Magic and Abilities: Jade has the ability to take various aspects of those around him. This is both a gift and a curse, because he can help others but he is also personally affected. Luckily he can choose when to use and when not to use this ability, but sometimes he unknowingly does this. This also means that he can take aspects of other people’s personalities and form. He’s kind of like a pool of water; he is affected by every little thing around him. He also has the ability to transform into a full ermine, while he is an ermine he loses the ability to be affected by others.
Bio: Jade was born into a noble’s family. Being born rich had many effects on him, he never really had any troubles in his life, and everything was perfect. He was different from other nobles; he cared about those around him immensely, such as his servants. He always treated them with respect, while other nobles would be mean to their servants just because they could. Jade’s father was this type of man; he was very harsh to those under him and those around him. He would hurt commoners for no real reason, and Jade never understood him, but his father really did love him so things like that were overlooked. One time, Jade’s personal servant (and very close friend), Oliver, made a mistake in the presence of Jade’s father, Jade’s father of course turned around to punish Oliver. On the inside Jade wanted to yell at his father to stop him, but he of course did not. His father beat Oliver’s back and legs cause wounds to appear. Jade noticed that he began to feel pain across his body with every hit, but he didn’t say anything. Afterwards he checked his body and found that he too had wounds where Oliver had been hit, but Oliver didn’t even have a scratch. This was when he discovered his ability. Jade never said anything to his father, and he had Oliver swear to say nothing. Soon enough Jade’s wounds healed.
After many years, Jade eventually married Rena (a cat woman), the woman that he had been arranged to marry. He became very close to her and loved her with all his heart. He gave her his entire being, but there was a rivalry between the nobles, and because of his marriage Rena was murdered by an assassin. The moment it happened, Jade fell unconscious. The doctors had no idea why or how he had been hurt, but after a few days he woke up and recovered to live to tell the tale. He was emotionally broken for many months, but one day he just snapped and decided that he would change things. He took all the pain in and decided to leave his house. He packed a few essentials (including a bell which Rena had worn) and headed off to the world. He changed his attitude towards the world; he became totally carefree, disconnected from the world and those around him yet still a part of it.
Personality: Jade is extremely easygoing and carefree. He’s almost always smiling, despite what is going on, it appears as though he just enjoys being alive. He has a high sense of personal stature that no one can break, he respects himself as a person as is satisfied with who and what he is. He hides his actual mood behind the mask of being extremely careless and flamboyant despite the circumstance. He believes that taking pain and holding it in is the best thing he can do, and he almost takes pride in that. He only wants what is best for his friends, and despite the circumstances he will help them and protect them with his own life if necessary.
Description: Jade Runko is an ermine with almost fully white fur except for the tip of his tail and ears. He has short spiky hair which is also white. His eyes are bright green. Around his neck he always wears a collar and a cat bell on a sting. On his right hand he always wears a small red ribbon. He wears a large fluffy coat which looks like it was designed for winter along with basic pants and boots.
