I have talked to many people before and approached them normally and while they would have never noticed(until I'm extremely pissed off) that I has Asperger's Syndrome. Pretty much I try to act normal and people miss it. But I know I have it because of my social awkwardness and inability to approach certain people. And I know I have it because I often out of my elements(like funerals) and have no idea what I am doing and I freak out.

But still the point is, can it be possible to hide that you have Asperger's Syndrome or are people just a bit oblivious?

i think it depends on how AS affects an individual and also how much other people know about it

Well the people who know plenty to get by are the ones who overlook it. The experts however who come into schools usually in the Special Ed program to do a few tests like mental tests and maybe study social patterns with others, those people have picked up quickly that I have Asperger's (simply by my awkwardness with women a lot of times).

Also since High School, right after my graduation, I went through some serious reform. I failed to make it in the US Navy and I spent a good year waiting to get into college and I stayed at home and did nothing and couldn't go anywhere. It led me to lose my mind. I guess when I got inot college, I got more involved and started coming out of my shell(while I still hide in my shell a lot).

I also recently learned at a leadership retreat that I have attended, I have a drive for bondage and little bit for learning and that can lead to making me a better person too. I guess my Asperger's Syndrome drives more into social awkwardness now and still afraid to talk to women in person. But I still favor my ability to be creative and have an imagination that's wild.

I've never been able to hide it. Regardless of whatever it was I thought I was hiding, everyone always knew I was "weird".

Of course, it doesn't help that I also have mild Tourette's syndrome. It's totally under control now, but in my school life, apparently I used to make a barking noise. >.>
