Austino333 Metallica is better but i almost said protes the hero lol. I personally like slayer more, but what ever. also, protest the hero is ctually a pretty good band ( listen to sings like sequoia throne, and heritics and killers) their name sounds corny, but they have one the best bassist EVER! also, they have an amazing guitarist and vocalist.

Yeah i listen to Protest The Hero all the time especially Herectics And Killers but in the end i went with Meatallica

I don't meet many people with an interest in them, I am happy that there are more people that have heard them and like
( as dumb as it sounds, I found out about them by Tap Tap Revenge 2 on the iPod touch, which was recently stolen crying )

Personally Slayer because of the fact that they have continued to stick to their roots and not experiment with bullshit like Metallica. Don't get me wrong, I like Metallica and all but I have to say that I like Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman better as guitarists than Kirk and James. Not to mention the fact that when Slayer released Reign in Blood they briefly touched on what would become the Death Metal genre. Plus Tom Lombardo is a WAAAAAAYYYYY better drummer than Lars.

i love them both but, i chose metallica in the poll (very personal reasons), i love slayer as well (& it's nowt to do with kerry king *drool* heart redface )

Slayer is better than metallica for alot of reasons:
1: raing blood, duH!
2: They sing about serial killers and satanism, while metallica sings about the sandman coming to get you and destroying everyone in town.
3: SLAYER!!!!
4:Heavier, faster and darker.
I could go on, but slayer wins!
