Well, I am honestly not sure about anyone else but I am simply obsessed with the rocky horror picture show. I really wanted to go to the remake they had in downtown raleigh but none of my friends would go with me. If anyone lives close by and they are still doing the show (not sure) maybe we can go see it together!

Just a thought. Also, has anyone else seen the original or the movie? I thought they were both very awesome.

I bet that was just for Halloween.

I've seen the movie on DVD, and I saw it once in a theater, but it wasn't a proper showing. It has a pretty good story, though. xd
I have a friend out in the mountains who used to run the Henn Theater in Murphy, NC. A little family theater built in the 1940's, in a quiet little mountain town. My friend had heard about RHPS, but all she seemed to understand was that it was a cool movie with audience participation that would be great for Halloween. So, one Halloween she got the movie and showed it in her father's theater. The place was crammed with young folks, none of whom had a clue about the movie either. All they seemed to understand was that they would get to throw stuff in the theater. I think exactly 2 or 3 of my friend's friends knew any of the script.

Imagine the look on my friend's face when Frank struts out and starts singing "Sweet Transvestite". rofl As the movie progressed, she became ever more dumbfounded and appalled, certain the parents of the town would burn her alive for showing such a film to their kids (she had, at least made sure none under teen years got in--probably her friends' doing).

Meanwhile, the theater became increasingly chaotic as the crowd of teens, with no clue what they were supposed to be doing, just threw popcorn and everything else they could get their hands on constantly. The uproar pretty much drowned out the movie. Eventually they got the great idea of getting cups of ice from the concessions stand and throwing THAT. And then of course came the packed ice balls flying through the air. One smashed me violently in the back of the skull, and finally my friend snapped out of her shock, jumped up and yelled at the crowd to knock it off or she would stop the movie. I think at least no more ice was thrown, but soon the uproar was going full blast again and the concessions continued to fill the air, especially popcorn.

When the movie was done, the theater was a wreck. Ice, water and popcorn filled the floor and some of the old seat arms had been damaged or torn off.

Needless to say, she never showed RHPS again. smile

But when he threatened your life with a switch-blade knife...

What a guy!

Makes you cry!

Und I deed.

I LOVE the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I didn't know it was showing in Raleigh. I wish I could've gone. D: Nothing is sexier than Tim Curry in lingirie.

Eirwyn, that sounds about right. I can't watch it with any of my friends. They'd behave in the same stupid manner.

Yeah, but a movie like that really needs some prep, you know? Teach them what they'll be doing, what props they need, at least a little of the script. Just throwing people into that movie cold--you can't expect them to act right. And a whole theater full of RHPS virgins? gonk
