I can't find a forum to help newbies like me who breastfeed so I started one! Hopefully it will help.

my baby girl is 4 days old when feeding I wait until she is done with one breast before I switch her. Lately (because everyone has an opinion now that I'm home) everyone has been telling me to switch every five minutes. I do tend to get engorged from one side to another but not really all that bad. I want to know what experienced mothers do.

hopefully someone responds. I'm not exactly the most financially sound mother especially during this recession but please help me out with this one. my friend (also broke) ran out of formula and her W.I.C wasn't for another week I think maybe two; anyway she hates the thought of breast feeding so she wanted to know if I would well spare some.....I don't mind being a wet nurse but does anyone do that anymore?

I haven't breast feed mine but I do know that some people say five minutes to ten minutes for each breast.. But really I think you should do what is comfortable for you and the baby even if its like 20 minutes for each boob.. And if you become a wet nurse remember this you boobs are gonna be SUPER engorged and start to work for two babies and if your only gonna do it for a week it probually wont go away and your gonna need a breast pump or a nice shower.
