If you know anything about this movie you'll agree that, while not precisely 'Steampunk' it is highly relevant to such interests.

The previous restoration in 2001 was missing at least a half-hour of footage thought to have been lost forever.

Last year, in a museum in Buenos Aires, an original 16mm print was found. If an epic thrill of feeling history in the making does not thrill you to your bones at this news, check your pulse because you might be dead.

The fully restored original cut will premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival on February 12, accompanied by a version of the film's original score performed by the Berlin Rundfunk Symphony Orchestra.

If I had any way to get over $1200 for two round-trip tickets, I would SO be there.

WHAT?!? A fully restored version?? C'est marvelleux!! Oh, I can't wait until they release it on DVD!!

Now if only someone would discover a lost copy of London After Midnight... (I love a good old movie now and then, don't you?)

Well, from some sources I'm hearing there may be a matter of thirty seconds irretrievable at the end of a reel, but even then, compared to the previous lack of thirty minutes I think one could effectively call it complete.
