Here you can each nominate an author that you would like to read for December. Please make sure that you don't nominate the same author as your book of the month, we don't want everything to be the same.

I will nominate C.J. Cherryh. Hopefully her mix of fantasy and science fiction will have a relatively broad appeal.

I'd like to nominate Tabitha Suzuma. I've only read one of her books so far (others are in the mail :~D) but I fell in love with her writing straight away.

All nominations so far have been noted down smile
And I just noticed that I haven't nominated an author yet either. I would like to nominate Ian Rankin. He's a Scottish writer and is considered one of the kings of Crime writing. I met him not too long ago at a book signing for his new book 'The Complaints', and he's most famous for his Inspector Rubus novels.

Id like to nominate Brent Weeks. Hes a new author only been out since last year I think, but author of the Night Angel Trilogy. His books are scifi, and very dark actually, not to be read to children, or squeamish people xd . The Night Angel Trilogy is about a young boy, Azoth, who wants out of the Warrens, similar to what you might callthe very very poor side of town. He goes for an apprenticeship with the master assassin or as they call themsleves wetboys, Durzo Blint. He does indeed get apprenticed and his adventures start. Some of the things that are in only the two books Ive read (Ive got the third, and about to start it) are; child rape, gruesome death scenes, prostitutes, brothels, gruesome scars, betrayal, the true cost of love, and just many other things.

I have been meaning to read 'The Way of the Shadows' for a long while now. So perhaps if he is voted in, it will be the time to read it!
