers avoided. Giving into curiosity, Carsaik followed the man until they reached the area where an abundant source of beasts were. "Look what the cat drags out this time, a lone vampire" His voice bellowed from above one of rooftops behind the man.
The wind began picking up slightly, causing the torn maroon sash on the left side of his waist to dance along with the current. This side of the village was somewhat the territory of Carsaik's for the simple fact that many were afraid to enter it. And for that reason it served as a base where his work could progress without any disturbances. But this stranger here took it upon himself to enter the heart of darkness. He was aware that vampires had a knack for trouble wherever they went, but for this one to enter this side of Trance wasn't a good move even for a vampire. The Moon Folk of Trance for one despised vampries, or Blood Folk as the Moon Folk called them. Not only this, but to top it off the vampire had entered Carsaik's territory. "Normally I'd just kill you for crossing what I call 'the line of no return' but since you caught their attention, you caught mine as well. So tell me what brings you to this side of Trance....."

There wasn't any reason for Va'an to answer the native man, and for that reason alone, he did not. Without even acknowledging him, Va'an kept on his merry way. He did stop though, when he came to the old village square. Originally, it was the main square before the beasts claimed this part of the village. So, it was much larger than the square in the outskirts that was used nowadays. Something had something very tasty on the one side of the square, and was busy eating it. It hardly noticed Va'an enter, but did drag off its kill when he stepped out towards the center of the square. "Hmph." The fountain was still working, though a bit clogged up, and Va'an was certain there were a few plant species that did not belong to this world, and that was the interesting bit. He was a little more than halfway there now, and more than just a little on the other side. "Oh native boy." Va'an called finally deciding to acknowledge Carsaik "If you come any further along, you might die, and I won't have anything to do with that. Once I'm gone, so all the troubles of this village will be too." Scooping a strange dark, purplish lotus from the surface of the water in the fountain, he took a seat on the edge. "Isn't it wonderful though? Even in darkness there's such beauty. People take the light for granted, and fear the dark. They think beauty exists solely in the light, and that these nightmarish creatures are nothing more than monsters. ...They are nothing more than monsters, but see how they live? How they thrive? We call them monsters for their appearance, but they are simply a different species, who happen to feed on humans. I wonder if cattle call man monster...." Standing and crushing the flower, pocketing the seeds "Heh, it is strange that man calls whatever bests him on the food chain a monster, but never once thinks himself a monster, though he thinks the top is his place alone." The tower was within sight, and Va'an was of no mind to waste any more time, so he kept walking, away from the fountain towards the other end of the square. It was visibly darker ahead, like dusk had already fallen on the very center of the village, and though the sun was beginning to sink low in the sky, it was not yet that late. The creatures, larger ones now, the nasty kind people hardly ever saw, were beginning to creep up on Va'an from behind, thinking themselves clever to sneak up behind him. The ones in the alleyway ahead concerned Va'an more. Those were the smart ones, and he could only hope the really smart kind weren't waiting to crash out of some window overhead and pounce on him from above. That would be very annoying.

One thing was certain, this vampire could talk a lot. Especially about things that didn't concern nor interest Carsaik. With each word the vampire spoke it became that munch more difficult for Carsaik to actually take him seriously. Anyone who sat alone thinking about type of conversations cattle had was a bit loose minded. Instead, Carsaik rose his left arm towards the sky. From the bandages a sinister seishou began leaking from their crevices, ever so swirling around the arm in thick vapors of blue mist. Each one of the monsters from the smallest to largest began responding to this gesture and the look in their eye would change accordingly. The stares that once held fear now held aggression and blood lust. Each of them would slowly encircle the vampire, their jaws flinging to each side with drool slapping to the side of their cheeks like rabid dogs. They resembled larger forms of panthers, except for the large curving ram like horns that curled along their ears. Their eyes were stained with the same tainted blue that resembled the mist in Mistvail Forest. One of them would let let out an ear shattering roar that shook the very foundations of the Village Square. The scampering sounds of more creatures from the mist began filling up around the area. Finally, Carsaik would answer the vampire's questions.
"Let's just say this darkness that you call trouble, started in this village a long time ago." He spoke in reference to the incident when he forever changed the village. But that was a story for another time, and he need not explain himself to those that were lesser in knowledge than a child when it came to these subjects. He took notice as the vampire went into the monologue regarding human behavior, however he showed no interest. By now the beasts had surrounded the fountain where the vampire sat. Rising the seishou engulfed arm once more, he pointed towards the vampire causing the beasts to sprint off in pursuit without the slightest hesitation. Behind the fountain one of them would pounce forward, it's claws slashing horizontally for the man's shoulder while three of these creatures dove fang first towards the vampire's face. Another from the left side would aim it's fangs for the vampire's left arm. "You seem froggy for a vampire, but last I checked frogs leaped...not conversate." He said before dropping from the rooftop into the crowd of creatures. As his form rose from the moving darkness, more of these beasts ran past him. The sound of their fangs clicking and their paws slamming against the ground became louder as they each of them drew near.

"Indeed," Va'an was there next to Carsaik when he hit the ground "but I never did understand that phrase in all my years. What does it mean to be froggy?" Shaking his head and frowning at the snarling beasties "At any rate, I prefer to be likened to a serpent. You...you could be likened to a dog, but to do so would be cliche I think. When it strikes me, I'll let you know. A weasel seems too glorifying for you...." His reasoning could only be guessed at, and he seemed unconcerned with the beasts as he disappeared among their ranks. The beasts themselves were confused with his seeming total disappearance as they clearly could not find them amongst themselves. There was a disturbance though that announced his presence. A few of the creatures had taken off running after Va'an as he flew down the street out of the square towards that tower in the center of the village. The reason for his haste, was not out of fear for the beasts, or their numbers. He simply felt he had wasted time and needed to make it up.

"It means you should have paid attention in class instead of thinking about weasels and snakes." He responded to the vampire's question with cold laughter. It was a bit pitiful to see a vampire as old as this one lacking in simple knowledge that was common even amongst the youngest children of today's generation. But this case was different. We were talking about a special vampire here. Far from the type of 'special' that would positively distinct him from his kind. A vampire who preferred to be compared to animals such as serpents and other lesser beings. Yet, he was actually so confident that he believed he could escape the imminent death encroaching on those fragile doorsteps that he referred to as life. The minute the vampire ran passed Carsaik his arm erupted black cursed flames mixed in with a swirling blue aura, causing the bandages to tatter and wither away, leaving the remaining pieces float off into the winds. Carsaik then raised the black flame engulfed arm and plunged it into the ground causing a wall of black flames to erupt from both the exit and entrance of the village square. Soon the majority of the bandages were removed and underneath them they revealed a seishou gloved arm covered in a fiery black substance. Failure awaited the vampire if he thought he'd escape without a fight. "Too late vampire. You you should have thought about future plans earlier. Besides, the future is for the living. Instead, you went ahead and let your mouth write a check your a** couldn't cash."
Carsaik said as the black flames raged on. Large buildings began sinking slowly into the black flames as if there were a pool of quicksand underneath. These were no normal flames. Instead of thriving on oxygen, these flames survive specifically on the physical makeup of the environment. By now they had surrounded both the vampire and himself, exactly the way things were supposed to go. A mist blue aura began swirling around Carsaik's body as the arm emanated with immense seishou. The mark above the right golden eye began glowing a bright scarlet followed by the his left eye finally awakening to reveal a a brilliant azure blue. His left eye resembled the same opaque blue color in eyes of the beasts from Mistvail Forest. Seeing that the flames had completely blocked him off from anything, the beasts would now be a fang's reach from biting and clawing their way into the vampire's flesh. The beasts had already locked onto his seishou the minute he moved. For them to lose him amongst their ranks would be child's place, as they would never mistaken one such as a vampire amongst their own ranks. Their two anatomies were totally different. Little did he know, the beasts weren't even the prologue to battle to come. The true battle hadn't began to kick off yet. As this happened, Carsaik would ring around his left corrupted arm followed by a grin, as if warming up for the imminent battle. Soon the dancing black flames would completely morph into a semi-liquid form before sinking onto his arm and crawling along it similar to that of a moving black sleeve. Squeezing his hand into a fist, the strange the strange mucus like flame around the top half of his shoulder would began solidifying itself before protruding into a series of long black spikes, adding to it's sharpening power while still sustaining it's incredible burning power.
This flame had strange features about it. It was able to hold a solidity for many uses such as cutting as well as liquidation for seeping into even the tiniest of crevices while still retaining it's burning strength. Lastly not least was it's gaseous form, which was now burning away at the buildings. Although they burned slowly, the temperatures were munch higher than that of a normal flame hence how the the buildings that fell victim to them had begun sinking as if they were sitting upon a pool of acid. By now the wall of dark flames had completely encircled them as they continued their deadly onslaught upon the houses and the villagers held within. As each building fell, the flames would rise higher as they fed off of their physical make up. They wouldn't stop until they completely until there was no expended seishou left in the environment. By now they were just as tall as the buildings as well as the surfaces of the rooftops, making it even more difficult for anyone to enter or exit the battle from the opposite ends of the flame's perimeter. "Let's go vampire. You have a date with the reaper tonight, let's not keep her waiting." He grinned.

((Dude...froggy? Get over yourself xD))
"My a**? Why on earth would anyone have a donkey writing their checks? Of course a mere beast of burden can't do such a thing...it lacks the intelligence, not to mention the mechanical features necessary to implement a writing utensil." Va'an was chuckling over the man's idiocy as he turned back around, his stare apparently holding the beasts at bay despite their hitherto unwavering blood lustiness. With a plain expression he seemed to be taking it all in, all the flames and destruction...and blatant disregard for the total annihilation of this village. "My, my," He exclaimed with an almost exhausted tone "when I said this village's troubles would be over when I left, I didn't think I'd have to kill you to make good on that." Shaking his head a bit and rolling his eyes up before continuing "That strange power of yours...it seems to be tied to your seishou somehow, which means its particular to you. Unique, one might say. It might interest me otherwise, but seeing as how its probably not something that can be taken from you...I have no interest in it." The beasts were getting testy and one stepped forward. It lost an arm, cut off in the blink of an eye, but the traveler had certainly not drawn his sword. Instead he held the arm in his hand and tossed it aside "Now then, if you intend to keep me here, I am content to amuse you a while longer. I love to play the part of the fool you see, educating those who think they're high and mighty. However, if you're intent is to kill me, then I wish you luck. One problem of course, which is that power of yours may just prove enough to do the trick. I can't have that as I have matters yet to attend to in this life. You wouldn't want my ghost haunting you so I shall have to do my best to not get killed. Really, even if you wind up dead, I'm doing a courtesy to you. I can be quite persistent and I imagine I'd make a particularly nasty haunt." It was all just good business to Va'an, and it made no difference whether the boy wanted to keep him here a while or not, seeing as how he didn't have much of a choice. He'd even closed his eyes and heaved a sigh. "I'm not one prone to fighting...and I'd have liked to be further along by now. Really, all I want is to be on my way as quickly as possible, so don't keep me waiting. One thing peaks my curiosity though, if you'll answer before we begin. You referred to Death as a woman, calling the reaper 'her.' Was this a courtesy to me, in that you assume I am a heterosexual which would be polite I suppose unless I was actually not heterosexual, or was it simply that you also believe Death to be female?" He had folded his one arm across his midriff holding his other elbow while he held his chin to ask this question. Evidently he was more curious about the man's answer than he was concerned about everything else going on.

The second after the vampire asked his first question, one of the beasts had sunk it's teeth into the vampire's jugular vein followed by more of them that latched onto his arm before slashing away at his flesh. Blood would splatter thickly towards the ground as they began tearing through the vampire's flesh. Indeed it may have been possible to grab one arm, hadn't he wasted the majority of his time speaking during the assault, however by now they had piled on top of him. Their fangs were sharp as a blade's cold edge and their eyes burned with an azure brilliance like no other. The explanation as to why this was happening was because the vampire chose to speak and ask questions rather than defending himself against the horde of mist demons who were already in biting range. Carsaik watched as this happened, he could have drawn Saigatsumune to finish the vampire off for good but he decided to see what the vampire was capable of instead....if he survived that is. "Back to your question." He casually responded back to the vampire despite the bloody mess he put him in. "Clean yourself up and pull yourself together." He grinned.
As the beasts would have their fill, Carsaik would motion his left hand causing the black flames to slowly crawl forward, increasing the radius in area in which they burned. The nearby houses behind the vampire would began creaking before breaking away as their weight gave in to the now saturated heat and pressure in the area. Large pieces of fiery timber would collapse upon the vampire, including the creatures that were currently ravaging his body. Despite this, they still continued even until their forms were crushed beneath the horrible weight of the buildings. There was no reason for him to pay attention to what the vampire was saying beneath the burning rubble. He had heard enough to get a general idea of this bat's character. "No need to speak on such trivial matters. Besides any bat that pondered on the subject of sexuality while in battle was a....how should we say it..erh..um...a fruit bat. And not exactly in citrus eating breed either." He mocked the vampire with a short chuckle. Apparently the creature wasn't dead just yet, as he could hear it slightly speaking underneath the piles of wood. The mist blue aura surrounding Carsaik's arm grew thicker and more sinister with each coming moment. The few bandages that were still present around his left arm were dancing violently through the air, but there was no wind. The left azure eye peered out towards the area where the rubble was. Carsaik then lowered his left arm and touched the ground with the tip of his index and middle finger, both of them lit with two tiny beacons of azure seishou at their tips. As soon as they met with the ground, the ground was rendered permeable and his fingers sank through it.
Ripples began circling outward from the area he touched as if he had touched the surface of a puddle. Soon the soil beneath his feet blackened and the area around it would be reduced to a lake of liquid darkness, or liquefied flames if you will. From this abyssal lake of darkness that spread through the village square, a series hands would rise to the surface followed by wails of what seemed like twenty creatures rushing up for oxygen. Carsaik then rose and stood straight forward, before coking his head to each side. The mark above his right eye was as glowed as bright as a blood ruby. As the environment around him became altered, he paused slightly followed the broadening of the grin present on his face.
