What is Cryptozoology?
The study of Cryptids. Examples are the Jersey Devil, Chupacabra, Big Foot and more.
What is a Cryptid?
a term which is used in cryptozoology to refer to a creature whose existence has been suggested but lacks scientific support. This includes purported organisms such as Bigfoot, Yeti, and the Loch Ness Monster
Is it really a study?
Yes, it is, though it's not as recognized as other studies.
So it's a study of fake creatures?
Not exactly. It covers creatures that have been around in history for quite some time. The Jersey Devil has been around for over 200 years.
Are the creatures real?
It's unknown, that's why it's such a strange study. It's based on eye witness accounts and artistic renditions of the creatures. They usually have a history and are usually abominations. It's like Angels, you have eyewitness accounts, a belief system, and an idea.
