Edward

Pros: Um... He's pretty. That's pretty much it.

Cons: He's got more mood swings than a pregnant woman, he's abusive, the whole "I'll give you anything you want, Bella!!!!1" and then telling her what she can and can't do is bullshit, and there are more adjectives to describe his beauty than there are words of actual plot. That and he's a *****. I mean, he's 100+ years old, and is dating a 17-year-old girl? And he's the really creepy thing, he would have been attracted to her even if she was five. Or fourty. It's weird.

Jacob

Pros: Before Smeyer massacred his character (not unlike his race), he was a caring friend, had great values in life (protecting the town from evil seems like a pretty big plus), didn't let Bella's emoness bring him down, and he's freaking smart (well... unless you count his taste his women).

Cons: Eclipse. Breaking Dawn. In Eclipse I think SMeyer realized she'd given Jacob too much of a good personality, and that simply wouldn't do so she turned him into a rapist. Deciding that wasn't enough, she wrote Breaking Dawn to turn him into a *****.

dudemeister12, u r hilarious! and u got everything exactly right, except for the fact that edward would do anything to protect her. but other than that, it was way better said than i probably could have done!
